Nancy’s POV
Looking back at my friends’ confused faces, the first thought that comes to my mind is that I wish they could’ve met Ronnie before anyone else.
“Oh, believe me. I wasn’t expecting to see you of all people here either.” Sabrina smiles at me, but it doesn’t quite reach her eyes as she stares at me. The couple of times I’ve seen her smile at Ronnie, her eyes lit up with happiness.
“Did Ronnie decide to buy you something nice?” Sabrina arches a perfectly shaped eyebrow at me and tilts her head. She sounds truly intrigued about why I’m here.
Embarrassment turns my neck and cheeks pinkish. “No, my friends and I just wanted to check this place out. I’m gonna be around fancy-dressed people more often now, so I should know how to dress like them,” I chuckle a little awkwardly, not able to keep eye contact with Sabrina.
