well. i'll never understand stories idolising utterly arrogant bastages who ditch their kids onto others and then come back looking for them, but here's hoping author will make it right

slower-paced exploration of the iffy situation from all angles. writing itself felt a bit stiff, but that's probably just my preferences :)
