As Natural As One Breathes Air, So Do Adventurers Delve Into The Unknown

A ball of flame came bursting forth right into the chest of an already-worn-out Orc Guard. The intensity of the attack wasn't that impressive, but given the state that the monster was already in, even the smallest of sparks could cause a reaction or two from its battered body. 

The mage, who just exhausted his last remaining mana, slumped to the ground. Mana depletion is a common phenomenon, especially in quests, so he is no stranger to the feeling of helplessness that accompanies it right after. 

In his stead, a man pushed forward, slaying the staggering Orc guard with a slash of his two-handed sword. A fountain of blood gushed from the cut part, raining all over the rest of the adventurers as they watched the monster take its final breath.

The adventurers were quiet.

No, they were simply overwhelmed by the dread of facing a life-threatening situation that they were at a loss for what to do next.
