Transformation powers are trash and just an easy writing tool to avoid being creative. Other than that story has potential, if you don't mind that stuff then you'll probably like the story. so give it a try before judging. Something about transformations and disguises that sucks out any excitement, risk, suspense or immersion from the story and myself as the reader. it walking around is a woman just bores me and I find myself skipping paragraphs until its back to looking like itsself.

So... are u against transformation specifically or any kind of disguise? Cause honestly, it's basically all the same if its a ilusion, technique, mask, transformation etc. Just changes how its found out if it happens. Just asking cause it seems a too personal take as I'm not rly seeing how it makes any part of the story "trash" or "lazy" as it's not rly used for anything other than not scaring others with it's original look.
I've read enough fanfics to be sick of it. if it was used in an original way maybe I'd change my mind but it hasn't been original in years. this story uses it the same way every other one does. its a good story outside this but seeing another being hiding who it is for essentially just delaying the reveal. there could of been other ways, more creative ways, to integrate pokemon and the worlds beings but the obvious go to was transformation. it's not wrong its just like "Oh, this again? for the millionth time."
