Solomon Muto on Stage!!

What can you say to a guy with half silver hair and half spiky red and black hair that with an expression of total loss mixed with incredulity and disbelief while looking at a stained and old cement wall, in what obviously seems to be an everyday dead end, that you would find in any city of the world?

Simple

Either this guy is an idiot or he is another Zo-"Stop! I haven't become an anime character that only remaining good trait is being an already worn out joke!" I said while stopping my current train of thought; only to sigh while holding back the urge to scream my lungs out for meeting another dead end, in a city that seemed to be overflowed with them "It's my fifteenth one already" I said while hiding my face in my hands not wanting anyone to recognize as a certain someone character or something, though unnecessary in the end since it was Sunday near midday, either the rest of the people were eating a warm meal with their families at home or enjoying their lunch in some restaurants with their friends or family.

You see, for what little was shown of Domino city in the anime, one thing was quite clear, it was a big city, like, really big, I didn't know the exact percentage of its population but, for a reason Kaiba named his over the top tournament Battle city, it was total chaos almost from the very beginning of the tournament, duelist losing and wining here and there in matters of minutes.

It was glorious, magnificent and succulent chaos

It wasn't fair, I always dreamed with going gaga on any poor duelist that would dare to go against my proto Blue Eyes deck when I was a child and I liked to imagine myself participating in the tournament, which I can say, yes I think I would have had a chance but, we are later talking about Marik, disgusting freak, Ishizu, hot Egyptian lady, Odion, he didn't deserve that bro, Rikolino Face, he won period, Kaiba, MHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, and the Pharaoh plus Yugi, Heart of the cards;…yeeeeeeaaaaaah I wouldn't survive beyond my first draw, hands down.

Battle city was a mess, yes, but it was everyone favorite mess, and this coming from someone that grew up with Yu-Gi-Oh! And always stood searching any notice and watching the anime till 5Ds, the best Yu-Gi-Oh! Anime of all, and later the Sasaki Yuya just got an action cardooooo! Shit it well may mean something for some, others would say Meta is better, some will not understand and as for I, well its part of my history, enough said.

Now, would be much to ask for a convenient and kind person to just appear out of nothing and just tell me how to get the fuc—"Young man, are you alright?" I stopped my rant when an elderly voice called to me from behind, I quickly turn around hopping for said elderly to not be some sort of thieve that like to dress like and old man or worse an old lady, in contrast what greeted me, was and elderly man of advanced age that surprisingly walk with a straight back, with both hands behinds his back, in which I assume he was grasping one over the other, dressed with a pair of light green sandals, faded white shorts and a fuchsia Hawaiian shirt, and wearing white framed sun glasses.

Though what stopped me from responding to his question wasn't that he was dressed as particularly perverted but very loved character from a certain manga and anime that changed the world of the shonen for the best, but that I knew who he was a man in his seventies, of short stature, purple colored iris with an already grayed mustache and beard plus a unique spiky gray hair that was tamed thanks to the military green bandana that seemed to be more like something that you wouldn't see taking it off anytime soon, none other than the grandfather of the protagonist and a complete daredevil in his youth, Solomon Muto, Yugi's grandfather, owner of the Kame Game shop and the man that literally promoted a secret cult known as the heart of the cards, or more like the heart of the protagonist plot armor.

*SNAP SNAP*

"What the?!" I exclaimed while looking once again to the man of the hour in person, "Young man, I have been calling you for the last ten minutes, do I need to call your parents so they may pick you up or do I call an ambulance instead?" said Mr Muto while looking in concern at me, or more specifically my skin, it seems that thanks to the shock of interacting for the very first time with one the main cast of the story more importantly, the very same man known for being smart, kind-hearted, funny, silly, loving, resourceful, gentle, and, of course, grandfatherly. Caused me to become another shade of white, for what I could see in my arms, I was almost chalkboard white.

"Wait; there is no need for that Mr…?" I said while moving my hands In front my face in sign of not to pay too much attention to my skin color while at the same time doing like I didn't recognize him at all, though that obviously not the case at all.

"Muto, Solomon Muto young man and you are?" He presented himself while looking at me with kind concerned eyes that made me feel slightly moved knowing that this show of kindness was something natural coming from him, while in my world this shows of kindness would be extremely rare "Asuto Kirihara Mr. Muto, and I am really fine, I just got out from a fever and I have been closed off in my apartment for a week recuperating, but being bedridden for a week was already making me go mad so just, you know, I wanted a little bit of fresh hair" I lied through my teeth's, though I wouldn't know if it's really was a lie or more of an excuse at this point, because I just woke up, and I know nothing regarding my life before I woke up here, besides that I am an orphan, of course, for convenience like any good Isekaied dude, or at least I assumed considering the lack of photographic evidence in my small apartment.

"Young man, I understand how you would feel after finally recovering from being sick but you must remember that even after being cured your body still need to rest, I don't think I need to stress out how truly important that is for your body" He…admonished me, and with said admonishing a current of emotions almost drowned me, uncertainty, conflicted, annoyed, touched, grateful and sad, the last person to admonish me was…dad, but it has been too long since then, far too long.

