Episode 5 - The Darkness and The Light

On Earth two 8 months ago, Harrison Wells was giving a conference. "Hello. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Harrison Wells." He introduces himself. And everyone applauds. "Today, the future has arrived. Our city has seen incredible... impossible things: meta-humans... men and women... with extraordinary abilities: the ability to soar above buildings, to run faster than the speed of light. Unfortunately, most of these meta-humans have chosen the wrong path with these powers, a dark path. My team and I at S.T.A.R. Labs are committed to keeping up with these perilous times, and so may I present to you our new line of meta-human awareness apps?" He points to the screen, showing everyone, watches with the app, everyone applauds, including a girl in a rose covered dress. "This technology will allow you to instantly detect the presence of a metahuman. You'll be instantly alerted to an approaching speedster, like Zoom or like…" Suddenly his watch starts beeping as Ja arrives and everyone cheers when they see him. "Flash." Harrison does a slow clap. "Welcome, Flash."

"Tell them the truth, Dr. Wells. Everything that has happened to this city the past two years is because of you. You created all of us metas. You created Zoom." Jay explains and everyone gasps in shock.

"I created Zoom?" Harrison wonders.

"11 hours before the first meta sighting, enormous blasts of dark matter radiation were silently expelled beneath this lab." Jay tells them.

"I'm sorry, Flash, I believe all this fast running may have scrambled your brain." Harrison lies.

"You take no responsibility for the wreckage your mistakes have caused. Admit it, Wells, and then maybe you can truly help me do something about it." Jay replies.

"Help you, because I'm the greatest tech entrepreneur of all time? You're the superhero, and we would all be safe if you would just do your job and stop Zoom." Harrison admits. Jay glares at Harrison before super speeding away and Harrison's watch stops beeping. "Well, I guess it's safe to say the speedster sensors work." And the crowd laughed.

The girl in the rose covered dress goes over to Harrison. "You okay, Dad?" She wondered.

"I'm fine, sweetie." Harrison smiles as he walks back over to the people. "Now where was I? Oh, that's right, the future."

Back in the present and on Earth 1, everyone was standing in the Cortez looking at Harrison Wells who was looking at his book. "Very strange to be holding your autobiography, especially when you didn't write it and it's not about you." Harrison admits.

"Dr. Caitlin Snow, Cisco Ramon, meet Dr. Harrison Wells from Earth-2." Atchaco introduced him.

"Hi." Cisco greeted him.

"Hi." Harrison returned.

"So let me get this straight. You're the doppelganger of the man who murdered his mom and is responsible for both Ronnie and Eddie's deaths?" Cisco said.

"Yeah, but he's not even the doppelganger of the Dr. Wells that we knew because that Dr. Wells' body had been taken over by the Reverse Flash, who was really Eobard Thawne and Eddie's distant relative from the future." Caitlin explains.

"Yeah, I didn't follow any of that. I'm my own man. I had nothing to do with the murder of your mother or your friend Ricky." Harrison reassures him.

"His name was Ronnie." Caitlin corrects him.

"Him either." Harrison replies.

"You told us you have proof of your identity?" Barry reminds him.

"This almost hit me when I went through the portal." Harrison said, taking out the tablet that Stein had thrown into the breach. "Your stabilised breach downstairs connects directly to the S.T.A.R. Labs on my Earth."

"Technically, this could be mine, but I want to run some tests on you." Caitlin told him.

"I'll be genetically indistinguishable from my Earth-1 counterpart. Your tests will reveal nothing." Harrison informs her.

"Great! Still gonna run 'em." Caitlin smiled.

"Be my guest." Harrison replied.

"Why are we even listening to him? How do we know he's not evil like the other guy?" Cisco whispered.

"He saved Barry's life last night. The question is why." Atchaco said.

"I'm guessing you didn't travel between dimensions just to meet The Flash and Thunder." Barry told him.

"That's exactly what I did. I came here to help both of you, Barry, to stop your greatest enemy." Harrison informs him.

"He already did that." Cisco said.

"I'm not talking about Reverse Flash. I'm talking about Zoom. I see you've already heard of him." Harrison explains.

"Yeah, Zoom has been sending meta-humans from your world through the breaches to fight Barry." Atchaco said.

"Well, they're the symptoms. Zoom's the plague, one that's infected my world, and now he's coming for yours." Harrison informs them.

"What do you know about Zoom?" Barry asked.

"Everything. I created Zoom. I'm responsible for all the Earth-2 meta-humans, a fact I've ignored for far too long, but now I'm doing something about it." Harrison tells them.

"Yeah, well, we're batting a thousand against these breachers." Cisco said.

"You're batting a thousand, Crisco? What's your sample size? Ten? Less? Zoom is obsessed with speed. He will never allow there to be another speedster in the multiverse, and he's gonna keep sending these metas here, one after the next, all with the same goal: to kill The Flash and Thunder unless we stop him together." Harrison replies.

"Last time we listened to a guy with your face, some bad things went down." Cisco admits.

"We lost people we cared about." Caitlin reminds him.

"Everyone loses someone they care about, Snow. The real test of character is what you do once they're gone." Harrison tells her.

Joe then walks into the Cortex and sees Wells, he quickly takes out his gun and starts firing at Harrison but Barry catches the bullets. "Joe! Put the gun down!" Atchaco ordered as she and Barry held Joe back.

"How is he still alive? How are you still alive?" Joe asked.

"I don't know, because you missed?" Harrison chuckles.

"Hey, I'm trying to keep him from shooting you. You're not helping." Barry replies.

"Let's take a walk, all right?" Atchaco suggested.

"It's all good." Barry reassures him and then he and Atchaco take Joe into the hallway.

