Mid Level: Third World, A Protagonist With an Evil System

"I'm going to miss having Kellan, Kyln, and Karimir."

Leon sighs as he stands in the center of the orbs of worlds. He then pulls up the game screen. There was another document in the storage space. He opened up the document screen and looked at the new information given.

[ The creator of worlds has no consciousness or will. He just creates worlds. ] 

"That's it?"

'Yeah. Do you want to transfer to the next world or rest?'

"Ughhh, fine. Let's go to the next world. It's not like I can do anything here."

'Beginning search…World found….Transferring soul in…3…2…1….0'

Leon felt the familiar dizziness. Opening his eyes, he was on a small single mattress. The curtains on one side were pulled all the way and the other side was the wall. He heard soft chatting, telling him that he wasn't alone in the room.

'Do you want to view the world mission?'

'Yes.'

[ Mission:

The protagonist of this world is Elliot. One day he gained an evil system that forced him to do tasks which would reward him, slowly turning him into the female gender.

Your task is to change the protagonist's fate (In any way, negative or positive) and steal the world's power from him. 

There are restrictions to your golden finger abilities to match the genre of this world. ]

'That's it?'

'Yep. The more power you get and the closer you are to being an immortal, the less restricted you are with the world's wills. Obviously you can't just pull out a gun from the Player's mall and use it in a martial arts world. You're asking to be found as a foreign soul and ejected from the world. Remember, directly killing the protagonist is not allowed. If you do, the world will reset.'

Leon pulled up the game screen and looked at his current body's identity.

[ River (human)

* Has hard working parents and a caring brother.

* Your brother and you are 2 years apart. You decided to go to the same community college as him.

* Your parents live in a tiny village, far away from the city. 

* Your brother, Darien (24yrs), is on a scholarship at the college. You work multiple jobs to pay for school. Darien had tried to help you pay for school but you refused. Your brother tutors for extra money. He also sends part of the paycheck to your parents.

* You are always working after classes, so your roommates don't bother you or invite you anywhere. You all don't communicate much. Most of your time, when you return to the dorm, is to rest and wash up. ]

'So I'm in a dorm room. Damn it, my identity has a super poor background again. Ugh.'

'You can use the Player Shop. Exchange your Gems or Crystals for this world's currency.'

'Oh! Nice! Goodbye poorness. Hello, riches.'

Leon selected yes. A separate small holographic screen popped up with a warning.

Leon closed the screen and looked at the Player Shop.

'System, can I have you invest in stocks to gain money?'

'Yes, as long as it isn't a big move that the world might notice. You can do whatever you want.'

'Alright. Exchange a crystal for this world's currency and use it on stocks. Put the profit into a new checking account.'

'Ding! You have exchanged five crystals for 5k$. How much do you want to invest?'

'The whole thing. I still have some money from the original's work pay. Send a few messages using my phone and tell my bosses I quit. Transfer the last paycheck to my new account.'

'Done. Anything else?'

'No, I'm good for now. Let's go meet my dorm mates.'

Leon will now be called River. He pulled open the curtains of the bunk bed. Looking around the room, he observed his new setting. He has never gone to college or lived in the dorms in his original world. Each bunk bed had a bed with ladders to climb into, a desk and chair under, as well as a plain wooden closet. There were four sets total in the room. Each desk had a laptop or computer set on top. Then there were the doors to the hallway and glass sliding doors on the opposite side, leading to a tiny bathroom that had just a shower head, a drain on the floor, a toilet, and sink. Two dorms shared a bathroom. There was hanging clothing on the long string at the top of the balcony. Then he looked at the three other males in the room. Two of them were huddled together, watching a movie and the other male was on his laptop. Looking like he was studying.

"Hey River. You're awake? Want to watch a movie with Cameron and I?"

"No thanks."

"Alright. Elliot is studying at his desk so try to be quiet."

"Okay."

'Elliot looks like he is in a daze. Not studying…'

'He's talking to his system.'

'Will that system notice you?'

'No. Don't compare me to that rogue system. Such trash, tch.'

'Well…do you know what they're talking about?'

'You want to know?'

'Just curious.'

'I can show you. The conversation will be sent to your mind. And if you want to, you can pull up a screen and watch them when they're not in sight.'

'Cool. I got a real live reality show.'

River then listened to what the other system and host were saying.

"Can I decline?"

"Then be turned into a girl right now and here."

"Ugh, why me?! I'm a guy!"

"As a goddess training system, it is my task to make you the perfect female. I already bound with your soul so we're in this together. Forever."

"So I have no choice…"

"You have the choice of turning into a girl slowly or right now."

"..."

"Failing to accept the tasks within 30 sec will immediately turn you into a female. In 1, 2, 3,...,26, 27."

"Fine! I accept the task! Tell me what I have to do?!"

"Pretend to be a girl and flirt with 10 men. They must believe that you are a female. Can be done online or offline."

'LordKittyCat, you're right. That system is trash.'

River continued to watch them as he went out of the dorm and went to grab some food. River was so focused on the live show, he ran into someone. That person turned around with a fierce glare.

"Watch where you're going next time."

"Ah, I'm sorry."

"Zaiden, don't be mean to my younger brother. Sorry River, he's a grumpy guy."

"It's okay."

River blinked back his tears and looked up at the two men. Zaiden had short black hair and pale brown eyes, similar to a beast with intense yellow eyes. Darien had black hair and dark brown eyes. 

"Zaiden. This is my brother, River. River, this is Zaiden."

Darien seemed to notice Zaiden staring at River's eyes.

"You two are the same. Having those special colored eyes. River has a cute dusty pink color."

"My dorm mate also has special eye colors."

"Really?"

"Yeah, it's Elliot. He has really light brown eyes that have a purple shine to them."

"Ah. Anyways, what are you doing out so late? Wait, are you going to work?"

"No, I quit my side jobs. I found another job that earns better money."

"You're not doing anything dangerous right?"

"No, I have a talent for cooking so I was recommended to another restaurant. The pay is good and the hours are flexible."

"Really? Okay then. Do you want to come eat with us?"

"Sure! I'll pay this time. Since you always pay for me brother!"

Darien and River talked as they went to the restaurant. Zaiden was silent the whole time and quietly followed them.

"Hello, do you have a reservation?"

"Yes, it's under Zaiden."

"Alright, please follow me."

The receptionist settled us down at a table with four seats. River and Darien sat on one side and Zaiden sat on the other, on the seat facing River.

'Why does it seem like Zaiden has been watching me this whole time?'

'Maybe it's your husband.'

'He looks nothing like my husband!'

'Why not? You have no resemblance to your original appearance in this body.'

'...but I don't feel a pull?'

'Because there's only humans in this world. It's a normal average human world. No supernaturals, no fantasy races, just humans.'

'...then how do I check if it's my husband?'

'Maybe there's a mark or something on his body similar to the other bodies of your husband.'

'I can't randomly ask him to strip for me to see!'

'Your problem.'

The three of them ordered and ate. As they ate, River tried to make conversation with Zaiden, who was still staring at him.

"So, Zaiden. Are you the same age as my brother?"

"Un."

"Do you have any siblings?"

"..."

Most of the questions were responded with silence or un's.

'I'm 50% sure this is Kayden.'

'Your reason?'

'He talked to me the same way Kayden talked to me when we first got to know each other.'

'Maybe he isn't paying attention and is replying carelessly. He might not be interested in you and your conversations.'

'What do you mean?! I'm offended. I'm a totally interesting person. Plus, he has been staring at me since we met at the dorms.'

'Okay. Then how are you going to be 100% sure that he's Kayden.'

'I don't know…Spend more time with him?'
