Although some people in Zombo had doubts about Pedroko's actions during the war, government propaganda portrayed him as a fearless, patriotic hero whose actions helped protect the country and its people. Pedroko's stories became part of popular culture, and many children looked up to him and dreamed of following in his footsteps and becoming courageous and successful leaders like him.

However, not everyone agreed with Pedroko's glorified vision. Some criticized his brutality in war and the way he dealt with his enemies, and pointed out some mistakes made by him during the conflict.

These criticisms, however, were silenced by the authoritarian regime of Zombo Pedroko, which controlled the country's media and education. Anyone who dared to question the official version of the story could be arrested or even eliminated.

Thus, the image of Pedroko as a war hero continued to be propagated, even if this did not completely correspond to the truth. And that image, perpetuated for decades, shaped the culture, politics and identity of Zombo country.
