259. Bubble

Charon was on his way back from their little meeting. After showering in his abode, he was driven to an imposing building, namely his workplace.

The little humans around him bowed as he entered, averting their eyes in fear. Their reactions tickled a smirk out of him.

On the other side of the building were private suites for the elite staff to reside in, should work pile up. Charon decisively went to his suite, opening the door, he saw a man sitting on the couch, way more delicate than his own body was.

Charon could clearly see the man flinch when he entered, although he was trying to cover it up. Tilting his head, he stared at him.

"How was it?" 

The man straightened up and answered,

"It...is...it is done."

"Straight answers, no stammering." Charon tilted his head further, like a snake playing with prey.

"It is done." The man wanted nothing more than to clearly avert his eyes, but was unable to do so.
