Prelude

It was midnight- a partial eclipse.

Within the Dakhla Oasis, two men were present.

One on the ground, bleeding. The other, holding on to a piece of stone, pulled by some unknown force.

"Give it up," the man said, his tone tired and annoyed by the latter's persistence.

"Even if you call her here, she would've already been too late. Your demise is at hand."

The man's voice showed no sign of kindness or mercy towards him. Only the mere hopelessness and anguish; culminated into a man who brings utter despair.

The other tried pulling himself more, his teeth gritting as he groaned in anger. However, the force pulling him towards "it" is far superior to his persistent struggle. Indeed, there is no hope for him to escape on his own.

"Do not make me repeat myself," the man said. His annoyance turned into frustration.

"Libet's Delay's power traps someone in an unending hierarchical interstice. Soon, your powers will be rendered useless against it."

The force grew worse and worse, the stone crumbling by its sheer intensity. His body pulled into the uncountably infinite space; his screams for her died just as instantly as his hope for winning was.

This is a story of people caught in the abyss.

They are governed by the strings of fate, having no will of their own. The future they once had is forever taken from them, fighting what seems to be a hopeless battle.

Let us follow the story of one boy- a boy caught in the crossfire. His name is Aido Harpocrates, a man whose ambition is something he still wishes to find. Seeking something out of his mundane life, he finds himself in the world of criminals.
