Chapter 154: Free For All

Throughout the massive barrier, a countless number of sorcerers could be seen. Standing motionlessly. Their eyes were dilated. Intensely focused on one goal. Survival. After all, the weakest beings cling the strongest to life. Even though the majority of sorcerers there were recently awakened by Kenjaku and were far weaker than the experienced sorcerers. 

They had zero intention of giving up. Adrenaline was rushing through their veins, and a gentle breeze was blowing through the barrier, sweeping up pieces of rubble and dust. Until the sound of a loud bell rang out, and hundreds of Kogane's appeared in the sky. 

" Combat is now. Allowed. " 

Instantly, thunderous bangs rippled as a massive free-for-all began, sorcerers randomly punching each other followed by explosions. Stemming from an intense swirl of cursed energy. But throughout the chaos, a figure could be seen, dashing around with several sorcerers chasing after him. 

Mute swiftly spun around flinging a punch that, slammed into a young man's face, shattering his skull. Making his body fly back crashing into a wall. As Mute froze a kick, and grabbed onto the leg, injecting his curse energy into the leg, twisting it. The new sorcerers hadn't fully comprehended their curse techniques making their curse energy sloppy. Letting Mute, easily pierce their bodies with his own curse energy.

Letting him shrink their hearts instantly killing them. For other sorcerers, this was a battle to live. For Mute. This was a battle to farm points. Swiftly, every single sorcerer chasing Mute was killed their bodies littering the ground. As Mute stood motionlessly, staring at a woman through the crowd of battling sorcerers. 

" Did you think I would take my eyes off of you? " A grin appeared on Mute's face, as Maki let out a loud scoff while tightly holding onto her blade. While the sorcerers were chasing Mute, his eyes did not leave Maki for a single second. Mute knew if he had lost sight of Maki, due to her having little to no curse energy. It would be difficult to sense her throughout the massive crowd of sorcerers. 

In truth, Mute was slightly worried about Maki's new blade. Due to the odd curse energy flowing off the blade. It reminded him greatly of Toji's blade. The one still in his collection. Without saying another word to each other, in unison, Maki and Mute dash at each other. Before Maki narrowly blocked a swift punch, which slammed into her forearm. 

Using the momentum she gained from blocking the punch, she twirled her body, slashing her blade at Mute's neck. Mute's eyes tightly locked onto the blade, freezing it in the air. Before slamming a kick into Maki's stomach making her fly back, her sword still in hand. 

" So? The properties of the blade are different from Toji's " Mumbled Mute, he was trying to figure out the ability of the sword. Truthfully, Mute expected the blade to pierce through his curse technique. And was prepared to dodge it, but luckily for Mute, he was able to freeze the blade in its tracks. 

Maki let out a loud grunt, as she walked towards Mute before a sudden barrage of lightning illuminated the sky making her glance up in the sky, to see Kashimo grinning wildly, falling down towards her, tightly holding his staff...

As Kashimo, Maki and Mute engaged each other, on the other side of the battlefield. Shoko could be seen glancing around. Sweat was pouring down her face. She had exhausted a large part of her curse energy from healing several injured sorcerers. But tiredness was the last of Shoko's concerns. When her eyes locked on a young woman, walking around the battlefield aimlessly. 

" Tsumiki Fushiguro? "

A confused look covered Shoko's face, as she swiftly walked towards Tsumiki grabbing onto her wrist. " What are you doing here? You're meant to be in the hospital still." Asked Shoko. Tsumiki could only glance at Shoko, before she spoke in a soft voice. 

" I-I was transported here? I was in the hospital then...POOF. I was here. "

" Well. Follow me. You aren't cut out to be fighting " Responded Shoko.

" O-Of course. "...

Sorry, for the lack of chapters. I have been recently busy. And truthfully, I'm waiting to see how the rest of the Sukuna battle will play out. Before I began writing once again.