"We know someone who can verify everything that this guy just said. Be careful." Caitlin said as she walks out of the Cortex.

"I don't suppose you have a Big Belly Burger in this universe, do you?" Harrison asked.

"This isn't happening." Cisco sighed.

Meanwhile, Joe, Barry and Atchaco were in the hallway. "I know that this is a lot to take in, but that guy back in that room, that's not Wells." Barry said.

"Dr. McGee swore she saw Wells. He broke into Mercury Labs." Joe informs them.

"What? Why didn't you tell me this?" Atchaco questioned.

"Because I didn't believe her. I didn't even want to consider Wells was alive." Joe admits.

"Eddie erased that Wells from existence." Barry reminds him.

"This guy is... he's someone else, and he says he's here to help us stop Zoom." Atchaco continues.

"How can you two even look at him?" Joe wonders.

"You think this is easy for me? The guy in there looks, moves, sounds exactly like the guy that drove a knife through my mother's heart. I have to resist the urge to kill him. I'm trying my best to get past that, okay? You shooting him... that's not helping." Barry replied.

"He is right." Atchaco agreed.

"After all our losses, I thought at least we were free of Wells. I just want one week where we're not surprised by somebody from our past. I better go fill in Iris." Joe said as he walked away.

"Good luck." Barry replied.

Later at Central City Picture News, Iris was working at her desk when Linda walks past and gets stopped by their boss. "I hope you're happy, Linda. Tanner's lawyers are threatening to sue us." He informs Linda.

"I'm sorry, Chief." Linda apologised. "I don't care how many touchdowns Tanner throws. I'm not interviewing some roided out jerk who hit his wife unless it's to hold him accountable for domestic violence."

"All right, run your story, Park. The sports page used to be a lot less complicated." He sighed as he walked away.

"She shoots." Iris imitates a swish. "She scores."

"It's just, every once in a while, you have to remind him it's the 21st century." Linda replies and they both laugh. Linda walks away just as Joe walks in. Joe motions to her to come and take a walk with him and Iris nods.

Later, the two of them were walking down the street and Joe had just told Iris about Wells.

"But that's not really him, the Wells who Eddie gave his life to stop?" Iris asked.

"Apparently not." Joe answered.

"That's life in Central City these days, right?" Iris sighs.

"You sure?" Joe wonders.

"Dad, I'm fine, really." Iris reassured him.

"Good." Joe said, taking out his spare gun. "I want to keep you that way."

"Dad." Iris replied.

"Take it." Joe told her. "I taught you how to use it for a reason. And I'm praying that Barry's right and this Wells means us no harm. Last year, you had Eddie to look out for you, but now, you can't murder somebody that everybody thinks is dead, right?" Joe gives her a kiss on the head. "Put it away." Joe then turns and walks away.

Later, Atchaco, Barry and Cisco were at Jitters. "You do realise that when I said I wanted a drink, I didn't mean a latte, right? I was talking about alcohol. Like, mind-numbing alcohol." Cisco admitted.

"All right, look, you got give him a chance, okay?" Atchaco said.

"Yeah." Barry agreed. "He's not a speedster. He's just a regular, normal guy from another universe."

"I never thought I'd miss time travel." Cisco replied.

"Time travel, huh?" Patty repeated, walking behind them.

"Hey!" Barry greeted her.

"Hi!" Patty returns. "Is there a metahuman who can time travel?"

"Time... no. Time travel's not real." Atchaco lies.

"'Cause that would be pretty cool!" Patty smiles.

"Not so sure about that." Cisco laughs softly.

"Patty, you know Cisco Ramon, right?" Barry wondered.

"Yeah, you're the scientific advisor on metahumans to the CCPD, right?" Patty said.

"Yeah, that's me." Cisco agreed.

"Nice. Hey, Barr, Maz, did you hear I was right about King Shark?" Patty wondered.

"King Shark? Nice name. I like her." Cisco said.

"Yeah, yeah, King Shark almost ate The Flash." Patty replied.

"Oh, nah, I'm sure The Flash had it handled." Barry told her.

"Oh, no, I was there. I saw it all. Thunder was there too. Then some hooded guy saved his life." Patty recalled.

"Wait, and you're not, like, traumatised or anything?" CIsco asked.

"I just watched a half man-half shark take on the fastest man and woman alive." Patty laughs. "I love this city." Her phone then vibrates and she looks at it. "See... sorry. Oh, uh, Captain just texted me. He wants me to write my police report. I guess I'm gonna have to skip the coffee and go get a head start, I will see you guys later."

"Bye Patty." Atchaco smiles. Patty then waves goodbye and walks out of Jitters.

"She seems nice." Cisco admits. "In other news, since you two are together again. When are you guys going on a date?"

"Well, we have been preoccupied as you know." Barry reminds him. "First a man-shark tried to eat me, and then Dr. Wells the sequel showed up."

"Okay, can we not use the name 'Dr. Wells'? I'm just gonna call him 'Harry.'" Cisco told them.

"Okay. Harry, yeah." Atchaco agreed.

"Listen, there's always gonna be Harrys out there, but you can't let the Harrys of the world get in the way of you two living your lives. You gotta... you gotta be bold." Cisco tells them.

"That's tough talk. When was the last time you asked a girl for her number?" Barry wondered.

"Watch and learn." Cisco said, looking at the new barista.

"We're watching." Atchaco smiles.

"Hi. What can I get you?" Kendra questions.

"Hi, there." Cisco grins.

"Hi... again." Kendra returns.

"Uh…" Cisco mumbles.

"Do you want some coffee?" Kendra asked.

