CH.EX Character POV

-Akira's POV-

My name's Yukishiro Akira, I'm from a clan called snow wolf. My tribe is a peaceful clan together with a snowcat clan. I'm living happily and have a friend close to my age called Ichie, She's from the snowcat clan and we always spent our time together. We both thought that our lives would continue like this peaceful and happy. But it all changes when that demon arrived.

At first, the demon known as Gnome was being welcomed warmly by the village. He's helping us using his golems which lessen our chore by a lot. We thought that he came with peace to help our village. But on that night it happens.

"For the last time, our tribe wouldn't be joining your cause. We didn't want to battle the winter beast." The head of the snow wolf (my father) told him. In the room, there are only 5 people, Me and my dad, Ichie and her father (Head of the snowcat), and finally Gnome.

"So this is your choice." The gnome said dejectedly, I wonder why he said that in a dejected tone. But I just shrugged. He then waved his hand. For a while the room was silent then, Scream started to be heard. We then rush out to see that our village was being attacked by Gnome's Golems.

Seeing the scene me and Ichie wad rooted in place, My father then roared and started to attack gnome while Ichie's Dad brings us out to the outskirt of the village.

"Remember to keep on running and don't look back." He said.

Ichie then sobbed and said, "What about ... you dad what ... will happen ?" She said between sobs. I was also sobbing as I felt that we could never come back to this village.

He smiled and pat us in our head, "I had duties to do, Keep on living and always remember that we always live in your heart." He said while he places his paws on top of our chest.

He then turned back, I could saw tears fell from his cheeks but he kept on moving. I then looked at Ichie and we ran together. After a few minutes of running we then finally looks back only to see smokes flying in the air. We broke down crying as we know that the village had been destroyed, our feeling was in a mess but I know that we needed to run far away from the village so I pulled Ichie's hand and brought her with me.

We had run for hours and was extremely exhausted we then decided to rest for a while. But then dozens of golems started chasing us left with no choice Ichie pulled my hand and ran towards a certain direction. At first, I was hesitant, but she convinces me that we would be fine and this is a better choice anyway. So I just followed her but then after a while, we got surrounded and with no chances of escape but a blur started taking down the golems it was so fast that we couldn't see it.

But I was exhausted so I fell conscious when I saw the last golem died. The next thing I know that we're inside a warm hut, I thought that it was a nightmare but seeing around I realizes that it's not but seeing Ichie comfort me makes me feel better thus I didn't break down in tears.

We then meet our savior who's the beast of winter who calls himself a species called humans and was named Fuyuki Shiro, he then gives us food and asked us what happens to us. We were hesitant but he didn't push us and waited for us to tell him about what happened. After some discussion together we decided to tell him what happened. Maybe he would help us to avenge our people.

To my surprise, he agreed and he even wanted to train us but in exchange, we need to be his familiar/companion. Seeing no disadvantage in doing so I and Ichie did it. We then started our training, at first it was hard as we kept on fainting from exhaustion every single day but over time we got used to it we even got stronger, we also had chosen our weapons and creates a fighting style with it. I chose the lance as I felt some strange connection to the weapon as if I can use it to do anything.

Slowly we started to look after him as a brother figure and a family to us. We're happy and slowly started to forget about avenging our clans. But then the golems started marching towards our home. I and Ichie were mad but when we saw the emotion in Shiro's eyes it was overwhelming, his eyes who's usually serene and calm was filled with rage and anger. We wondered what he had been through but refrain from asking and ask for permission to deal with the golems.

At first, we fought them easily but because of their sheer number we got tired fast and was overwhelmed, Shiro then came and help us he even defeat the Gnome. We're happy and we're excited to be together with him without any obstruction. But then Gnome teleported us to the Autumn island there we found out that we're weak, and when we saw Iris who's Autumn companion we felt helpless and afraid but Shiro came and comforted us and told us to keep an eye towards Iris in case she did something.

Shiro managed to defeat Autumn but needed to flee, we then escaped back to winter island. When we arrive, I remember the feeling on Autumn island I felt useless and helpless, just like when the golems attacked our village. Just remembering it makes me angry but that's in the past. Right now, I needed strength and power to protect the people I care about, Shiro, Ichie and the place we called home.

I saw Shiro coming towards us he asked us if we wanted to go with him to the limitless peak to train. At first, I was a bit hesitant as I heard stories about that mountain. But with my new goal, I needed to step up my game and get stronger fast. I accepted and Ichie also accepted. I saw it in her eyes a change in demeanor which she didn't have when she's the happy go, lucky girl. What I saw is a girl who will go through any lengths for her current family, and I also agreed with her.

'This time I wouldn't let my family be destroyed again. Never again I will suffer through the same as I did in the past. I would do everything to ensure that my precious ones save.' I thought
