Chapter 13: The Suit, and Negative intelligence

"This is your new comic?" Andy said with an inexplicable tone, while he flipped through the thick 'comic' sketches in his hand.

"This comic has nothing to do with superheroes, and it's so bloody. That's far from the mainstream, are you even sure that someone will read it?"

By now everyone should know that in the marvel world many cartoonists have died trying to make comics on other subjects. After all superheroes are the easiest to draw and the most profitable.

"Correct."

Of course Lucien understood what Andy was thinking, and said, "These two new comics are very eye-catching. Uncle, you should know by now that the superhero market is full. With the success of 'One Punch Man' does not mean that we can keep using this theme."

"Well then, you are the boss and so you can say anything. I'm just worried that other people will say that you are exhausted."

"How is it possible? Actually, now that I think about it there is still a superhero theme in my mind, but it is not suitable for publishing right now." Lucien snorted and pointed to his head.

"That's good. Well I will print these comics right now, so they can be published tomorrow morning."

Once Andy heard Lucien's words, he felt relieved and secretly though: 'It's good that he still has confidence.'

Andy seemed to pause for a moment before saying: "Recently, Manhattan has become not peaceful. I even heard that a bunch of gangsters who died a few days ago had been killed by mutants, and they were reduced to leftovers. I heard that the gang these 'victims' were owned by a big drug lord. So be careful when you go out."

"Thank you Uncle Andy for your concern."

Lucien's eyes seemed to flash as he watched Andy leave. As of today, it has been four days since he killed those gangsters.

Lucien had chosen to make "Shounen Jump" a weekly comic magazine, so tomorrow is the set release date for the new issue. So he couldn't help but call out his system's interface.

His comic fan value has already reached the beginning of one million. Lucien has patiently accumulated his points to this day and has not yet drawn from the system's lottery, for the fear of only drawing out Saitama's uniform.

"System, please adjust specifications, Draw from the lottery five times with 100,000 points and one time with 500,000 points."

It should be known as a fact that the current lottery was not that good strictly speaking at the moment. If Lucien was to wait till tomorrow then there would be more that could be won, but Lucien had still chosen to draw today.

For of the three comics, Winning things from 'One Punch Man' will help him a lot, while possessions from the other two comics would not be very useful to him.

The content Lucien can win from the lottery are things from his published comic content. Earlier it was only things from the first four episodes of 'One Punch Man'. If he were to draw from the lottery tomorrow, then the potential content will be expanded to items from the three different comic books, each up to around ten episodes. These means that the chances of getting useful content will become smaller over time as the prizes full up with props.

Well then, Let's look into the first five draws Lucien spent 100,000 fan points on.

Sure enough, Lucien felt that he had used most of his good luck last time.

The white cloak fell into Lucien's hand, Before Lucien shook his head and threw the cloak by his trash bin without saying a word.

Saitama's uniform has no characteristics what so ever, let alone anything that prevents injury so Lucien believes that it's a bad draw.

'What? Can a TV be taken?!'

'Mmp, and a football....Wait is this the football of that butt-chin child who was attacked by the crab monster?'

Lucien took the football in his hands before carelessly throwing it towards his sofa in the living room. The football hit Gali on the head before she started to play with it in boredom. Gali's lazy eyes were clear.

'Sure enough, Gali was a child.'

Lucien felt like complaining about his luck with the lottery. 'Come on.'

'That's more like it.'

Skill shards/fragments were very practical for Lucien. With just lv1 the lightwave ball can blow up ordinary people, With lv2 Lucien should be able to do even more.

Lucien equipped the skill shard, which changed the lv1 to a lv2 on his skill menu.

[Congratulation Host, You have received a Character shard for 'Underworld King' x1]

'The underground king. . . Umm....'

Although the strength of the underworld king can compete with Saitama, a god-like monster.....That was unfortunately just in a dream.

In reality, The Underworld King was at best a ghost-level disaster, and it's very different then Vaccine man.

Lucien then remembered that the system hadn't explained what the use of the character fragments/shards were before, so he asked: "How do I make use of the characters fragments?"

[Once Host has gathered ten character fragments, Host can summon the character, who will have strong goodwill with their summoner and sees you as friendly and trustworthy.]

[Host can also receive special item fragments, You need three item fragments summon it.]

'Summoning character is incredible.'

Imagine the chaos between the characters of 'One Punch Man' and the 'Marvel', Lucien felt very eager to try and see this scene in reality.

The next lottery draw was obtained by using 500,000 fan points, so the probability of getting rare items were five times higher then it was before.

Forcing himself to remain calm from the excitement. Lucien started at the lottery interface, as his nervous heart beat faster.

Lucien took a deep breath, after all he never expected to be able to out a skill set, and...

"Hey System, What does the negative intelligence mean? How could that be negative?"

Is this something you should be able to draw out of a 500,000 lottery?

[After taking the super steroid made by Fukegao, Marugori became near Brain dead and accidentally splatted his brother because of his lower IQ. Before he took the steroid his IQ was normal.]

The cold mechanical voice of the system paused, before saying; [Host can chose not to equip the skill.]

'No duh.'

It would be nonsense to equip it, though the others skill can still be equipped.

It was fortunate that Lucien didn't drink the Super Steroid, but now he wonders if Gali has become 'Stupid'. Lucien looked over at Gali who was playing with the football and shook his head.

The potion should have been digested by now, and even if Gali was not smarter, she didn't appear to become stupid either.

The lottery wasn't lying when it said it was able to draw possessions. As long as it was shown in the comic, it can be regarded as one of the potential lottery prizes. Whether it was an active release, a passive talent, or anything other, It can be regarded as a skill.

Lucien equipped the skill fragments; Tough lv2 and Strange Power lv1 and watched as two faint white lights poured into his body, Giving a warm feeling flowing all over his body.

It would not take long for him to feel that the cells throughout his body were activated, and his body was surging with power.

*Boom!*

Lucien threw out a punch which caused a terrifying force to explode in midair, before a shock wave formed from the hit and rushed towards the wall.

A big hole was directly punched out of the wall, and cobweb-like cracks spread out in all directions.

Gali, who had bouncing the ball on her head, glance at the study, before putting down the football without saying a word and went into the kitchen to eat some snacks on her own.

"Yeah yah ya, That looks like it's going to need to be renovated." Lucien scratched his neck, not in annoyance, after all money was not a problem to him, but in a more awkward way.

He smiled happily though, while thinking with secret joy: 'As expected of a dragon-level disaster Giant. The Strange Power skill that was only Lv1 can already use such a powerful force.'

*Dududu*

"Hey, Lucien are you there? Today's the New York Carnival Parade, will you be coming?"

Peter Parker's joyful voice came from Lucien's cell phone. It seems that Peter has come out of his trough of sadness from when his Uncle Ben was shot and killed, Lucien was glad that Peter finally had a smile to fill his heart.

"I'll be there."

After Lucien hung up his phone, he found Gali staring at him with tears in her eyes. Lucien wore a bitter sweet smile before saying: "Okay, I'll take you with me."

"Hehehehe."

Gali laughed as she immediately went and picked up a small purple backpack filled with snacks, and ran up to the door.

Perhaps the negative intelligence just wasn't digested yet.

Lucien felt a little tired, as adopting this Loli was about as worrying as raising a daughter.
