Rosalyn leveling up

There were two professors in charge of combat class, a female professor for girls and male professor for the boys.

Standing in training ground everyone submitted the field forms to the professors.

Everyone was not a wizard, there were some commoners who had exceptional talent and affinity but were not able to level up to a rank 1 wizard as early compared the students from noble families.

So as to not get them hurt, it was necessary to separate them.

The combat class was very simple. First the two professors divided everyone into wizards and non wizards.

The students that were the wizards were asked to draw a lottery one by one by, They were randomly assigned a number from the paper chits they pick up from the lottery box full of folded chits with some different and some same numbers.

Then they were asked to duel with each other based on their numbers, for example no.1 will fight the person with same number as him/her which is no.1.

Boys were fighting boys and the girls were fighting girls.

The duel was done to get a proper judgement of the skills everyone had and the reason they didn't allow the boys and girls to fight each other this earlier in Academy was because some young and ingnorant noble boys could physically harm the girl in a duel and the girl might accuse them of harassment.

This could cause a political war between two noble families, this has already happened once and to prevent this from happening again the rule was added.

The students that were not Wizards were told to sit cross legged and were taught the training method on how to properly circulate mana and were asked to practice it regularly until they perfect it. This was the bare minimum they had to do before they could be moved to the next step.

The students started fighting each other, most of them were pretty bland fights, where the rank 1 non- experienced kids were chanting while standing still and throwing basic spells like fireball and waterball at each other.

Lethal spell like acid arrow was not allowed.

Though the students are taught to fight with each other, Boys also fight with girls and they are also taught how to use lethal spells but this was all done later, and as this was the first class.

There was a particular curriculum the professors had to follow through, while teaching.

Athan was just standing, watching Rosalyn and waiting for his turn, he saw how Rosalyn overwhelmed a girl with her almost instant chanting of spells and movements.

She looked like a frail and delicate girl but she proved why she was the second ranker in the entrance exams and that she had incredible powers hidden inside that delicate body of hers.

Finishing her match in style Rosalyn went down from the stage and turned her face towards the boys side, where her eyes met Athan's and watching him congratulate her with a thumbs up, a beautiful wide smile appeared on her face.

It was soon Athan's turn to fight, he watched as Rosalyn wished him luck when he was climbing up the stage and he gave her a flying kiss in front of everyone which made the innocenct Rosalyn blush in embarrassment.

His opponent was a blonde haired skinny boy, Athan didn't even know the boy's name and soon as the professor announced the start of the match, a fireball was instantly launched on the boy taking him with surprise and he was instantly knocked out of the stage.

Athan went up to the boy and extended his hands, which the boy took and stood up, he thanked and congratulated Athan and left the stage without saying much in disappointment at his badluck that he was matched against Athan.

When Athan went down from the stage everyone was still in shock at him using chant-less spells except the professor, who already saw his entrance examination videos.

Athan courteously replied to everyone and came back to his spot. He again shifted his gaze towards the girls side where he saw Rosalyn looking at him in awe.

When she saw him watching her, she congratulated him with two thumbs up, to which he thanked her with a wink and a smile.

They both interacted with each other through signs untill all the duels were over and the professors were evaluating everyone's performance.

The results were based on one fight, and it was only for professors to get a rough estimation from about the students, it wasn't a strict and thorough ranking, but the students still wanted the results to be shown to everyone so that they can know at what rank they belong in the class.

The professors finally complied with the students request and showed two different list, one of boys and one of girls. Athan and Rosalyn were both on top of their respective lists.

The class was finally over after the evaluation and everyone was going back to the classroom, except Athan and Rosalyn who were walking together towards the Cafeteria as Athan promised Rosalyn to got there with her.

They both order some potato fries, spicy cheese noodles and strawberry ice cream.

" Athan, I am going to level to rank -2 today " Rosalyn suddenly remembered and told him as they were enjoying the noodles from same bowl.

" Really ? congratulations Rosalyn, i already knew that you were going to level up in one of these days but didn't knew you would make a solid foundation so soon, well done. Tell me when you do it, i want to be there with you. " Athan congratulated and praised her for her hardwork.

" I would take that compliment as i did worked pretty hard, and sure i was hoping you would say that. " Rosalyn joked with him and smiled while showing her white teeth, she was happy that he cared for her asked to be with her when she level up.

When a wizard level up they creates new rings of mana around their heart that helps them build up mana in their body, it also helps them filter the mana from the atmosphere and supply it throughout the body.

When a Wizard creates an additional ring, they also open a different mana channel that spread additional mana throughout their body.

All of this was just a time consuming process and was quite easy in reality if the wizard was patient enough, a normal wizard can do it himself but there is always a possibility that something could go wrong because of outside interference or some hidden problems in the body.

" So cute " saying that Athan pinched her cheeks and she happily let him do it while enjoying his touch. " You are becoming narcissistic Rosalyn "

" What can i do, its the side effect of living with my future husband " Rosalyn was having fun teasing him and he was just feeling relaxed and happy watching her sweetly smile.

They both chatted a little more and ate their food together.

They waited for their Alchemy class to start but after waiting for a few minutes they were notified that the professor was busy with a project he suddenly got a break through in, so there is no Alchemy class today.

They both didn't have Healing class today as well so they went back to the classroom, pack up their stuff and left the room towards the teleportation area at the Academy's gates.

Coming back from the Academy they both greeted Ella who took Rosalyn to her room to study with her, leaving Athan alone.

Ella was getting more and more closer and comfortable with Rosalyn and Athan was happy seeing such development.

Roslyn told him that she's going to level up at night and before that she wanted to just relax and clam her mind.

Athan also decided to study till Rosalyn is ready. He wanted to become strong and seeing Rosalyn working so hard, he got motivated to work hard too.

Changing the clothes, putting restrictions and alarms in his room, he teleported to the Pocket Dimension, where he started another round of study and training.

{ Athan POV }

Night came and it was finally time for Rosalyn to go through the level up process, she was wearing my plain white T-shirt and black lower, which were very loose on her.

Before coming to the garden for leveling up she came to my room and asked for my clothes. she said she wanted to wear something loose that she feel comfortable in and she forgot to bring her loose t-shirts.

I know she was lying but i didnt called her out. Somehow she felt so cute to me trying to ask for my clothes, so i gave her after a little teasing.

~*phew*

Rosalyn sat down crossed leg, and exhaled a large breath, i can feel the mana in the atmosphere entering her body and going through her veins towards her heart.

Now all she had to was make an inscribed ring of mana around her heart.

15 minutes were already over since the start of the process and everything was looking fine.

A few minutes more and her ring would finally be created.

I was happy seeing her doing everything so calmly, she was really a talented and hardworking girl.

But...

Just when i thought that everything was about to complete successfully.

Suddenly, Rosalyn vomited black blood.
