"I don't know....." She trailed off.
"Okay then, can you tell me why you were near that shopping district? Is that where you last saw your dad?"
"No." She shook her head.
"So your saying that you've been alone even before you entered that district?"
"Mhn."
'The hell, she's been alone that entire time? I'm surprised that she hasn't panicked or cried about it.' I thought in my head.
"Well then did you know what district that was?"
"Yes, it's the one that sells jewelries."
"Then why did you enter it? To get help?"
"No, to buy one." Once again she shook her head.
"You.... were trying to buy a jewelry? Buy you don't have any money on you." I asked, taken aback by what she said, no one would expect a lost child to buy jewelry.
"Using this." She held out her hand as a gold bar appeared on it.
"Wha--" I was surprised seeing the gold bar, that and the fact that it just appeared out of nowhere.
I haven't heard of someone awakening an ability in their childhood, it was already proven that it's not possible for a child to awaken their ability, at best they would just have a little bit of it's effects.
"Hold on can you use your ability already?" I asked incredulously.
"Umm what do you mean by that?" She cutely put a finger on her chin as her eyes was filled with confusion.
"You know like your ability that you receive from your past life."
"I'm sorry but I don't know what your talking about." She slowly shook her head.
'She doesn't know about it? How bad of a father is her dad for a child to not even know something that children younger than her already know?' I asked in my head, my eyebrows furrowing deeper.
"It's okay, you don't have to feel sorry. But you were trying to buy jewelry with a gold bar?"
"Yeah? Is it wrong to?" She made the gold bar disappear as she cutely asked.
'No wonder you were about to be kidnapped, you were like a walking money bag.' I thought bitterly in my head.
"Did I say something wrong?" Mystiliya asked concerned.
"Nothing, say where did you get that gold bar?"
"I made it."
"Huh?"
"Can you repeat that again?"
"I made it."
'What? She can make them? Surely she's kidding right?' I was bewildered at this point by this child.
She could be lying so in order to find out I asked.
"Can you show me?"
"Mn." She lightly nodded as she held out her hand. Colorful winds started to go on top of it before forming a gold bar.
I stared at the gold bar with my mouth agape and my eyes wide. She just created a gold bar out of nowhere.
"Can I have a look at it?" I asked.
"Sure." She stretched out her hand that had the gold bar in it to me and I took it.
I wasn't any gold expert so I just looked at it closely before setting it down.
"I'm sorry Mystiliya but give me a time to organize my thoughts will you?"
"Did I do something wrong?"
"No no no, you didn't it's just that you... Surprised me, I just need to for my thoughts."
"Okay." Mysiliya said as she resumed playing on the tablet I gave her.
A minute later, a knock was heard on the door.
"Come in."
My secretary came in with a tray of food for me and Mystiliya, he gave us our respective food with my milktea and water.
"Thank you, Horin you can resume on your lunch now." My secretary nodded and left us alone again.
I put the straw on my milktea and was just about to eat my wanton when I felt a stare, looking up I saw Mystiliya cutely pouting at me.
I looked at her plate to see broccoli with soup and something that looked like fried chicken but flattened.
Knowing full well why she was looking at me like that I said to her.
"Finish your food first then I'll give you some of mine."
She stopped pouting and started eating, I held the chopsticks in my hand as I started eating as well.