"Yeah, I'll get some coffee. No, uh, no, I don't want coffee. You know what I do want though? I want to ask you this. Do you want to go out with me?" Cisco stutters.

"Oh." Kendra gasps, surprised.

"To... we... I mean, we could go get coffee or we…" Cisco mumbles.

"No." Kendra answers.

"That's a no. That's totally cool. It's cool. Respect." Cisco said. He walks away and when he is a few feet away, Cisco starts getting a vision of Central City Bank. It was being robbed by a metahuman wearing a mask and shooting beams from her hands. Cisco then comes out of it as Barry and Atchaco walk up to him.

"Yo, dude, you good? It's her loss." Barry told him and Cisco breathed deeply.

"Hey, what's up?" Atchaco asked.

"We have another breacher." Cisco informs him.

"What? How do you know?" Barry questioned.

"Central City Bank. You gotta go now!" Cisco tells them.

"All right." Atchaco said. Cisco continues to breathe heavily as Barry and Atchaco take off.

Minutes later, Macanese and Barry zoom all the way to Central City Bank where the breacher had just robbed the place. "You got our attention." Barry told her.

"Flash. Oh Thunder, even better." She said. She then shoots light beams and they dodge it, she then shoots light which knocks the people around her back. Barry and Macanese zoom around as they save the people from hitting the ground but when they look back, the breacher is gone.

Later at STAR Labs, Harry shows everyone the file on the breacher that Barry and Atchaco had met. "Her name is Doctor Light." Harry explains. "Small-time thief on my Earth until exposure to the dark matter from the Particle Accelerator and became a meta-human with the ability to derive power from starlight."

"Oh, very cool." Cisco smiles.

"Stars having a temperature of 5,300 degree kelvin and a blinding luminosity, I would say, 'Not very cool at all.'" Harry replied.

"You know, our Dr. Wells may have been evil, but you're just a dick." Cisc tells him and Atchaco bites her lip as she tries not to laugh.

"Okay, so obviously, Zoom brought her here from your Earth like the others." Barry said.

"Mm-hmm." Harry mumbles, taking a bite from his Big Belly Burger. "Now that we know that, we can use that to gain advantage."

"What do you mean?" Atchaco asked.

"We capture Doctor Light and use her to lure Zoom here." Harry informs them as Caitlin walks in with Jay.

"You are insane! Okay, we are not luring Zoom anywhere!" Jay said angrily.

"Apparently, they know each other, and Jay is not a fan." Caitlin told them.

"Huh." Barry said.

"Well, well, well. Like everyone else, I assumed Earth-2 Flash was dead. Why am I not surprised to find Jay Garrick here, still alive and in hiding a full universe away from Zoom?" Harry replied.

"I'm not in hiding. Zoom nearly killed me and stole my speed before the Singularity pulled me here." Jay corrects him.

"Is that right?" Harry wonders.

"Yeah, that's right." Jay answers.

"Well, whatever the case, in your absence, Zoom has only gotten more powerful, faster. Barry, you have to defeat Zoom now while you still can." Harry informs him.

"No, this isn't the time to be reckless." Jay reminds him. "We don't even know why Zoom sent Doctor Light here. She's a thief, not a killer."

"Zoom can make people do things out of character. Thief or not, she'll kill you." Harry said.

"All right, look, hey, we can decide what to do with Light later. First, we have to find her, okay?" Atchaco replied. Harry slurps his soda and walks away.

Barry sighs and walks over to Cisco. "Hey, how did you know that she was breaking into the bank?" Barry wondered.

"I got an alert on my phone. There is a little ring-a-ding every time, like, there's a robbery at a bank. " Cisco said.

"What?" Atchaco replied.

"But you know what? I think I can get the S.T.A.R. Labs satellite to scan for any irregular solar radiation emissions and we can find Doctor Light's light." Cisco admits.

"Okay, Atchaco and I are gonna also call Joe, see if CCPD has any leads." Barry tells them.

"Why don't we keep them apart until Barry and I get back?" Atchaco said.

"I am sure that won't be a problem." Caitlin answers. Barry and Atchaco walk out of the Cortex as Jay glares at Harry.

Later at CCPD, Barry and Atchaco were walking downstairs when Barry grabs Atchaco's hand. "Are you okay?" Atchaco asked.

"Yeah." Barry told her. "It's just, do you ever feel completely overwhelmed by everything that you have to do in a day and it feels like the one thing that you actually want to do is the thing that gets lost?"

"I'm confused. What?" Atchaco wonders.

"I've been thinking, Cisco is right about this, we have to live our lives. So, would you want to get dinner with me?" Barry asks.

"Really. Even though Dr Light is running amok in the city?" Atchaco replied.

"She will still be there and anyway, we will probably catch her before we go on the date." Barry replied.

"Okay. Yes, of course I would." Atchaco said.

"Great." Barry smiles. "Okay, um, tomorrow. We can grab some dinner."

"Okay." Atchaco grins. "I am looking forward to it."

Later at STAR Labs, Harry was in Cisco's workshop listening to music really loudly as he read Earth 1 Wells's autobiorgraphy. "Hey, Harry. Hey, over here. Hey!" Cisco calls over to music and Harry lowers it. "Come inside. Use my workroom. Use my computer! I don't care!"

"Thanks." Harry said.

"You and Wells prime have very different musical tastes. His were better." Cisco tells him.

"This Harrison Wells and I are very different but similar in some respects. I see he made almost the same mistake I did with the Particle Accelerator." Harry replied.

"He did a lot of terrible things, and none of them were by mistake." Cisco corrects him.

"What did he do to you? I know he caused the Singularity, murdered Barry's mother, blah, blah, blah, blah. What did he do to you? You can barely look me in the eye. Why is that? What did he do to you?" Harry asked.

