CHAPTER 68: Reunion.

The two of them spend roughly an hour looking through the pages of the book.

Them comparing the different images of wings and feathers went rather smoothly since Mirana had already organized her notes on what she remembered Sirin's wings to look like. Yet, though some types of feathers or wing structures came close, none were an exact match.

Eventually Sirin sighed as he was growing tired of looking at the pictures and descriptions in Mirana´s notes.

"Do you have some notes on angels?" He asked.

"Yes" Mirana stammered. "But you're a demon, right?"

"If not, I don't think I could have survived in hell as long as I did. However, I've been compared to an angel more often than I'd like. It can't hurt to simply check."

Swiftly Mirana flipped the pages until she found the section of her notes on the wings of angels. It was by far not complete, with many of the angels missing, but it didn't need to be given that Sirin had already found a match with his own feathers.

This particular type of angel was a Principalities a low rank angel that guides and protects nations, or groups of people.

Sirin furrowed his brow whilst trying to maintain his cool. He knew that after his failed attempt of trying to get more information out of the red god directly he had to find it on his own and that instead of ripping the Band-Aid of in one go he should get used to these small things coming one at a time.

"Are you all right? You look even paler than usual."

Sirin took a deep breath and playfully shrugged once he managed to collect himself. "Well, I mean it's kind of disappointing, I've seen an angel, they're weird as hell. But I've already known from when I saw it's wings it is just more difficult to deny now that I found an exact match."

"Oh, I'm sorry." Mirana muttered.

"Nah don't be." The pale demon responded. "It was about time that I stopped being a little bitch about it. Afterall I won't be finding any answers if I keep being in denial."

Suddenly the door flung open with a loud bang. "Mirana, is everything all right? Who are you talking to?" Jan who was now a fair bit taller and more muscular than when Sirin last saw him marched in.

A wide grin grew on the demon's face as he dashed towards the human. "Greetings and salutations human. I haven't seen you in a while. Did you miss me?"

Horrified the man looked at the creature whilst trying to push it away by instinct.

However, Sirin remained unmoved by his pathetic efforts.

"Mirana! What did you do? Why is it back?"

Only, Mirana did not respond and waited in silence with a thin smile on her face.

Sirin took a step back on his own to give the man some space. "You seem to have some faith in your soon to be wife! I'll let you know that she did nothing to invite me here, some god sneezed me out of his void realm and I ended up back here."

"You're lying, you must have tricked her into releasing something like you back upon this world."

Sirin softly giggled. "If that's what you believe, who am I to shatter your world view."

The demon leaned forward again so he could face Jan eye to eye while his claws lifted the Human's face up. "But no matter how I got here, I still have a proposal for the both of you."

He let the human slip out of his grasp and turned to look at Mirana. "Come with me, I am building something like my own kingdom in one of the living worlds. You can be a part of it. I can give the both of you a position in which you can rule over some demons that I will let into that world."

Mirana looked away in sadness. "Sorry but I can't, as much as I looked up to you and still do. I can not leave this place. I have a life here; I'll soon have a family. I can't leave that all behind."

Sirin sighed. "Such a shame. You two are some of my dearest mortals and I would have loved you to be a part of my project. I'm afraid that with this our lovely reunion must come to an end." The demon said as he took on his shade form and slipped into the shadows. "I might see the both of you in hell someday."

Ather that he left the building. He had not much to gain here since his old friends didn't want to come with him and his own blood was useless to him so there was no need of getting it back either.

However, there was still one thing he could get from the small bunker, souls. And he refused to leave emptyhanded.
