I feel like this sort of Fanon is because people just take some of the poor characterization in early Naruto too far. I doubt Kishimoto meant to portray Hiruzen as incompetent or even evil, it was just that he didn't consider some of the small, but significant details like how Naruto's status and how the Third acted would seem, all taken together. I like to call it the Dumbledore Effect.
I think it is a way around a law. Apparently reincarnation is illegal in China. "On August 3, 2007, China's State Administration for Religious Affairs issued a decree that all the reincarnations of tulkus of Tibetan Buddhism must get government approval, otherwise they are "illegal or invalid"."
Poor Orochimaru, there is only so much you can do. Nawaki just ran ahead, and bunny hopped onto a land-mine. Survival instincts of a suicidal lemming can only be countered so much.
Firefly is crazy fun. Especially with Divergent Universe to try out. I lost both 50/50s (once before getting Firefly to Himeko, and then to Bronya E2 before getting Ruan Mei). Not my best showing Gacha wise, but I am still trying for E1 Firefly or a guarantee for Jiaoqiu.
What happened to this story? It went downhill so fast. The whole Yin Chakra split is the stupidest thing I've seen in a while. It worked on Kurama because he was a beast made of Chakra and then promptly sealed. The same result for a human is nonsensical. Still, it is a good translation.
I guess no one has ever accused the Death Eaters of being intelligent for a reason.
What is this from?
I think it was way later that Dumbles got the stone right? Granted, Dumbledore knows about the Horcruxes for sure much earlier but in the canon storyline he got that deadly curse that was killing him (likely around the sixth year considering how lethal it was).
Doesn't this only stop the petrification part of the eyes? Does it also work on the whole "look into the eye directly, you die" part?
This is strangely funny. I look forward to seeing where this goes, lol.
I kind of get it, even if it is ridiculously naive (considering the name of the chapter is 'False Peace'). If they fail their mission, then conflict erupts between Nova and the Kree which causes myriad deaths all to save a single life. From that viewpoint I get it, but even then this is a really callous world-view to have, to not even really have doubts about NOT saving someone in need.
Huh, nice to see another Translation for this. I think someone started one a while back but it stopped updating a little bit past the Beerus Battle.
The Kyuubi's Chakra isn't normally flowing throw Kushina though. Wasn't Naruto's seal a unique one that was designed to eventually harness the Kyuubi's power? I don't think the former hosts had such a seal which means that the Kyuubi's chakra doesn't interfere that much.
Considering Obito's own scoring, it seems pretty fair. During the Fourth Ninja War, Minato also had gained KCM and the advantages, which made him way more busted. That and potential doesn't mean everything, how that potential is actualized is what matters.
Is it the exact same as this one? The author is a Translator, so it might be someone else translating the same work. Probably worth looking into, even if there isn't much the Author can do about it (fanfiction is already a sketchy area for copy-right and translations doubly so).
I like the concision. So many fics just give the stupidest backstory about the 'world's greatest assassin' that has a stupid name. One fic even had some self-proclaimed 'genius' try to make a panacea by combining a bunch of deadly diseases and injecting himself and then, surprise, dying. This is a very nice start and a quality translation.
Sakura got done so dirty. She had a great fight with Sasori and then it was like Kishimoto decided, that is enough focusing on Sakura. For ever. Then her main schtick, healing, got power-crept by freaking Naruto.
