Chapter 32

[3rd POV] [?????]

"...Join your team?" Raven questioned, her eyebrows furrowing slightly.

"Young Justice is what I call it. It's not really "my team" per se, but I am technically a part of it. It's a sort of shadow team for the Justice League, and has some of the protege's of main League members" Gwen answered with a smile, causing Raven to go silent in contemplation.

"...I'll think about it" Raven answered with a soft sigh. The idea was interesting, but she wasn't sure the team would accept someone like her. Gwen seemed to see what she was thinking, and spoke.

"They won't judge you, you know. The team already has a clone, a martian, a speedster, a atlantean, and more, it's safe to say the team is already pretty weird and unique as it is" Gwen said softly.

"But are any of them the daughter of a demonic entity that slaughters entire worlds?" Raven asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Uh...well, no. But we've all got some...things we don't like talking about, and the team is nice enough to not ask too many questions. And Raven, that's your father, not you. The team won't care about the actions of your father, because you are a good person, more so than a lot of people" Gwen responded, a sigh escaping her lips at the question.

"...And what about the League? They barely know me" Raven asked, knowing that someone like Batman would not let her on the team, not without knowing more about her and her powers.

"I can deal with them Raven. Trust me, if you want to join the team, you're more than welcome too. I for one, would love another magic user to join us" Gwen said with a warm smile. 

"...If they say yes, then I'll join" Raven said after thinking for a few moments. Gwen's smile widened at the news.

"Be prepared to join then!" Gwen said with a grin. Raven rolled her eyes and followed after Gwen, as the two began to make their way back to the nearby Zeta-tube.

Hours had passed since the killing of brother blood, and the destruction of the Church of Blood.

The duo had ended up making it back to the Watchtower, and after a lot of Gwen arguing with her father, Raven was accepted into the Young Justice.

Batman was...cautious of the barely known teen, but after a lot of arguing with Gwen, he had agreed to allow her into the team. Only because of Gwen vouching for the girl, and swearing she would be a good addition.

The rest of the League were a lot more willing to accept her into the Young Justice, mainly because they trusted Gwen's judgement after the few missions she had done with them.

Currently, Gwen, Raven, and Bruce were teleporting back into Mount Justice.

Walking out of the zeta-tube, the trio were met with the entire team.

"Gwen, you're finally back!" M'gann said happily, flying over and instantly locking lips with Gwen. Gwen blinked in slight surprise, before inwardly shrugging and reciprocating.

After a few moments, they broke out of the kiss. "Where were you?" M'gann softly asked.

"A mission, a pretty important one" Gwen responded into her ear.

"Does it involve the girl over there?" M'gann asked, glancing at Raven, who the rest of the team were also looking at.

"Partially" Gwen said with a small smile, looking to her father, who nodded.

"Team, this is Raven. She will be joining you starting from now on" Batman said, addressing the team.

The team in question blinked in surprise, not expecting a new addition so soon, and so randomly.

"What? When? How? Why?" Wally questioned stupidly.

"Raven will be joining your team. Because Gwen vouched for her, and because Raven has proven to the League that she can be a good addition to your team. You don't have a choice in this matter, so I do hope you'll welcome her" Bruce said bluntly.

"Raven, your room is on the right of M'gann's. She'll show you where" Bruce said, causing Gwen to raise an eyebrow. That meant that Raven was in between her and M'gann's rooms.

"So we don't get a choice in this matter? What did she even do to get the right to joining?" Wally questioned.

"She helped save the world from an other dimensional demonic entity that would have killed us all" Bruce said bluntly.

"...Oh...I guess it's deserved then" Wally said with defeated expression. The rest of the team was shocked, before looking to Gwen, who nodded in agreeance.

"It's nice to have you on the team, Raven! I'm M'gann, this is Artemis. The red head is Wally, that's Robin, the one with the cool tattoos is Kaldur, and the guy with the S is superboy" M'gann said with a smile, floating to Raven and giving her a hug. Raven cringed in dislike, not liking physical contact like that.

"..It's nice to meet you" Raven said softly, looking to each of the team members.

"Does this mean we have three people that use magic now?" Dick asked, Kaldur and Gwen both used magic, Kaldur more on a technicality.

"How do you know she uses magic?" Gwen asked with a raised eyebrow.

"She looks like she would. She's got the "occult" vibes to her" Dick said with a shrug, using air quotations at the word "occult".

"Fair" Gwen said with a chuckle, as Raven did have those sort of vibes to her.

"Now, get to your rooms, it's late" Bruce said, as it was in fact 1 in the morning. Looking to Gwen, he gave her a single nod.

"See you later dad!" Gwen said with a smile, causing Bruce to crack a small smile as he zeta-tubed out.

"Well, it's nice to have you, Raven" Kaldur said with a smile, moving forward to shake her hand.

The rest of the team soon greeted the new girl, before most of them began to leave, as it was really late, and most of them would get...quite the scolding if the stayed any longer.