"He shoved his hand through my chest. He stopped my heart." Cisco answered.

"Ouch, okay, that would do it, but you survived that." Harry noticed.

"Only because Barry erased that timeline." Cisco informs him.

"I see. Barry travelled in time." Harry realised.

"Twice." Cisco corrects.

"Hmm. Here's how it is." Harry said.

"What's the deal?" Cisco questions.

"You don't have to like me. I don't like you, but you have to work with me to stop Zoom and Doctor Light. Can you do that?" Harry wonders.

"I guess we'll see, won't we?" Cisco replied.

"I guess we will. One more thing... you said you were going to re-task the S.T.A.R. Labs satellite?" Harry reminds him.

"To scan for solar emissions, yeah, we're up and running." Cisco informs him.

"I'd like to examine your program. I want to see if it works." Harry told him.

"Don't worry. It'll work." Cisco reassures him, walking out of the room. Harry looked down at his watch, which was lighting up red when he closed it.

Minutes later, Cisco was back in the Cortex. "Harry's starting to get on my nerves." Cisco admits.

"The silent alarm just went off at the Bank of Central City." Caitlin tells them.

"That's gotta be Doctor Light." Barry realised.

"Could be a trap." Cisco said.

"Barry, Atchaco, trust me, Doctor Light is not a killer. You can both talk to her." Jay tells them.

"Okay." Atchaco replied.

Later, Barry and Macanese raced over to Central City bank where Dr Light was breaking into the back of the safe. Once she was in, Barry and Macanese appeared next to money. "Looking for this? I know Zoom sent you here to kill me." Barry said.

"Good news, you don't have to do that." Macanese informed her.

"Not if I can get out of town with that cash." Dr Light said.

"And then what? Zoom's not gonna like that you ditched him, right? Our friends and us can help you." Barry told her.

"Nobody can protect me from Zoom!" Dr Light growls as her hands light up.

"All right, why don't we take it down a lumen, have a normal conversation, all right?" Macanese said. Dr Light stops her hands from glowing as she lowers them down.

"Thank you." Barry replied. Dr Light pushes a button on her mask and it lifts up and she reveals herself to be Linda Park.

"Linda? Linda Park?" Macanese wondered.

"How do you know my name?" Dr Light asked.

"I don't understand." Barry admits.

"This was a mistake." Dr Light replies. She then shoots a bright light on the floor to escape, Macanese's fake eyes were not affected by the light but Barry didn't have the courtesy. Barry then dropped to the floor and was panting as he looked around and Macanese rushed to him.

"Barry, are you okay?" Atchaco questions.

"Barry, Macanese, what's happening?" Caitlin said.

"I can't see. Guys, I can't see." Barry panicked.

The next day at STAR Labs, Atchaco had taken Barry there since he couldn't see. He was in the infirmary and Caitlin was checking his eyes. "I still can't see." Barry complained.

"How long is this gonna last?" Atchaco asked.

"Barry is suffering from solar retinopathy." Caitlin explains, facing Barry. "Your retinas are severely damaged. You're lucky you're not permanently blind."

"But with your rapid regeneration abilities, your sight should return soon." Jay reassures him.

"6.25 hours by my estimation." Harry told him and Jay rolled his eyes.

"All this could have been avoided if you just stopped Light instead of chit chatting with her." Harry tells them.

"She caught them off guard." Jay reminds him.

"Always an excuse with you, right? He's the fastest man and woman alive. How could she possibly do that?" Harry wondered.

"Because Light looks exactly like our friend, Linda Park." Barry informs them.

"That's why Zoom sent her... because he knew you'd hesitate." Harry said.

"That means Zoom had to have known somehow that Linda was your friend." Cisco replied.

"Which is why Barry and Atchaco have to act now, before Zoom sends another double from Barry's life." Harry warns.

"All right, right now, I'm more worried about Linda. When I saw who was under the mask, I said her name. What if Light didn't even realise that she had a doppelganger here until I accidentally told her?" Barry wondered.

"The first thing that Atom Smasher did when he crossed the breach was to kill his doppelganger." Cisco reminds them.

"Yeah, but Light's not like Atom Smasher." Jay tells them.

"We should keep an eye on your Linda." Harry replies.

"All right, I'll go." Barry said, bumping into Caitlin.

"Oh!" Caitlin gasped.

"Sorry." Barry apologised.

"Bro." Cisco said.

"Barry!" Jay called.

"What?" Barry wondered, walking backwards into the door.

"Okay, okay. You can't do anything until your sight returns." He reminds him as he walks Barry to the rail in front of the computers. "No, no, no, come on, here's the little rail here. I'll do it." Jay then walks away.

"I'll go with you!" Caitlin said, following him out, Cortex and Iris walked in.

"Hey, Barry, Atchaco!" Iris greets them.

"Hey." Atchaco returned.

"I came as soon as I heard…" She stops talking when she sees Harry. "You look just like him."

"I'm guessing my counterpart did something to offend her as well?" Harry said.

"Her fiancé died because of him." Cisco explained.

"Oh." Harry replied, walking out of the room.

"Iris, I know it's weird seeing him." Barry told her.

"Yeah, it's just a lot to process lately. Wells, my mother." Iris said.

"How are you doing with that, by the way?" Atchaco asked.

"I mean, now that she's gone, okay." Iris answered.

"Yeah, Iris, um, look…" Barry started to say as he faced the wrong way. Atchaco then helps him out by helping him face Iris. "You know you can talk to us about it."

"Yeah, I know, but really, I'm fine, okay? I should be asking how you're doing." Iris replies.

"Hey, Barry. Maybe we should cancel our date today." Atchaco said.

