The sudden attack by Hus Village and alliance with Fire of Light took Zombo Village by surprise, and the situation quickly deteriorated into a violent conflict. Zombo Village fought valiantly to defend itself, but the combined strength of Hus Village and Lightfire was overwhelming.

Concerns for Zombo Village's security grew, as the alliance between Hus and Fire of Light was a real threat. The leadership of Hus and Fogo da Luz justified the attack as a necessary measure to protect their interests and resources, but the international community strongly condemned the aggression.
