"Did Natasha react?" Jace asked Lance.

"No." The other answered.

"So we who were 'reborn' didn't feel anything. We have to see if Jane and Terrence had symptoms." Jace propped his arms on his thighs and buried his head in his hands. He never regretted anything as much as what he had done today.

"It should be fine, or he would have mentioned it." Lance looked down and held Paige's hand, who sat beside him. He shouldn't have left them alone. It wasn't a shame for Maria Pretsch to die. But if the influence was lifted on every person, even if Eno found a way to placate Juno, there would surely be consequences no one could fathom as yet.

Paige looked at the landscape outside the car.

"You weren't influenced? Then how were you 'reborn'?" She asked Jace.

Lance explained the thing with the implants to her. 

She nodded and turned to look back outside.
