Prologue : The dud

"Son, you are one of my only regrets in this world."

"Brother don't talk to me in public at the academy in the future, please for our common good."

"Bastards, don't ever call me mother again, your mother is a slut and if not for the fact that you possess half Webert blood a scum such as you and my person would never be met."

"Our family has never produced such waste in its two hundred-year history."

Recalling such words, the man dressed in crumpled, old clothes with an unshaven beard and messy hair laughed, coughing up blood as his bloodied body pierced by a dozen bullets turned the floor of the messy room a scarlet colour.

"Ha-ha, brother, I knew you hated me but to the point of killing you amazes me this time."

Another well-coiffed man in a black three-piece suit, surrounded by two men in black with two machine guns, walked up to the front door of the room and stopped abruptly at the words of the man whose breath was getting weaker.

He turned and looked at the man with a cold stare as he said in an icy voice.

"I've told you a thousand times not to call me that."

"Yet, ha-ha, whether you like it or not, or whether I like it or not we are family."

The man replied with a provocative and slightly vengeful smile as his interlocutor clenched his fists and walked slowly towards him before stopping two steps away from his body with his leather shoes just inches from the pool of blood on the ground.

*Blow*

"Agh"

He kicked the man angrily on the ground, making the man scream in pain, and without stopping continued to kick him again and again mechanically.

"You're trash, you've always sucked at everything!"

"Agh"

"At school you were good last!"

"Agh"

"In sports you were one of the worst!"

"Agh"

"In music you're only passable!"

"Agh"

"In business you are a disaster!"

"Agh"

He finally stopped, taking a deep breath and stepping back as he looked into the eyes of the man on the ground, whose complexion was growing paler.

"Look where you live is 28 years old! A narrow room full of comics and kid's stuff!"

"Then explain it to me! Explain to me how a bastard like you could inherit everything! How father could choose you! How!"

At the words of his brother, whose face and cries betrayed his deep anger, the man smiled with difficulty as his vision became blurred and with his last strength he looked his brother in the eye.

"Brother... live a good life... your big brother... wishes you the... best."

The last ounce of light in the man's eyes dissipated before the surprised eyes of his brother who slowly touched his cheek and feeling a liquid flowing down it, he froze without being able to say a single word.