"Wait, you guys are going on a date?" Iris questioned.

"Yeah, I first date after getting back together." Barry replied.

"That's so great." Iris smiled.

"But we cannot go." Atchaco said.

"Yes we can." Barry told her.

"You sure?" Atchaco wondered.

"Yeah." Barry answered.

"Okay." Atchaco sighed. "I will see you later at the restaurant." Atchaco then gives him a quick kiss before walking out the Cortex.

"Iris, what am I gonna do? I'm blind, Iris. A literal blind date. It's not gonna work." Barry complained.

"Hey, we are in S.T.A.R. Labs. Come on, there's gotta be something here that can help you get through the night." Iris reassured him.

"Yeah." Barry nodded.

"Or someone." Iris said, looking over at Cisco.

"Cisco, hey!" Barry smiles, walking over to Cisco, or to the right of where he was sitting.

"To your left. Other left." Iris said.

"Cisco." Barry repeated as he turned back and Cisco sat with a grin on her face, looking at him.

Later at the restaurant, Atchaco was waiting for Barry in a pale purple dress with gold coloured rims. Barry then walks in wearing sunglasses. He bumped into a waiter as Cisco was watching through the sunglasses. "Okay. She's two steps in front of you." Cisco directs him and Barry walks towards the table as Atchaco walks up to him.

"Nice glasses." Atchaco comments.

"Hey, hey!" Barry said as he bumped into the chair.

"Touchdown." Cisco smiles.

"I'm so sorry I'm late." Barry apologised.

"No, don't be. How is your vision?" Atchaco wondered.

"It's great. Back to normal." Barry reassured her.

"Okay." Atchaco said. "Part of me doesn't believe you, but I trust your word."

"Dude, she looks amazing. You have to tell her how amazing she looks." Cisco tells him.

"You look amazing, Atchaco." Barry repeated.

"Uh, thanks, I actually had a really hard time trying to figure out what to wear, like, if I should wear a dress or if this colour was a little weird." Atchaco admits.

"No, you look great. Um, yeah, no, that... what would you call that colour?" Barry wonders.

"Um, uh…" Atchaco starts to say.

"I can't tell. The feed's black and white." Cisco tells him.

"I'm not quite sure." Atchaco said.

"Yeah, whatever it is, that colour should thank you for wearing it." Barry replied.

"My man." Cisco laughs.

"Smooth." Atchaco chuckles softly.

"Not smooth." Barry laughs softly and they laugh as the waiter comes up with the wine list.

"Oh, wine list. Here we go." Cisco said.

"Uh, yes, uh, got it. Thank you. Um…" Barry puts the list in front of him. "Um, you know, why don't you…" He accidentally bumps into the water pitcher. "Oop! Sorry."

"No, that's okay." Atchaco reassured him.

"The guy always picks. Why don't you choose?" Barry said as he handed her the wine list.

"Yeah, what do you want, red or white?" Atchaco wondered.

"Whatever you'd like. Uh, yeah." Barry replied.

"You got this. Why do you even need me?" Cisco said.

Meanwhile, Caitin and Jay were outside Central City Picture News. Caitlin walks over to the van where Jay was and hands him a coffee. "Here you go." She said.

"Thank you." Jay replied.

"Classic stakeout fuel." Caitlin told him.

"Yeah." Jay agreed.

"You have coffee on your Earth, right?" Caitlin asked.

"I think coffee's the one constant in the multiverse." Jay answered and they both laughed softly.

"So I don't mean to pry, but when Wells keeps referring to you and Zoom, what's he talking about?" Caitlin questioned.

"I fought Zoom many times, each time barely escaping with my life." Jay sighs. "So yeah. Maybe I didn't always confront him when I should have. Truth is, Zoom scared me. He stole the most precious thing from me: my speed. I didn't want Barry or Atchaco to suffer the same fate."

"Well, maybe if you just sat down with Wells, talked to him about it…" Caitlin started to say.

"No, no, no." Jay butted in. "Do not trust Wells, Caitlin. The guy was more than happy to make money off the meta-human problem with his tech apps, and now he's obsessed with Zoom. Something has changed and not just because I disappeared."

"Well, I don't trust Wells. I trust you." Caitlin admits.

Back with Barry and Atchaco they were enjoying their food. "You know what we never talked about." Atchaco said.

"What?" Barry asked.

"Being struck by lightning." Atchaco answered.

"No we have not." Barry agreed.

"So, what do you remember about it. Because all I really remember is feeling electricity surging through my body and heating it up." Atchaco admits.

"For me, it was an intensity I had never felt, like I was instantly connected to everything around me." Barry tells her. "Then I woke up from a coma nine months later. Waking up in the future like that, it's like time travel."

"Sort of, yeah." Atchaco agreed. "You know, me being struck by lightning and waking up as a cyborg was terrifying. But me losing my right arm when I was 12." Atchaco lifts up her right arm and shows him her fake arm. "That was worse. Can't remember what happened, and part of me doesn't want to. And I've been through a few things in my life that taught me not to be afraid of anything. I think fear is what holds people back from being who they should be."

"Ugh, preach!" Cisco cheered and Barry bumps his knee on the table and clears his throat. "Yeah, I'm still here, creepin' and peepin'."

"You okay?" Atchaco asked.

"Sorry, I just... Yeah, I really agree with that." Barry told her.

"Really?" Atchaco wondered.

"Mm-hmm." Barry nods.

"I think another thing, too, I think you're still blind." Atchaco replies.

"Abort!" Cisco called.

"What? What do you mean?" Barry questioned.

"I think you can't see me. Come on, I'm not an idiot. You are wearing sunglasses at nighttime. You have an earpiece in your ear." Atchaco points out.

