The Sun as up soon the next day but not for Samaira. She kept thinking about those last words from Varun 'I do know how you think' and soon the alarm bell rang. She somehow managed to get herself ready for the school. She entered the van and found Varun chatting with Sumeet and Marmik.
"So how was the competition bro?" asked Marmik.
"It went pretty well, some mistakes in the play but we still managed to win the first prize." Replied Varun with a smile on his face. He was very happy at the moment 'Another win for me' he thought deep inside. Samaira was lost in her own thoughts 'What did he meant by that?"
"Samaira....." those words brought her back to the real world. "So... you in or not"
"I.....In what?" she asked fumbling with her words.
"Atlas. I bet a Dairy Milk on this one." Said Varun.
"Ohoo! Aisa kya?" (oh really!!) she said in her trademark way. "Well loser you got yourself a deal."
And the game began the next thirty minutes or so in the Van, names of cities, states, countries and continent being called. Van uncle was fed up of this. Every day the same old game being played.
"Hungry..... Y" Now that was the finisher move for Samaira in the game. Varun was ready for this, he knew that was going to happen. With a mischievous smile on his face said "Yorkshire". Samaira was a bit surprised at that. She didn't know what to do "There is no such place like that."
"Then why don't you Google it genius."
"That's gonna be the first thing to do when I get home."
"For now let's continue, shall we?"
And the game went on-and-on Sumeet and Marmik were watching the game lieka at tennis match between pros. Varun was in position to deliver his final blow to Samaira.
"its 'T'...... your turn"
"Hmm.....T.....T.... oh I know! Turke.........Y" And Samaira was knocked out. The counting began, ' 1......2......3...' Samaira was struggling to find and answer to that question. '8......9......' It was the time when..... when Varun was to be declared winner. '...10...' "Yeah I won!! Whoo hoo"
Thus the school arrived, they got out crossed the road. Varun went to the classroom, took the place behind Neha and joined the assembly. Soon it was over and Varun realised that he shouldn't have behaved like that to her but was not sure what to do.
Zero period begun, Varun was busy in his own thoughts 'in what way should I say that to her?'
"Varun Sharma!" Teacher called out his name. "Present mam!" he replied.
"What happened?" Asked Neha.
Varun explained everything to her while Neha listened very carefully. "What's the big deal in this? You won and celebrated, you've got nothing to worry about."
"That's true but she never did the same to me, not even once. So I'm feeling kinda bad."
Neha gave a few tips on how to apologies to her. First period was over and soon the second and the third one. It was time for recess. Samira usually hung out with Sakshi her best friend. He went to her class room and walked towards Samaira. She noticed it but didn't give any attention to it.
"Samaira... Listen I'm sorry about the way I behaved, so I hope you forgive me?"
"Hmm..." came the reply from her with no eye contact no expression not even a single bloody movement in her body. That 'hmm' confused Varun to a great extent. Was she complimenting the food or accepting my apology? Was it the weather or the mango pickle in her tiffin?
"So...... should I take it as a yes?"
"Hmm..."
"Thank god...." Murmured Varun and went back to eating his own lunch.
As soon as he left the place Sakshi leaned towards Samaira and asked "Kya hua be?" ( What happened?)
"Oh nothing really...." And she explained the whole scenario to her.
Back at Varun's class Neha was waiting for him. 2 minutes passed no sign of him, 3 minutes and 10 minutes. Finally he was there. "So how did it go?" she asked.
"Pretty well, it was really nothing for her."
Varun and Neha went to their usual spot for their chit-chat.
"You've been spending a lot of time with Samaira these days."
"Ah! Jealousy...."
"Shut up! You know what I mean."
"Oh come on Neha, you know she is my best friend. We just talk a little bit and too due to the play and all that."
"Fair enough."
"You're okay with that right?"
Now what Neha was really thinking was 'NO I'M NOT OKAY. WHY DON'T YOU JUST MARRY HER NOW? I'LL MAKE THE PREPARATION FOR YOUR WEDDING RIGHT NOW! JUST STOP TALKING TO HER YOU IDIOT!!'
But what she said "Ahh! It's not a big deal." Neha knew that it was high time for her to step up and so she waited for the day to be over. As Samaira was a prefect at the school she had to make sure that all the classes were empty on the floor. Neha stayed back, Samaira opened the door and found Neha packing her bag. Fact – Neha and Samaira don't really get along really well.
"Neha pack your bags fast its time." Said Samaira.
"Yeah just a minute. Would you mind helping me a bit?"
Samaira went in helping her. Ten seconds later it was over Samaira was going to open the door when Neha called her.
"Listen Samaira, you know me and Varun are in a relationship right? So would you mind satying away from him a bit?"
"You know that I don't really have crush on him?"
"I hope so but just for consent please stay away from him." and by saying these words Neha was about to leave.
"Neha.... The whole school knows the truth but him. What you are doing to him is wrong. That poor soul doesn't even know the real side of you."
"You don't really know what I am Samaira so stop giving me any kind of advice. It's true love okay? From both the sides."
"Is that so... We all know what your TYPE is okay? He's not that guy."
"Oh you'll see that in future!"
"You bet."
