While speaking to Jace, Lance discovered a few things. For example, he already knew about the creators veiling their powers with the life forces; besides this information coming from Paige. 

However, he didn't remember getting it from her. He just knew. And like this, it was with other things too. But Paige, being a real transmigrator, had no idea.
