Chapter 16- Defense Breach

Raphina's PoV

I am waiting for my brother John here in this mansion while watching some of my teammates train their abilities.

I am quite bored since he's not hear to make the team lively with his brags and jokes.

He's sometimes harsh with his training but I understand that since he just wants us to become stronger so that the past won't occur again.

The past is in the past.

All of us die, even John himself but he will still regain his memories every time he dies.

I wish I can be like him.

Saving the world by finding the cure for the virus.

Not even wavering from all those challenges and hardships that he encountered.

I promised my brother that I will become stronger than before so that I won't rely on him forever.

As I'm in the window, watching my teammates train, I suddenly felt a strong tremor.

It then shook the mansion.

I look at our barrier.

It was somehow destroyed.

One thing came out of my mind.

"People invaded our mansion just because John isn't here. They're foolish, we still have Harry and Blaze." I said while snickering a little.

Harry's PoV

I am training right now in the backyard.

I focus on practicing my space skill called [gravity]

I try to use it on myself to let myself float in the air.

To be precise, I just lowered the gravity field near me.

It is somehow successful.

I then apply it to the tree near me.

The tree then breaks because of the intense gravity pressure.

I keep doing it multiple times to improve my ability on manipulating space.

I then make a [space barrier].

The difference between my space barrier and Rick's is that his barrier is transparent and can deflect attacks while mine is black and cannot deflect attack but destroy or absorb it.

Like how I did with my gravity skill, I keep doing it again and again to improve my skill.

While training for an hour, I took a break and consume some zombie cores to improve my evolution and I also solidify my foundation.

I made a breakthrough in both rank and tier.

I keep improving my evolution so that I can defend the mansion even when John isn't here.

I want to surpass him in turns of ability and evolution but since he has more knowledge than me, I can't do it.

But it doesn't stop me from trying.

As I was training my ability, I felt a sudden tremor which I then observe our barrier and I found out that it was destroyed.

"A damn pest dares to attack our mansion," I said while clenching my fists.

Skye's PoV:

I'm inside the mansion researching the blood that I collected from my previous life.

If you're going to misunderstand me then I will say in advance that it is zombie blood, not human blood.

I found some ways to process zombie blood into zombie cores but it will take a lot of time.

It can also be a solution for finding the cure but it will take a longer time than processing it into zombie cores.

I also try to use my ability called [blood manipulation].

I use my blood to control zombie blood so that I can improve my manipulating ability to the next level.

If I can control zombie blood then I can easily kill them cuz I can just make their blood burst out of their body.

I can now control at least 1 liter of zombie blood.

I also found some evolve who can control blood like me but I'm more proficient in controlling it.

One of my ability which is called [blood burst] can make an entity's blood burst out of their body, whether it will be zombie or human.

The higher the evolution of either zombie or human, the harder it is to use.

John also tried to use blood manipulation.

He was more proficient in using it than me even though it's my main ability.

He invented lots of skills using blood manipulation.

He thought me all of the things he knows about it and tells me that I was the one who invented.

My past self to be precise.

I process some zombie blood into cores.

While processing it, I suddenly felt a strong tremor that broke some of my test tubes.

I'm very angry about it.

I went outside to see the damn bastard who did this.

Darks' PoV:

I'm now training in the backyard of the mansion with Light.

Since his ability is light while mine is poison, we tried to use it against each other to see which one of us is stronger.

I can subdue Light's light so that makes me stronger than him.

And it's also easier to control poison than light since you need to understand a lot of concepts of light to manipulate it.

I can easily control poison since I just need to be in a shade or something.

I tried practicing it again and again so that I can master it.

After practicing a lot, I felt a sudden tremor that shook the whole mansion.

I went outside and found out that the barrier was destroyed by some random strangers.

"This is the reason why I hate cheap artifacts," I said while snickering.

Light's PoV:

My fight with John was humiliating.

That's why I tried to spar with Dark to see who's stronger between us.

I fought Dark for a minute and left with utter defeat.

I can't accept the fact that I was defeated by someone, again.

I keep practicing and practicing so that I can improve my ability.

I'll fight John another time when I make a breakthrough in my evolution.

After practicing, I felt a sudden tremor which made me stumble on the ground.

"I wonder where that was," I muttered to myself.

Alice's PoV:

I'm now in the backyard of the mansion, practicing my air manipulation ability

I use it to help me levitate on the air.

It was successful.

I then use it make a small tornado on my palm.

I keep doing it again and again until I mastered it completely.

After practicing, like a lot, I felt a strong tremor which shook the whole mansion.

I use [levitate] to fly out of the mansion to get out.

I make sure to avoid some falling debris (if there is any) but there isn't since John's mansion is really sturdy.

I went out and went to the gate to see which evolve dares to mess with us.
