"Wait, you are..."

Huh?

The second when she turned around, she had a poker face on. But after taking a glimpse at me, she looked very shook.

"BRING HIM OVER HERE NOW!" she shouted fearfully.

The man frowned for a moment and then picked me up like luggage and moved me to another chair she head prepared while he was moving me.

"Hey what's going on?" I asked in confusion.

This woman, Miss. Amberhide, treated my wounds in an instant, without responding to my words and not even leaving a mark behind. I felt really refreshed after the process was over.

"That should do it. How are you feeling?"

"I'm feeling really well. Thank you very much."

She reacted with a warm smile.

The man look pretty surprised at what had just occurred.

Her healing is truly outstanding. Was she in the crowd when I awoke? I didn't see her anywhere. To be honest, the moment I saw her I had a feeling that she's not your normal human. I don't know what that feeing was. It was similar to sensing the difference in life forms seen in fantasy stories. Anyways, I need to head back now. I should spend my time gathering information about my and Silvia's abilities and figuring out a way to survive the second stage. Plus, I have yet to pick a side between the newly formed factions.

"Hm? Is something wrong?"

"No, its nothing. Your healing is amazing, Miss. Amberhide."

She's just, really abnormal... her light green eyes and hair are out of the world I was born into.

"Well that won't do. Just call me Eowyn. That is my name." she said to me, smiling.

"Okay then. Again, thanks for the save Eowyn."

Her name sounds somewhat abnormal as well. Maybe she's...

"Well, now that that's out of the way, I wish to have a little chat with you, if possible."

Huh? What the hell does she want? Wait, this whole situation is pretty suspicious in itself. Her attitude seems the total opposite of what the man described. Beside that, this is kind of deep but her whole existence is... how can I say it, 'strange' to me.

With the same smiling expression she turned and faced the man.

"Can you leave? I have business with this young man." she said angrily, with an annoyed tone.

Without a bit of hesitation, he went straight down the stairs and out of the door. She was watching him in the meantime.

"Alright, now that he's gone, let's talk. This is an important matter. For me and for you." She said as she sat on the chair she was previously sitting on.

My curiosity was piqued. I didn't know what the hell was going on and what she wanted from me.

"So answer me this one question Leon Walker. What is life?"

I was quite shocked at what I heard. What does she mean by "what is life?". Does she know something that I don't?

"What do you mean?"

"Just what I said. I am simply asking you what a 'life' means in your perspective."

I was utterly disappointed. This turned out to be a waste of time. I should just share my own idea and get done with this farce. Other important matters await me.

"Well, in my opinion a life is a choice. Compared to the choices you make, you craft your own life."

"I expected you to say that."

Is she trying to play smart now?

"Haaaa..." I sighed.

I owe her for healing me so the least I can do is to play along with her for now.

"How did you know?"

"Because it was 'fated' for you to answer like that."

"So your telling me you can see any ones fate? is that your special ability?"

"No, not really. It only applies to you in fact."

"What do you mean by only to me?"

"That, I currently can't answer. My apologies."

"..."

What is even the point of this conversation? Does she want to distract me from something or maybe she just enjoys messing with someone.

"Um, Eowyn_"

"Now, back to my original question. Though you did give a somewhat valid answer, I have a better one for you."

"Okay? what is it?" I ask with confusion.

"Life for all beings in this world is what you see and how you act."

"Well, that is one perspective I guess."

"No, you are misleading what I said. You are life itself."

"Excuse me?"

"Listen Leon Walker. Let me make something clear for once and for all, no being in this world can cheat death."

"What the hell do you mean?! why are you telling me this! what is the point?"

"Don't get carried away. You will know everything bit by bit. If we move too fast, "they" might appear..."

Is this all a joke? She just mentioned that I am life itself... what can she mean by that? JUST WHAT THE HELL IS HER GOAL? I'm fed up with this, I need to RUN away qu_

"YOU ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE." She said as an object with abnormal speed passed my face, scraping my cheek in the process.

"Ha...ah..."

"Haaa... sorry. It seems like I have gotten a little bit carried away."

"..."

"Oh come on, don't look at me like that. You will break my heart."

"..."

"Well then, back to our topic. I'll make this quick since they can interfere at any moment they find their way to this realm, so listen. This is the only time I will be able to say this."

"Ah...ah..."

"LEON!"

"Ah, huh?"

I was in such a shock that I couldn't respond to anything around me but her calling out my name seemed to have brought me back.

"Do not rely on that ability... the more you do, the more 'they' have a chance to reach this world."

"Wh-what the hell do you mean? I-"

Suddenly, the entire premises started to shake.

"Well, I finally said it, lord..."

"What the hell is going on?!"

She then faces me again, with tears starting to fall down from her eyes.

"Everything is in your hands now..."

As she said those words, my reality began to fade.

"Please..."

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH"

"Save...this realm."
