Chapter 4

Harry stepped (read: fell) out of the fireplace in a room with stone floor, walls, and ceiling. The stone was intricately carved and looked elegant and beautiful. He marveled at the room while getting up from the floor, that's when he saw the armor-clad guards by the door.

"May your gold ever flow. I am Harry Potter, and I was summoned here today by the Potter account manager Sharptooth." The goblins standing guard only stared at him for a moment, before one of them stepped forward. The goblin was grinning with too many teeth.

"Follow me." The goblin turned and walked out the door, Harry followed after him seconds later. They walked through mace-like corridors, all indistinguishable from each other. There were doors on both sides with names written on them, Harry saw that it was not the names of the goblins most certainly inside, but that of wixen families. Harry saw Malfoy, Bones, and Weasely-Prewett, among many others.

Finally, they stopped at one of the doors, the guard knocked and open the door before Harry could read more than Potter-Black. Harry was all but shoved into the room, the door almost slamming shut behind him.

The office he was now standing in was beautiful. The walls were decorated with intricate designs right into the gray stone, and stunning weapons. All the furniture were made of mahogany wood, from the shelfs and cabinets to the big desk where the three people already in the room were sitting, now facing him.

Sirius and Remus were turned, from there they sat facing the desk, to look at who had entered the room. They sprang up and towards Harry as soon as they saw it was him.

"Cub/Pup" where said before Harry was embraced in a hug from his godfathers. Harry froze only for a second before hugging the two adults back. "Harry, are you okay? That man didn't hurt you before you left that house, did he? Dumbledore's people didn't find you, right?"

Remus was firing question after question at Harry, Sirius and him still hugging Harry. "Yeah, I'm fine, he didn't hurt me, and no, do you think I would be here if I was found by that man's people?" They let go and Harry smiled up at them.

"It is good to finally meet you, Mr. Potter-Black." The goblin behind the desk, who Harry presumed was Sharptooth, said. "We have much to discussed. We have been trying to reach you since you re-entered the magical world right before your first year at Hogwarts."

Sharptooth didn't get to say more before Remus and Sirius interrupted, "Since first year?" They looked at Harry, "why didn't you answer any of them, Harry?" Remus said in a calm, not at all accusing voice, but still Harry looked down in shame.

"I didn't get any letter from Gringotts before two days ago…" he mumbled, but the whole room heard him.

"We at Gringotts suspected as much. We have been trying since Yule to bypass the interferences. Whoever have been interfering have done a sound job." Sharptooth said to all three of them. "Anyhow, let us get to the real reason you are here."

Harry, Remus, and Sirius, who were still standing at the door, walk over to the desk and take one chair each in front of the desk. No one comments on how there were only two chairs a moment ago.

Sharptooth looks at Harry, "Mr. Potter-Black, we called you in to have your inheritance test done. Muggle-born and muggle-raised children all go through this procedure when they enter the magical world." Sharptooth began.

"Then why didn't Harry?" was asked by both Remus and Sirius.

"I do not know. It is protocol to ask all muggle-born and muggle-raised children, so I cannot understand why Mr. Potter-Black did not get an inheritance test." Sharptooth answer, eyes never leaving Harry.

"I was never asked. Both Hagrid and the teller were too busy talking about the philosopher's stone in vault seven hundred and thirteen…" Harry shifted on his seat as he talked, the adults and the goblin looking at him.

Sharptooth sighed, and his hand twitched like he wanted to rub his temple or pinch the bridge of his nose, "First, how do you remember the vault number? There are goblin magicks at work to make all, except goblins and the owner of the vault, forget such information. Second, that is no excuse for not informing you." Sharptooth's stare was willing Harry to understand.

"Third! Hagrid, Hagrid showed you around Diagon Alley for the first time?" Sirius interrupted again.

"Yes, Hagrid. He was the one who introduced me to the wixen world." Harry said to Sirius before turning to Sharptooth, "And I really don't know why I remember, Sir Sharptooth." Harry said apologetically.

"We are talking about this when we get home, both about Hagrid and the Philosophers stone." Remus said looking Harry in the eye, "I'm not mad, but I want to know."

"Okay" Harry said in a small voice, looking down at the desk again.

With a deep breath, Sharptooth gathered the attention back to himself, "Well, let us get back to topic. The inheritance test. Mr. Potter-Black, use this quill and write your full name on this parchment." He gave Harry a red-feathered quill and placed a sheet of parchment in front of Harry, on the desk.

Harry looked curiously at the quill; he'd never seen a red-feathered quill before. SHarptooth must have seen his curiosity because he began explaining the quill, "This is a Bloodquill, a goblin artifact that was made specifically for this situation. It takes the blood from the writer without harming, nor hurting the writer. Furthermore, Bloodquills are strictly guarded artifacts and nothing, but goblins, are allowed to own one."

Harry writes his name, the one he was addressed as by Sharptooth in the letter from Gringotts, Harrison James Potter-Black, at the top of the parchment.

Harry watch transfixed as an invisible hand begins writing in a dark blue ink under his name. The writing continues, reveling secret after secret. When the writing finally stopped, they were all shocked to their cores.
