The Sleep Over

Later during the night Kaital asks if we want to watch a movie. "Sure what kind?" I ask. "A scary one of course!" I see Mirasol flinch. "This scaredy cat over here gets really scared! You should see her face during the jumpscares Zeil, it's like she saw a ghost or something." I laugh, "That sounds fine, is that alright with your mira?" "I already don't have a say." "You're right you sure don't! Come guys." We walk up to the kitchen which is empty, the chef and cooks are done for the night so we decide to make popcorn for ourselves. "Mira, where is your popcorn stash?" Mira opens a cabinet and pushes some stuff outta the to reveal a bunch of popcorn bags. We use a bag that's already open and pour it onto the pot. We wait for 10 minutes but it still won't pop. Kaital starts shaking it furiously but it still won't pop. "Zeil, do you have your phone on you?" I pull out my phone to show Kaital. "Can you look up how long it should take for the popcorn to start popping?" I googled it. "It says 10-20 seconds…" "WHAT!" Kaital starts yelling and shaking the pot, "POP POPCORN POP! POP POPCORN POP! I SAID SAID POPPPPP!" It feels as if she's about to throw the pot across the room. "Kaital calm down, maybe it's expired or something." Mira tries to console her. She still won't stop, I start to laugh a little while neither of them are looking. I sneak a small pick of Kaital acting crazy and keep laughing to myself. I signal for Mira to walk over and she looks at my phone. She laughs too. While we are laughing at the picture someone takes my phone from behind. I turn around and Liam is holding my phone and looking at the pics we took of Kaital. She finally gives up on the popcorn and looks at us confused. "What's going on?" "Some friends you have." He said. He turns my phone over to show Kaital and she freaks. "Ugh you guys!" I snatch the phone from him and Kaital starts chasing me and Mira trying to delete the photo. Eventually Kaital grabs my phone because i get too tired to run and she actually just sends it to herself. "That is one nice picture." She says. We all laugh. "I thought, *huff huff* You were trying to delete it." "Delete a beauty like that? Never." "HAHAHAHAHA!" "What are you weirdos doing now?" Liam asks us as we sit on the floor with the pillows from the couch and blankets spreaded around us. "Man shut up liam, you don't need to hang around us because you have no friends!" He goes red. Mira and Kaital start laughing so I laugh with them. After Liam leaves and we calm down Kaital starts the scary movie. There are no scary parts for a while but soon a jump scare comes and me and Mira jump up with a howling scream. "ARGHHHHH!" Kaital falls to the floor laughing. "Hahaha, you're a scaredy cat to Zeilici! Hahahaha!" It goes on like this for the rest of the movie and halfway through all of us are sleeping on the floor with a bunch of pillows and blankets. I never thought so before but I see the other sides of Mira and Kaital. They are nice and kind when you get to know them. I'm excited to be their friend.
