Locked in a staring contest, both Felix and Trent were sending electric shocks to each other through their eyes.
"Fine. I won't meddle with your job, Deputy Trent." Felix forwarded the file in his hand to Trent.
Trent's eyes left Felix's as he looked at the file that Felix was giving to him. The tightness on his face eased up with Felix's withdrawal.
Holding up his hand, Trent reached for the file that Felix extended to him. Trent was about to snatch the file when Felix pulled back his hand that was holding the file to dodge Trent's hold.
"But let me keep this file for a while. I still need to learn and get familiar with everything that is related to this prison. What kind of leader will I be if I don't know what services we provide? Maybe I can help you get more companies to work with this prison, adding more funds," said Felix.
With that being said, Felix kept the file with him and headed towards the door.
