if he tells them his quirk it will likely change all of the story beats from the main show, moreover he will be labeled a villain and be studied on, plus you don't want all might saying "it must be all for one, or this other guy with like the same quirk". IDK I see other fanfics revealing that izuku has ultimate power and is god because of his quirk but they don't think people will freak out I just don't want to introduce a super powerful person early on.
