Trevor's POV

The deafening sound causes a ringing sound in my ears causing me to lose balance and I was thrown away by the inevitable force of the grenade. Coughing, I use my hands to cover my nose to prevent inhalation of the toxic smoke from the blast then I used the other hand to wand off the fog. I don't have to be told twice as I could tell they used a grenade to blast the door open, smoke covered the board room and as I look around the foggy room, I notice Isabella is laying unconscious on the floor.

The smoke must have knocked her out. Most of my men were crushed by the huge door because they were closer to it. What a waste of muscles. Milena is coughing, I can't see her clearly but I know she's conscious. I tried walking her way to get to her before they do. Who knows she might come willingly.

Footsteps, and heavy footsteps approaching causes goosebumps all over my body making me shiver. A very cold shiver run through my spine as I hurriedly ran into my safe house before they saw me neglecting my plan of taking Miley along. The fog made it easier for me to escape without being seen as they expected everyone to be unconscious.

I lock the door behind me as soon as I made it through. Panting, I dialed my pin to lock it up before they finds a way to crack the code, I would be out of here already. I can hear muffled voices from the other door and I was right to run away. They were Leon's men.

" You were right, Boss. She was in danger but I got her" it's Milena's bodyguard in fact what is he doing here? Leon must have tipped them off but how? Isn't he supposed to be mad at her? Isabella should have warned me. It's a good thing I left her behind, that's what I get for dating a teenager. She's such a child. So scared and weak.

Damn it.

There's no time to waste, I quietly changed my outfit, grab a suitcase of cash from my safe, cleared up my desk for anything that will implicate me, take my wallet and phone, and tuck them into my pants pocket then evacuated the room through the basement door. My dad built it years ago for my mother. He wanted to spend quality time with his beloved wife even at work and now, it's saving their son from being killed by the military family.

It's still useful.

Someday, I'll bring Miley here. I know I will. She needs to spend more time with me. She needs to know that I'm still in love with her. Leon doesn't love her, he's just taking advantage of her because of the benefits of the arranged marriage. He must have raped her. There's no way Miley will allow him to touch her. She doesn't love him. My Miley doesn't fall in love. I'm going to save her from him.

She's going to be with me one way or the other.

Scampering through the rusty stairs, I come across an old car in the basement. My dad won't cease to amaze me. He just made this easier for me. His love for my mother was on a whole other level. He never cared about what others said, she was his priority. His pillar and someday Miley will have that too.

A bond.

Quickly, I removed the piece of leather he used to cover it up then check the fuel tank and damn it was full. Opening the door I realized there was no key, not a problem though as I ignited the engine by joining the ignition wires together.

Wala, the old rickety car screeched out loud. I'm good to go. I pack my things into the back seat, entered the car, and stepped on the brakes.

Carefully, I maneuvered the steering wheel and I'm out of the company in no time. Away from Leon and his nosy ass. Why can't he just let us be? She doesn't want him. She's too innocent for him. I'm sure he has a flock of girls dying to lay with him and worse he could be frolicking around cheating on my Miley. That's why I have vowed to get her out of that toxic marriage. She deserves more.

Looking out of the windscreen, I realize today was a disaster, not only did I lose the contracts, but I also blew my cover. Now I'm on the run. It would have been better if Miley was with me but no she isn't. This is pointless. Staying another night alone without her is pointless. I was so close to getting her, so close to taming her wildness.

I shouldn't have mentioned her surname. I should have kept my mouth shut to finalize the deal first. One single question ruined everything and I'm back to square one, my parents will be disappointed in me if they hear about this but again they're about to learn about it.

They can't hate me because I'm doing it for the girl I love. The woman after my heart and I'll do it again if given another chance. If only she knew how much I love her. She's the one I want to spend my life with. She's my future. We all know there's no future without the present. So, I have to act but first I need to go solo. Leon is not someone I'll like to mess with, what went wrong I don't know cos I have been careful. Me, thinking a few photos can riden him up must have been my greatest mistake. I underestimated him.

Leonard will be looking for me but he won't find me because I'm ready to run, taking my phone from the car seat, I tossed it out of the car and then checked for GPS but there was none.

Old cars. Just nice.

After disposing of my gadgets, I step harder on the brake pedal at high speed. He's going to look but he won't find me. I won't rest until she's mine. He doesn't deserve her.

No one does. No one