Walking through the halls, Gwen watched in amusement as M'gann cheerfully showed off the Mountain to Raven, who was deadpanning through it all, obviously uncomfortable, which was quite funny in Gwen's eyes.

After the Raven retired to her room, Gwen and M'gann were left alone.

"How'd the mission go?" Gwen asked, looking to M'gann.

"Good! Superboy got a new pet and everything" M'gann replied with a smile, remembering Wolf, Superboy's pet.

"Good for him" Gwen said genuinely, knowing the teen probably needed it.

"U-um...can I sleep in your room?" M'gann asked, nervously looking to the floor, expecting a denial.

"Love, if you want to, you're more than welcome to" Gwen said with a small smile, stroking her girlfriends cheek softly.

M'gann's face brightened in happiness, and nodded.

The two were soon cuddled up in Gwen's bed, M'gann snuggling into Gwen's neck, softly snoring as she enjoyed the warmth of her girlfriend.

Gwen was watching her with a chuckle 'God she's cute' Gwen thought with a coo, looking at her girlfriend.

'System, go ahead and use those SL tickets' Gwen thought, deciding to get this out of the way now.

Jessica Drew | Spiderwoman Earth 616

Jessica Drew, aka Spiderwoman. Yet another Spider-totem of the Marvel universe, with all the usual powers of a Spider-totem, as well as 7 tons of strength. She also has the ability to use venom blasts, self-propelled glide, and pheromone secretion, that can be used to generate certain pheremones that can create fear, elicit attraction and/or repulsion, and more. Also includes her masterful knowledge in martial arts, skills in investigation, and all other helpful/important knowledge.

Severus Snape | Harry Potter Universe

Severus Snape, aka the potions professor at Hogwarts, and Death Eater/spy. The man is an incredibly skilled potionsmaster, dueler, and the dark arts. He is one of the most powerful wizards in the entirety of Harry Potter, and was immensely skilled. His magical power was quite impressive, and was roughly on par with McGonagall. Includes all his impressive knowledge, the helpful and useful ones at least. Also includes his magical power.

Shego | Kim Possible Universe

Shego, also known as Miss Go and several other names. A member of team go, has worked with Dr. Drakken, and several others. She has the power of energy projection, allowing her to manipulate and generate bright green energy with her hands. This energy has a variety of uses, including melting things she touches with it, firing bolts of energy that can stun others, launching powerful energy balls that is as strong as a grenade at the least, as well as several other uses, including strengthening her natural strength with this energy. Also includes her durability, knowledge in a wide range of things, as long as it is useful/important. Her energy is partially connected to life energy and similar things, thus, the hosts energy might be stronger.

Frank Castle | Punisher Earth 616

Frank Castle, aka Punisher. Ex marine, immensely skilled fighter, and certified badass. He does not have any powers, but is incredibly skilled in numerous areas involving combat. Includes all his knowledge in combat, weapons, piloting, martial arts, interrogation, tactician, his indomitable will, special operations training, and all other helpful/useful/important knowledge.

Luke Cage | Power Man Earth 616

Luke Cage, aka Power Man. A powerful man with immense strength at roughly 25 tons, if not higher, as well as immense stamina. The most notable part of Luke Cage that came from the Burstein Process, was his Nigh-Invulnerability. This invulnerability that is at least as strong as titanium steel, allowing him to withstand 150 tons of TNT, fires, handguns shooting at him, electricity, and more, even from beings stronger than him, his skin can only truly be pierced by someone much stronger, by adamantium, or by a highly powerful laser. He also has a slightly better healing factor. Also includes his knowledge in combat, and other helpful/important/useful knowledge.

'...Damn' Gwen thought surprised at the rewards she got this time. Pretty much all of them were good or helpful, in one way or another. Her personal favorites was Luke Cage and Snape, each of them having real use to her. Shego was also really good, the energy manipulation had a lot of use to her.

'Assimilate them' Gwen thought, the second she did, power and knowledge flooded her.

The sensation of magic flooding her was more powerful than anything, with Luke Cage's invulnerability being more noticeable.

The sensation didn't last long, her body long since used to the assimilation process. The knowledge wasn't really all that helpful, besides Snape's. Snape's knowledge was full of neat little additions, including new spells, potions, runes, and many many more.

The spells should be usable for her, having his magic AND Doctor Fate's. Her magic is far stronger, so the Harry Potter magic should also naturally be much stronger too.

As the assimilation finally finished, Gwen leaned back into her pillow with a sigh. The new nigh-invulnerability was arguably the most important thing so far. That combined with Reed Richards stretching and her regeneration, makes her VERY hard to harm. And even if she was harmed, she would just regenerate pretty much instantly.

Seeing as her assimilation finished, Gwen let out a small yawn. Moving around slightly, she softly wrapped her arms around M'gann and slowly began to close her eyes.

Gwen slowly joined M'gann in the warm embrace of Morpheus, as the dream took over.
