Run, hide or fight?

[Intro]

In the fullness of time, the school just finished and Q was preparing to make his own way home. There is a popular café located just outside his school that serves half-price discounted coffee to those who are considered as students. He wanted to try them since he's a coffee lover so he went to the café alone. It all goes as planned until one of The Posse's members is currently dining in the café without Q's noticing it. After Q made his purchase, he quickly went out of the café to make his proper way home. He wanted to change his route home intentionally due to a conversation that he overheard in the café just now.

[The Conversation]

"Eh Rama. Did you know that the route to The Lake has been closed due to some leakage of a water pipe this morning? I just remembered Mr. Lim said that in class today.", said one of the customers there.

"Oh I don't. Might use a different way today. My parents aren't here to pick me up as usual so I need to hurry jog back after this. By the way, thanks ya Sam for the info!", responded to the other customer in the café.

Since Q's house is near The Lake, he should have taken a different route home too but at the same time he also made a mistake. He didn't know that he's actually in a massive risk to himself if he did that.

[Q is half on his way home when ... ]

All at once, a group of The Posse make an approach towards Q in a small quiet off-road street beside a small forest. Q is terrified until his heart misses a beat.

"Oh shoot! They are FREAKING here!", said Q nervously.

Fortunately, Q is quick-witted that he managed to flee the situation. Running is the first thing that pops out of his mind.

[Q sprinted until he's out of breath]

It was not so quick that The Posse could spot him running and make their way near Q again. Q considered hiding but he acknowledged that there is no place to hide.

Q makes his last resort to fight them. This action made him shilly-shally to actually do it because his skill of martial art has already been considered tarnished (Because he took his last martial art class when he was 10). He really hoped that there will be some kind of miracle that is going to aid him in this kind of situation.

"I shouldn't take a different route today. Oh God ... hel .. help me please ...", says Q silently.

Out of a sudden, a red and blue flashing light shone at the scene.

(A short siren is slightly wailed after)

The Posse's members make their way off because Pyry is not there to help them get away with it.

"Who's that?!", shouted Q towards the car with the flashing light.

Since the sun has already disappeared, the situation seems to take place at nighttime. Q sees two shadows that one of them looked like his father while another is unrecognisable since his vision is too blurry due to the panic attack he had. He then felt relaxed because one of his assumptions is true. His father looked at Q with a stern face and told him to get in the Ranger's patrol car.

"Get in now! Don't worry, I'll clean it up. There's water in there, take one and drink. It'll help, ... I ... think so. Ahh, whatever.", said Sylan (Q's father) spontaneously.

[After the cleaning up]

Sylan drove the car back to his base sub quarters and clocked out from his duty. They went straight home after that.

[After arriving at home]

Q and his dad had a talk that night about the situation. Q told his dad that it was nothing but his dad wanted to know what really happened so he took a small step approach.

[That night's conversation]

"Q! Can you come here for a sec?", said Sylan loudly.

"Yeah. On my way!", replied Q while making his way downstairs to meet his dad.

"I wanted to ask about what just happened. Who are they? And why are they hanging out with you late at night? They seemed like a bad one to hang out with.", asked Sylan.

"No one. They are just doing their thing and I'm just on my way home. I swear I don't know them. I'm the only one who is at the wrong place and at the wrong time. I know it's late 'cause I had a group project with my friends that evening.", replied Quashawn.

"You know that I'm here for you right? I know I'm not like your mother but hey, I'm all ears. Make sure to tell me everything after this.", said Sylan.

[Q wanted to get out of this awkward situation so he asked about his mother since his father mentioned her]

"Okay dad. By the way, when will Mom get home? Last time I talked to her, she said that she will be home this week.", Q curiously asked Sylan.

"She'll be here in another week, she called me this morning and said that she had something up at the Centre. It almost felt like she is the only one that's capable of doing something useful there. I don't even know why she works part-time there.", replied Sylan.

[Q nod and make himself up to his room after he said his goodnight to his dad]

Q did his night routine while wondering who is the person (or something) behind his dad at the scene. He then makes his way to his bed and lays down on it. The wandering continued until he fell asleep.