"I'm so sorry." Barry apologised as he took off his sunglasses and put them in his pocket.

"Barry! I lost my eyes!" Cisco complained.

"It's okay. So, who is on the other side of the earpiece?" Atchaco asked.

"Cisco." Barry replies.

"Ah." Atchaco gets closer to Barry's ear. "Bye, Cisco." Atchaco smiles as she takes out the earpiece.

"You have a great smile." Barry compliments.

"Really, how do you know I'm smiling?" Atchaco questioned.

"Just a hunch." Barry smiled. Atchaco smiles back and then reaches out and grabs his hand.

Meanwhile, Jay and Caitlin were talking on their stakeout. "Okay, so what else is different about our worlds? Do you have Tahiti?" Caitlin asked.

"Never been, but I do love Atlantis." Jay answered.

"As in the lost city submerged in the ocean somewhere?" Caitlin wonders.

"Well, it's actually above water on my Earth. One of my best friends is from there." Jay admits.

"I would love to see it." Caitlin smiles.

"It's special. It's the kind of place you never want to leave." Jay tells her. Then as they were leaning in to kiss each other, Dr Light shows up and she hits their van with her light beam and it flips the van over.

A few minutes later, Dr Light walks into Central City Picture News and spots Linda. "Hello, gorgeous. Everybody out, now!" Dr Light ordered. Then Iris and Linda's boss started getting the other workers out of there.

"Go! Go, go, go. Go, move, quick." He shuts.

"Except you." Dr Light points to Linda.

"I don't think so." He tells her.

"No, no, she's leaving with us." Iris said as she stepped in front of Linda.

"Not today." Dr Light replies.

"What do you want from me?" Linda asks.

"Your life." Dr Light answers as her hands light up.

Outside, Jay and Caitlin regained consciousness. "Doctor Light." Jay groans.

"Oh, no. Go." Caitlin said. Jay grunts as he climbs out of the van.

Back inside, Dr Light was glaring at Linda. "I've never killed anyone before, but it's not murder if it's your double, right?" Dr Light chuckles.

"Why are you doing this?" Linda asked.

"It's the only way that I can stay alive. To become you. I'm sorry, Linda." Dr Light apologised. Suddenly, their boss grabs a letter opener and goes to attack Dr Light as she shoots a light beam out of her hand, he gets hit and it goes through his chest.

"No!" Linda screamed as her boss dropped dead. Dr Light then looks at her hands in horror. Iris takes out that gun that Joe gave her and shoots at Dr Light, but it only hits her mask and they all see Dr Light's face and Linda's face widens. "How is this possible?"

"You couldn't understand." Linda tells her as Jay runs in.

"Light!" He said.

"Flash. I thought I took care of you outside." Dr Light replied. She then shoots a light beam down on the floor like she did at the bank and makes her escape.

Meanwhile, Atchaco was walking through the city together and she was currently helping Barry down the stairs. "Please don't let go. I may trip." Barry warned.

"Okay, I won't. I promise. Two more steps." Atchaco informs him.

"All right. Missed one." Barry said.

"There you go." Atchaco replied. They laugh as they reach the final step. "So as first dates go, even though this wasn't really a first date." Barry nods in agreement. "You know at the end of a date there is usually a goodnight kiss."

"You're absolutely right." Barry agreed. Atchaco grabs Barry's hands and puts them on her face. Barry then pulls her close and they kiss as sparks fly when they're lips touch. They then pull away. Barry looks down and opens Atchaco's jacket as he looks at her dress. "Um... Um, this is pale purple, by the way, and you look great in it."

"You got your sight back. You can see." Atchaco noticed.

"I can." Barry smiles.

"That must have been some kiss." Atchaco chuckles.

"I guess so." Barry replied. As they were going to kiss again, both of their phones vibrated. It was Cisco and Caitlin and they told them what had happened.

Minutes later, Patty was questioning Linda as the coroners took her dead boss out of Central City Picture News. "I saw myself. How is that even possible?" Linda wonders.

"Sounds like you have an evil meta-twin." Patty tells her.

"And now Larkin's dead because someone who looks like me wanted to kill me?" Linda sighs.

"Linda, none of this is your fault. We're gonna figure it all out, I promise." Joe reassures her.

"How you doing?" Barry asked.

"I'm alive, thanks to Iris. Turns out she's as badass with a gun as she is with a pen." Linda said.

"Yeah, she is." Atchaco agreed.

"I'm just happy that you're safe." Iris told Linda.

"I've arranged a security detail around the clock, just to be sure." Joe tells them.

"I can take you to them if you're ready." Patty said.

"Yeah." LInda replied and Patty escorted her out.

"This is because of me. I should've been here." Barry complained.

"Barry, you were blind. There's nothing that you could have done." Iris reminds him.

"You think this mask can help us find that woman?" Joe asks as he hands Dr Light's mask to Barry.

"Any evidence on this is just gonna match Linda." Atchaco points out.

"We'll think of something else. Light's not gonna kill again." Barry said.

Later, Caitlin was tending to Jay's head wound at STAR Labs as Barry and Atchaco walk in. "Caitlin, are you guys okay?" Atchaco questioned.

"Yeah." Caitlin answered.

"Barry, Atchaco, I'm sorry. Doctor Light's never killed before. I thought we could reason with her." Jay apologised.

"You cannot reason with someone under Zoom's influence, and now a man is dead because of you, Garrick. This whole thing is because of you." Harry points to Barry. "He doubts himself because of you, but believe me, Barry can do what you could not. Barry can stop Zoom and so can Atchaco."

"I spent two years hunting Zoom." He reminded him.

