[BL] Records of a Peach Blossom's Journey

Leon Wang was 19 years old. Right after graduating high school. He immediately entered the workforce. Shifting from multiple jobs with minimal pay, he struggled to afford his rent. Like any usual day, he left his apartment to go to work. Checking the time on his phone, he walked across the street. He was tired the night before and overslept. Now he was rushing to work. All of a sudden, he heard a blaring honk to his left. The next moment, all his senses were filled with insufferable pain. 'Ah, I haven't checked in for the daily mission today.' He thought in grievance and unwillingness before everything turned dark. * * "LordKittyCat, do me a favor just this one time!" "For the nth time, my name is not LordKittyCat! It's system No. 369!" "Isn't there a beginner protection period for my first world?! Why isn't it working cause your lovely, handsome, and amazing host will soon die any second now!" "You stupid braindead host! You had to let your impulsive thoughts control you and now my internal system is malfunctioning so I can't connect to the main server!" * * Leon Wang was a game addict before his passing. It was just one game that he was obsessed with and it was a trash game that no one played. Like a psychotic cult follower worshiping his god. After gaining consciousness after his death, he met his System, No. 369. With a pet system companion and a golden finger that followed him after his death, he traveled through the universe. Entering one world after another, he realized that there was a mystery to his soul's origin. * * Current Schedule: 2 chapters biweekly. Advised, NO ONE 17 AND UNDER.

High Level: Fourth World, Ara and Ottar's Fates

Ara opened her eyes, she was confused as she had thought her body bursted into bubbles and she should have been absorbed by the god she made the deal with. She sat up from the soft bed and looked around her. There were tall windows and glass doors to the balcony, she tried to turn the handle and the doors were not locked. Walking outside, her eyes widened at the vast land. All around was trees and nature. There were other floating islands and so she assumed the tower she was at was also on a floating island.

"You are awake."

Ara turned to see a tall handsome man with an aloof expression. She had recognised the voice as the god that she made the deal with to turn her tail into human legs. He stood silently at the door as he watched her. His long, loose wavy brown hair flowed with the wind and his pale leafy eyes gazed at her. Ara felt that the man looked tired within. She felt familiar to the other but she knows that this is their first time meeting in person.

"You must be confused on why I didn't absorb your soul after the breach of our contract."

Ara nodded.

"It was just a whim of mine to do the contract and it is a whim of mine to not absorb your soul. I just don't feel like it at this moment. You are free to do whatever you want within my domain. My room is down the hall if you need me."

Ottar didn't wait for a response and just walked off to his room. Ara stood out on the balcony for a while, taking in what she had just heard. She decided to just take it as is and live comfortably. One day as she was watering the garden, she unconsciously hummed and she realized that she was able to sing and speak again. She then went to the lake nearby and found out that she was able to freely transform into her original body.

Sometimes she would go on a swim and look at the underwater life and other times she'll be tending to the garden and learning to cook different recipes. She never got bored and fully enjoyed her days within the god's domain. Sometimes she would notice Ottar's gaze on her. He was watching her and when she turned her gaze to him, their lines of sight would connect and he would avoid her gaze and leave. One day she noticed the bed was replaced with a pool with soft pillows and cushions. Ottar seemed to notice that she was more comfortable in her original form and switched her sleeping furniture. Ara's heart warmed at the careful thought and actions of the other. She went to the door of the other and knocked but heard no answer.

She didn't bother the other and just said her thanks before going back to her room to sleep for the night. Ottar was inside the room, sitting on a chair out on the balcony of his room. He had heard her knock and her words of gratitude. His heart would speed up whenever he thought and watched her smile. He used his powers to change her room. All life within his domain worships him and he uses that power to support the habitat and realm. It was an infinite cycle of relying on each other to exist. Ottar didn't like to have servants like the other gods. He did things by himself and does not like to rely on others. Days passed peacefully with Ottar periodically gifting and changing things to help Ara be more comfortable living there. She slowly fell deeper and deeper in love with Ottar and it was the same with him.

Today Ara was watering the plants and then she was shocked to see a crack form in the sky. It became bigger and bigger until 3 people came through. Ottar had appeared and subtly wrapped his arm around her waist, showing his possessiveness of her. They looked at the crack and observed the three intruders.

"Umm…is that going to stay like that? Isn't that bad?"

"It'll repair itself."

Ronan asked and Neitos replied without looking at him. Lusca looked with interest around them. Then he saw Ara within Ottar's arms and he made eye contact with the male.

[New! Hidden plot triggered!

> When this world was created. Ara and Ottar drifted from their fated lifeline. One day as Ottar traveled with the humans that worshiped him, he and his people settled down next to the ocean. He was on a boat and then the boat tipped over from a collision. He floated above the water and looked at the flipped boat and the mermaid that had crashed into his boat. He took the unconscious Ara to his little wooden shrine to let her rest and treat her head injury. When Ara woke up, she couldn't remember who or where she was from. So she stayed with Ottar until her memories came back. As Ara spent more time with Ottar, they fell in love with each other.

> One day as Ottar was away with the chief and seer of the tribe, a random male entered the shrine and was enchanted by Ara's beauty. Ara was uncomfortable with the male's gaze and told the other to leave. The male got made and insulted her as he tried to force himself on her. She pushed him away hard and fell back into a sharp corner. Ottar was returning to his shrine when he heard Ara's pained cry. He rushed inside to see Ara bleeding out from her head and he checked her breath. She was gone forever. Enraged, he killed the greedy and unruly male and destroyed the world.

> That was the first time the world had reset itself. Like this life line, Ara became the protagonist that should have gotten together with a human. And Ottar is the god that gave her legs. But when Ottar had absorbed her soul, he went mad from regaining his memories of their life from the first lifeline. Once again, Ottar destroyed the world and it was reset again. This is the third life line and this time things were changed from the beginning. Lusca should have died when he got kidnapped by hunters in this life but then the host entered his body and changed the ending of the original. ]

'I was involved and changed everything?!'

'Yep. It all turned out well, right?'

'I meant, yeah but… Hmm, return their memories of all lifelines.'

'...why? Ottar didn't absorb Ara's soul this time so everything is fine.'

'It's the what ifs. Things could always happen. If they had their memories, they'd appreciate the chance they had gotten this time to be together. So do it, please.'

'Alright. Returning memories in 3…2…1…done.'

Lusca watched as the pair flinched when they blinked. They were confused and then they looked at each other. There were mixed emotions within their eyes. Relief, dread, fear, shock, and many more. Lusca let them have their moment for a minute before opening his mouth.

"Ara, you silly sister of mine! I have been searching for you for years!"

Ara jolted in shock and looked over to Lusca.

"Big brother??!!"