"Young man, are you alright? Was it something that I said?" I didn't notice at that time, but…I was leaning against wall, either by shock or for support, I wouldn't know, the only thing that caught my attention was a pair of concerned purple eyes looking at me, not with pity, but with a gentleness that I never thought it could be real or so pure, with no malice at all.

"I-I a-am a-alright" the stuttering gave me away, I couldn't control it, I hate it, that a mere show of kindness on a level that I haven't felt in a long long time would affect me so much, after all these years it's still raw "N-No need for an ambulance"

He looked at me, like really looked at me, like he was trying to decipher if what I said was actually directed at him or me, I already knew the answer to that.

"It's pretty obvious that I won't be able to change your mind nor I am going to force you to do something that you don't want, nonetheless I think we should at least call your parents" he said with conviction, there was nothing that would change his mind on the matter and once again I felt touched, that someone has cared so much for me in such a genuine way in a long time ago, but I needed to cut it here or else I was going to blurt out something incredibly stupid or unnecessary in the process, I knew myself the best, it was the best choice "I understand Mr. Muto and thanks for your kindness but my parents passed away a long time ago, now I live alone and no one take care for me except myself" the explanation was maybe a little specific for my taste, but, it gave away the desired result.

"I…see, forgive me young man, it wasn't my plan to be insensitive, I just thought…" Said Mr. Muto while looking at me with sadness but no pity, not at all, just pure sadness "It's okay Mr. Muto I am already accustomed to it, so it's no big deal" I said trying to smile in reassurance, I was already getting better in controlling my mood after my little episode.

"No, young man, that's not good at all!" he said with fervor, shocking me for a moment, causing even for me to take a step back in surprise "One should never said that their accustomed to someone that is not here anymore, especially if that someone used to be so dear to us" he followed with a statement a little hopeful or right for my taste, I wasn't going to call him an hypocrite or to get real, he didn't deserve my vitriol when the only thing he has done for the last fifteen minutes was trying to help me out of pure consideration.

I didn't say anything at what he said; it was preferable to stay silent, unless something that I didn't mean to say would escape from my lips "Very well sonny, its decided!" once again his exclamation caught my already wandering mind, a really annoying thing of mine that followed me to this world, "sonny come with me!" wait what? Apparently my face expressed just what I was thinking because his smile that know was a mix between, kind, playful and jovial, directed at me was a good indicator for him, it proved to be an even better approval since he literally took my hand and started walking towards somewhere, though I had a general idea of where we were going.

"You see, sonny, I really feel bad for what I say, and I understand that there was no way for me to know about you and your parents situation" he said while still grabbing my hand and leading me through a series pathways that I didn't see nor recognized, "But you know, I think, that more than getting lost in this already big city, I thing you just need something to distract yourself with, luckily I was around" he said when we finally got out of the maze I was in and we were in one of the main streets of Domino city.

Once we were out, I released my hand from his grasp, not wanting to be seen like a child that should be guided by the hand, at that and at my rude action he simply smiled at me and motioned me to follow him at which he went at a fairly fast pace, not wanting to keep getting lost and not ignoring a gifted horse in the mouth I started to followed quickly walking at his same pace "I am actually the owner of a very well-known store in these parts of the city" taking a turn to the left, another to the right, and going through a small alley in the process I could distinguish in the distance a small store in the center of what I assumed was a plaza of some sorts.

"And you see sonny, nothing helps to distract you and to make your brain work better than games" he said while we crossed the distance between the alley and the store, and right now standing in front of one the places that I wanted to visit in my impromptu journey across the city, but me and Mr. Muto were while I was gazing at the small store that acted at the same time as the Muto family house "Welcome to my Kame Game store, where you will be able to find games of all kind, and even the rising star Duel Monsters, I got it all" he finished with a laugh while opening the door of the store in a grandiose manner, and it was truth there truly were games of all kind, even some that I didn't know.

"If you want I can play some games with you, we are not open on Sunday but I'll make a little exception today, you know it has been quite the time since I could play some old board games, now then where did I put them?" while he was busy searching for said game I was distracted by something else in one of the latrine of the store, cards, but nor just pack of cards, DM cards ins pristine condition with some of the most game breaking of their era, Black Hole, Raigeki, Mirror Force, Swords of Revealing light, you name it, and the better part, it seems like they were a lot of them.

"Ohohohoho" hearing a particular way of laughing behind me once again a meet him, this time in his own territory, his home and shop, giving a weak smile and pretty sure I was looking quite sheepish at being caught red handed in looking at almost every card I always wanted "So that's it what you like sonny?" the smile that he gave me was one of amusement and of a challenge, and I could feel it in me, to rise up to the challenge, I knew what was going to happen next, I just wanted to hear it from him "How about it sonny? Do you want to have a duel against gramps?" and when he finished his question I didn't hold back my smile at all, I knew what smile I was doing and pretty sure it wasn't something pretty

 "Ok, gramps, LETS DUEL!"

Internet was bad and it was sunday, a combination that i never expected but, not complaining here is the next chapter hope you enjoy in this case we are exploring a little of the flaws of Asuto so hopefully you just dont go a mark him as some stereotype or something we havent even seen a third of what and who he truly is.

And Grampa Muto joins the fight!
