The Old World

The underground area was unlike anything above it, it looked like a modern lab back on Earth. The floors, ceiling, and walls were all white, like marble. On the walls were arrows and signs that would help people navigate the area. It was big and had many different rooms and features. There were rooms where you could manufacture medicine, a surgery room, many rooms with hospital beds.

I made this because I'd always been a fan of hidden underground labs, and what's more exciting than a modern lab in a fantasy world where the setting is medieval? Anyway, I walked through the white corridors towards where I could sense him. I saw the door to his lab and when I was close, the doors opened themselves. There I could see him. He looked like a human right now, a human in his forties with a white lab coat on and black clothes underneath. He had short brown hair with a few gray hairs and a brown goatee beard.

"Seb..." I called out to him. He was looking at me with wide eyes, I was honestly a bit confused, he should have sensed me. With his power, he should have sensed me the second I arrives in this world, but here he is, looking surprised to see me. I walked up to him and stood about a meter in front of him, I had to look up though, he was almost two meters tall and I was not even one and a half meter tall, for now anyway. I could change my form however I wanted, but this is my original form.

"My Liege," Seb said in a monotone and cold voice, as he got on one knee. When he did that we were almost the same height, I have the physique of a child at the moment. He kept his eyes on mine and they were still wide as if he was still processing the situation.

"How are you?" I said with a smile as I put my right hand on his cheek. I felt I owed them a bit, I know it wasn't my fault they had to wait almost a million years for me, but I wanted to do my best to make up for it.

"Better now that you're back, my liege," He answered in his usual cold voice but he showed me a smile. I'm glad he smiled, he has as I mentioned a hard time showing emotions and him smiling means he is truly happy.

I talked with Seb for almost an hour before we headed back up to ground level and awaited my other guardians.

The first one to arrive was Asea, she looked like any other elf, except she had unique white hair. She didn't have that when I created her, but I could sense in here that it was due to her age. She was eternal but after a long time, her once green hair started turning white, and now it was completely white.

She was what many would say, and ethereal beauty, if she existed on Earth, I truly believe every single human would think she was the hottest, sexiest, or most beautiful woman alive. She was tall and slim, like most elves, but she had an aura of authority around her that most elves lacked. She was was a bit over 6"(185 cm) tall and had eyes like mine, green and slightly glowing.

She walked up to me and hugged me, tightly, and I hugged her back. I could feel her shedding a few tears, and I knew that she didn't want the elves that had followed her here to see it, so I just did what I could and moved my arm and slowly pet her back as we hugged.

Shortly after everyone heard a wolf's howl and turned towards the sound. Asea took this time to wipe her tears and let me go and took her place behind me.

The wolf came towards me at a speed that many would deem impossible. The wolf was huge, taller than any two-story house I'd seen on Earth and it had a majestic silver fur. This was Mythi, the Guardian of the Forest. She approached me and with every step she took she got smaller and smaller until she was slightly shorter than me as she stood in front of me. I walked up to her and hugged her head and pet her fur. Her fur was amazing, unlike anything I'd felt before.

No words were spoken, as she rarely did. She could not speak, but she had telepathy. Everyone could see out next guest, a massive green dragon was flying towards us in the distance. Mythi took her place behind me, next to Asea. As the dragon was about to land it transformed into a humanoid. A dragon can turn into a humanoid, but will rarely have human form. He looked like a lizardman, but the scales on his body was clearly that of a dragon. He took his right hand on his breast and gave me a bow.

With everyone gathered, we went up to the meeting room inside Yggdrasil. I wanted information and they were the best to provide it.

"Let me start by saying, I'm sorry for leaving. It was not by choice." I started the meeting. I could see them all wanting to say something, but I put my hand up as a sign to let me continue.

"Back then, I had restrictions and could not visit very often. Even back then I wanted nothing but to live here with everyone, but that was impossible for me then." I decided to bullshit myself through this somehow. I will not tell them the truth, about me being a human once. I'll give them a version of what happened, with some truths.

"You see, the old world had very powerful gods. I was weak compared to them (GMs) and I could not use my full power due to the restrictions they put on me. Even Ynas was cursed by them because they deemed you too dangerous otherwise." I said as I looked towards Ynas, the Guardian of the Domain. They all looked angry, even Seb frowned.

"I had heard rumors from the god-realm. (Forums, online) That these gods were about the destroy the world (shut down the game) because they didn't like the way it had been developed. With it, all of you would have died." I said as I looked at all of them.

"I had planned for this day and saved up all the power I could and at the day the world was going to be destroyed, I forcefully removed the seal they put on me and used all the power I could to send you away, somewhere beyond their control. I tried to follow as well, but these beings noticed my broken seal and attacked me before I could follow you." I told them this complete bullshit story without hesitation. They don't need to know the truth.

"I fought them for many years, even I don't know for how long. I didn't stand a chance against them all and had to resort to hit and run tactics. But I managed to get help. The other gods that had seals managed to break them due to my fight with them and they all joined me in the fight. We still didn't win and we had to retreat. That's when The god of time out of nowhere grabbed my arm and told me to survive." I said, looking a bit sad at the notion of losing a comrade.