"Wrong! Zoom hunted you! You spent the last two years of your life running, running, running from Zoom." Harry argued.

"Zoom would have killed me just like he will kill Barry and Atchaco if you lead him down this path!" Jay shouted.

"No, because he is not like you. Barry and Atchaco run towards danger, not from it, because they are not cowards." Harry tells him. Jay then punches Harry in the face and then Harry hits and a fight breaks out.

Barry and Atchaco got tired of them fighting so they used their speed and pulled them apart. "Enough!" Triton yelled. Joe sighs. Harry glares at Jay before storming out of the Cortex.

Minutes later, Barry and Atchaco go and talk to Harry at Cisco's work room. "You were pretty hard on Jay in there." Atchaco noticed.

"Maybe you both should be hard on Jay too. I've seen what you both can do. I've calculated how fast you two can run, and you should be teaching Jay, not the other way around." Harry said.

"You know, before I learned that the other Wells was the man who murdered my mom, I looked up to him. He was my mentor, actually." Barry admitted.

"So my doppelganger, a man who looks exactly like me, betrayed you two." Harry realised.

"Mm." Atchaco nods.

"I'm sorry, I'm not him, so you need to listen to me when I say you both can take care of Zoom, and all we have to do." Harry snaps his fingers. "Is capture Doctor Light."

"I thought about testing the mask for Light's DNA, but it would only have Linda's." Atchaco said.

"The mask, what mask?" Harry asked.

"Light's mask." Barry replied.

Minutes later, everyone is back in the Cortex and they are showing Harry Light's mask. "How did you get this?" Harry questined.

"Iris shot it off Doctor Light when she attacked Linda." Atchaco answered.

"You know how to use the mask to find Light?" Jay wondered.

"Yes, I do. All we have to do is give it to him." Harry said, facing Cisco.

"Why me?" Cisco asked.

"Because you have powers." Harry pointed out and Barry laughed softly.

"What are you talking about?" Cisco questioned.

"I developed this watch to detect metahumans." Harry said, lifting up his sleeve and revealing the watch. He puts it in front of Barry and Atchaco and the watch beeps, and then he does it in front of Caitin to prove that it works. "You never got an alert on your phone. You never reprogrammed the S.T.A.R. Labs satellite, and this is why." He puts his watch in front of Cisco and it beeps. "He's a metahuman."

"Cisco, have you known about this, and you didn't say anything to us?" Barry asked.

"Yeah, I was gonna tell you. Thanks a lot, Harry. I swear I was, but I didn't. I was just... I was afraid." Cisco admits.

"Afraid of what?" Atchaco questions.

"Dr. Wells said the dark matter gave me this, this gift. He said that one day I'd thank him for it. What if I become like him?" Cisco wonders.

"Cisco, I don't think any of us would become evil if we all of sudden got powers, even if they were from Dr. Wells." Caitlin reassures him.

"Yeah, maybe you're right. I should have said something. That's my fault. I'm sorry." Cisco apologises.

"Well, you can be sorry later, because right now, we have to use your powers to find Doctor Light." Harry reminds him.

"Cisco, your abilities, how do they work?" Jay asked.

"Uh, I get these feelings sometimes, these vibes, visions of the breachers when they come to this Earth. I just... I'm not sure what triggers it. Sometimes it just happens. Sometimes it's when I'm touching something of theirs." Cisco explained.

"Touch the mask. You want to find Doctor Light, do it." Harry ordered.

Cisco exhales and then he touches the mask but nothing happens. "I don't think it's working." Cisco said.

"Try again." Harry replies and Cisco hesitates. "Try again!"

"Whoa." Barry said.

Cisco exhales and touches the mask again and still nothing happens. "I'm sorry, it's not...|" Cisco tries to say.

"Again!" Harry yelled.

"I can't control it." Cisco said.

"Because you're afraid." Harry replied, grabbing the mask.

"I'm telling you I don't know how it works! I can't just make it happen!" Cisco shouts.

"I'm telling you, yes, you can!" Harry told him. He then shoves the mask towards Cisco and that's when Cisco gets hit with a vision of Dr Light at a train station and then he quickly comes out of the vision.

"South Plaza train station, platform 15." Cisco informs them.

"What are you waiting for?" Harry said to Atchaco and Barry.

They quickly race out of there and run quickly to the train station. There were so many people that they couldn't see her. "Oh, guys, the platform's crowded. Are you sure she's here?" Macanese wondered.

"She should be wearing a black trench coat." Cisco informed them.

"Black trench coat." Barry repeats and then he sees her. "Found her."

'Everybody, get out of here. Go, go, hurry!' Macanese ordered.

"Why won't you two just let me leave?" Dr Light pondered.

"We can't let you leave. You killed an innocent man." Barry told her.

"That was an accident." Dr Light admits.

"Trying to kill Linda Park wasn't." Macanese replies.

"It's the only way that I can be free from Zoom, unless I kill either one of you." Dr Light explains.

"We can't let you do that either, so we've got a problem." Barry said.

"We'll see." Dr Light replied.

She then shoots her light beam at them and they jump out of the way and hide behind some luggage. "Guys, should have talked about this before we left, but how should we stop her?" Macanese asked.

"Keep trying different angles. Find her blind spot." Jay tells them.

Barry and Macanese peek their heads out and Dr Light shoots another beam and then Barry and Macanese run and hide in front of the train. "We can't get close enough. What should we do?" Barry questioned.

"I don't know." Jay admits.

"I gotta tell ya, that's not exactly the answer we were looking for." Macanese replied.

"You need to confuse her. Give her more than one target, so she does not know who to fire at." Harry informs them.

"All right, how do I do that?" Barry asked.

