Chill man, that was a joke", Wolfe said and added, "Sorry fir pointing my gun at your back like that, Good night", and saying that he turned around to leave. But Luke called him from behind, "Hey!", Wolfe turned around and saw Luke jumped at him, and before he could react, the dagger in Luke's hand had stabbed his heart. Wolfe looked at him unbelievably, with questioning eyes. "Why didn't the drug work on you? I could have killed you in your sleep", he said. Idk if it’s just me but I found this chapter to be very weird. The interaction between them is a bit… stunted? Disconnected? I get that their mindset and conversation would be different, but the way this played out kept breaking my flow when reading, I had to go back and read how and why a sentence or phrase was made/placed in the convo. I like the story. I just found this chapter to be, off in some way (idk).