"That's when I woke up in the woods here. It took me so long to get here because I took the time to let every sight in the woods take me. You see, the world was destroyed, not by them, but by our fight and It's been so long since I saw even a single tree." I said as I looked out one of the windows, towards the forest.

They all looked at me with different expressions, but all of them believed me. Lilias was always a sensitive child, she was crying, a lot. Asea looked at me with slight pity and sadness. Mythi growled in anger and frustration that she couldn't help. Ynas also growled and his eyes were almost burning in fury. Seb looked calm, but I could feel his anger. He was furious. It might have been a mistake to make such an over the top story, but now its already done.

"As soon as I arrived here, I could feel it. My unrestrained power. I can tell without a doubt that my power is hundreds of times more than that of the old world." I said, and they all looked at me with shock, they thought I was powerful before, but now I could destroy this planet if I wished. I could sense it.

"Ynas!" I said and stood up to look at him, but that failed a bit as the table we were sitting at reached my neck, so I looked tiny. But I kept my resolve, I can't look weak now. He sensed my seriousness and stood up himself and looked at me.

I raised my hand and put my powers around him and released his curse. He looked at me shocked and looked like he was about to cry before he gave me a hard bow.

"Thanks! Thanks!" He said, even though his face was almost on the table, I could see his huge smile.

The curse did more than just lower his attributes. It made him sterile, he had constant pain and could not use his full magical ability. He had mostly used his breath and physical attacks until now. His power had more than triples at this point and he could finally do what almost every living being strives towards, reproduce.

I had ordered them all back to their positions after I got their reports. The demons are pathetically scared of the guardians. They hide and only strike when they know the guardians are not close enough. They kill a few elves and then run away. Due to their original settings, they were not allowed to leave the domain, so they have not taken the fight beyond my domain. I lifted that restriction on them, I would love to see the faces of those who try to mess with them now.

I was not very surprised to know that all the guardians knew of Seb, it had been a very, very long time, so of course, he had left the underground at some point.

According to the information I got, my domain is in the corner of the largest continent in this world. There are three big continents, but the one my Domain is on is the biggest by far and my domain is located on the southern part of the continent. On this continent, there are 15 different kingdoms or empires. Up north are a few monster tribes, such as orcs, trolls, and goblins, to the east is the demon stronghold. I say stronghold as they are apparently planning a hostile take over of the entire continent, they currently dominate one of the other big continents and have their eyes set on this one next. This continent, by the way, is around four times bigger than America back on Earth. The other continents are around the size of Europe.

My domain is almost one-third of this continent, humans want the land to develop more villages and cities as their population is increasing with every year that passes. There are one human empire and two smaller kingdoms close to my domain, the two kingdoms have apparently been friendly with my people and are actually trading with each other. The Empire has tried to force themselves in, but have been stopped by the elven warriors and if necessary, the guardians.

They have noticed that they don't strike back, due to them not leaving the forest (my domain) and have become arrogant, thinking they can't leave. This is true for the guardians, but not the elves. I gave the elves free will, they can do whatever they want, but they are obviously not free from consequences. But most have decided to stay within the realm. The elven villages and cities closer to the kingdoms however have a good relationship with the humans there, some elves even found human partners and actually live in the human cities and some humans live in the villages with their partners.

I also heard that the underworld of both kingdoms and the empire are dealing with slavery and are trying very hard to get their hands on elves, so far not many have been taken, and those that have got rescued shortly after or committed suicide to avoid bringing shame to their people. This information made me angry, I think I need to suppress some of my emotions because when I heard this the entire domain felt my anger. Every animal in my domain got angry, every elf felt my anger and even the few mythical creatures that had apparently made the forest their home could feel my anger.

It only lasted for a few seconds before I suppressed it. But I ordered the guardians to take out anyone who tried to take my people from their home. I did have to order Ynas to not leave my domain though, as a dragon he can easily get angry and would probably wipe out an entire city if he knew a kidnapped elf had been brought there.

Asea and Mythi were much smarter and I was glad to hear that they were great partners when fighting. They had trained together to fight any stronger enemies. Though they have never fought any stronger enemies, they did train with Ynas and were able to beat him when working together. Their teamwork was outstanding. Now, however, with the curse lifted on Ynas, they would not stand a chance.

I have decided to get Seb with me as my personal butler/bodyguard and travel to all the elven cities and villages to let them know that I'm back, even though they might have already heard, but I love all my people and will show them I do. I even see the humans that live in my domain as my people, and I see forward to talking to some of them.

That's why I was now in a carriage made from the bark of Yggdrasil, on my way to the other settlements. When I'm done visiting everyone, I will visit the kingdoms before finally, going to the foolish empire. I'm not foolish enough to destroy the entire empire though, the civilians and even most soldiers are just following orders or just trying to live their life. But the higher-ups need a good spanking.

And the Underworld... they will feel my wrath!