"By running so fast, you create multiple afterimages of yourself, you create a speed mirage." Harry informs them.

"A wha... speed mir... we've never run that fast." Barry reminds him.

"Well, from what I've been told, you've travelled through time. You both will be more than fast enough." Harry reassures him.

"Okay." Macanese smiles. Dr Light sees them and shoots a beam of light at them but they start moving really fast and she misses them. Dr Light looks around and sees multiple speed mirages of Barry and Macanese and every light beam she throws at them it hits a mirage instead. But then she shoots another beam of light and hits them both, sending them flying.

"Barry? Macanese?" Caitlin worries.

"We can't do it." Barry sighed.

"Yes, you can, Barry." Jay tells them. "Hey, Dr. Wells is right. You and Atchaco are fast, faster than I ever was and better than I ever will be. Don't let fear and doubt hold you back like it did to me. You have someone there that needs you." Barry looks over at Macanese. "You're The Flash, Barry. Show Light what that means."

Barry exhales and this time he goes out there alone. He makes the speed mirages as Dr Light shoots them. "Where are you?" Dr Light growls.

Barry shoves Dr Light and she hits herself on a pole and gets knocked out. "I'm right here." Barry smiles.

Macanese then walks up to him. "Nice work." She compliments him.

Later, everyone is in the Cortex of STAR Labs. "Doctor Light is safely locked in the pipeline." Caitlin informs them.

"Nicely done." Cisco fist bumps him.

"Wells, thank you for helping Barry and Athcaco put away Doctor Light." Iris told Harry.

"So what now?" Joe asked.

"We do what Dr. Wells said." Barry answered. "We use her to lure Zoom here, end this once and for all."

"You can't be serious." Jay said.

" More breachers are gonna come. More innocent people may die. I can't let this happen anymore." Barry replies.

"You're making a mistake. Okay, Zoom is a nightmare you can't wake up from." Jay warns him.

"I've already had my worst nightmare. His name was Reverse Flash, and I spent a long time being afraid of him. I'm not gonna be afraid anymore." Barry tells him.

"Okay, Barry. You may be faster than me, but you're not ready to fight Zoom by yourself." Jay said.

"That's just it, Jay. I'm not gonna fight him by myself. I've got all of them to help me. I've got Dr. Wells. I've got you." Barry reminds him.

"No, I can't in good conscience help you when I know it'll only lead to you losing your speed, or even worse, your death." Jay admits.

"Optimism must be an Earth-1 thing." Cisco notices.

"You all need to ask yourself why this man, for years, wouldn't admit that he was responsible for the Particle Accelerator exploding underground. He may not be Harrison Wells from your Earth, but he has just as many secrets as the one you knew." Jay warns them as he starts walking away.

"Jay, please don't go." Caitlin said.

"I'm so sorry, Caitlin." Jay apologised as he turned and walked out of the Cortex.

The next day at Jitters, Kendra the barista was serving people at the counter. "Have a nice day. What can I get…" She starts to say and then she sees Cisco. "You?"

"Yeah, I know, this is supes awkward, probably more for me than for you, but I just want coffee, okay? Just three flashes, one of them decaf and one thunder. That's it." Cisco tells her.

"Are you sure that's all you want?" Kendra wondered.

"Oh, that's funny. You just want to shoot me down again, huh?" Cisco questioned.

"No, no, no, no." Kendra answers. "What I mean is, I just moved to Central City, and it's a pretty big change from where I come from. Everything here is so big and new and filled with metahumans."

"Yeah, well, when you factor in the size of the city, the chances of running into a metahuman are actually pretty low." Cisco tells her.

"I guess." Kendra giggles. "What I'm trying to say is, you kinda caught me off guard the other day, but now I'm a little more prepared, so I just want to make sure, is coffee all you want?"

"Hi, I'm Cisco Ramon." Cisco smiles.

"Kendra Saunders. It's nice to meet you." She returns.

Meanwhile, Barry, Atchaco and Caitlin were sitting at a table. "Are you okay?" Atchaco asked.

"Yeah, I just... I was getting used to Jay being part of the team." Caitlin admits.

"Well, look, Jay is a hero. They always seem to show up just when you need 'em." Barry reassured her.

Cisco walks over to the table with the coffee. "Yo, peep that." Cisco shows them that he got Kendra's number.

"Wow!" Barry grinned.

"That's how it's done, young Padawan." Cisco chuckles.

"Nice." Atchaco said.

"Going on a date next week." Cisco tells them.

"Things are looking up for Cisco Ramon." Barry notices.

"I guess so. Still stuck with these powers, though. Just don't know how to feel about 'em." Cisco admits.

"Hey, look, you don't gotta go through it alone." Atchaco reminds him.

"And now you need a cool name." Caitlin points out.

"Oh, snap! You're totally right." Cisco sighs. "I gotta think about this one. Well, you know me. It's gotta be perfect."

"Mm-hmm." Barry hums.

"Something that really sings, you know? Something like…" Cisco started to say.

"Vibe?" Atchaco suggests.

"Vibe." Caitlin repeats.

"Vibe." Cisco agreed. What none of them knew was that Harry was watching them from afar with an intense stare.

Meanwhile on earth 2, Zoom rushes into his hideout. "Your father has abandoned you." Zoom growls.

"You're lying!" She argued. Earth two Well's daughter was chained up in a cage, Zoom's prisoner. "My father's the smartest man alive. He'll find me, he'll save me, and then he'll kill you."

"I will not die. What happens to you and your father is still to be decided." Zoom replies. He then rushes out of there, leaving Harry's daughter in her cage. She pulls at her chains in anger as she watches Zoom leave. Her being his prisoner cannot be good at all.
