"Let's duel~" Jaden and Dark Magician Girl exclaimed, eager to begin their match. Both started with 4000 life points.

Alexis couldn't help but approach me to gauge my opinion. She was genuinely curious.

"So, who do you think is going to win?" She asked.

With a casual shrug, I replied, "No clue. Don't care." I dropped down, reclining comfortably, still wearing my blindfold. I paid little attention to the surroundings, opting to patiently wait until the duel was over.

Alexis, not bothered by my nonchalant attitude, stayed silent as she watched the duel enjoying the festival right beside me.

After a moment of quiet observation, she couldn't help but ask, "Hey... Gojo, do you not enjoy dueling?"

I gave it some thoughts before responding, "I get it, you take dueling seriously, and that's your thing. But for me, it's just a very old game (at least in this timeline). I prefer to find enjoyment in other things." I couldn't help but let my thoughts wander briefly, contemplating how things might have been different if I was a child. "Maybe if I were a kid again, I would probably..." I mused, leaving the sentence unfinished as I continued to watch the duel, each of us enjoying the festival in our own way.

"I'll be starting first, mmhmmhmmm~," Dark Magician Girl chimed in playfully. With style, she placed her monster card on her duel disk in attack mode.

"I play, Berry Magician Girl!" She announced. The holographic image of the card appeared, showing her a baby spell caster with 400 attack points, Level 1, Earth attribute, and a unique effect." This card allows me to add any Magician Girl card from the deck and to my hand." She continued. The crowd watched with anticipation as the duel between Jaden and the cheerful Dark Magician Girl began.

"Woah. Is this a real Magician Girl Deck?" Murmurs rippled through the crowd as they observed.

"Next, I will be placing two cards face down. Then activating graceful charity~" Dark Magician Girl smiled.

Jaden couldn't help but shiver, recalling the overwhelming Magician deck that Gojo had once played. He wasn't intimidated, though. He was more fired up thanks to his fierce competitive nature kicking in. (plot armor?) Already familiar with the power of that card in a magician deck. However, he didn't let it bother him, focusing on the duel.

With a serene expression, Dark Magician Girl drew her three cards and looked at them with a mix of nostalgia and surprise. She then decided to discard two cards into the graveyard.

"I will pass the turn to you~ Let's see what you can do," Dark Magician Girl playfully stuck out her tongue😝.

"First, I will play Pot of Greed," Jaden immediately declared, activating his card. It allowed him to draw two new cards, increasing his options.

Among the cards he drew was the trusty Winged Kuriboh, ready to protect him in case things took a turn for the worse.

Jaden paused; his eyes fixed on the two cards he had drawn. The other card was the one that Gojo had strongly recommended for him to add to his deck.

(Since Pegasus definitely has some extra hero cards that were secretly stashed or he had forgotten, I can ask if you could buy them off him for cheap.) ~ Gojo's mini flashback with Jaden.

After listening to my advice Jaden had gone to great lengths to buy it by dueling ridiculous amounts of Obelisk students every day and accumulating the necessary Duel Points. It was just four essential cards that I had urged him to get, from what I can remember. As he read the card in his hand, he began to understand their potential in his Hero deck.

With confidence, Jaden proceeded with his next move. "I will be setting one monster face down!" He declared, a subtle smirk playing on his lips.

"And then I will play a fusion card. Fusion Destiny!" Jaden revealed his card as he played on his duel disk showing it to everyone.

As Jaden played the Fusion Destiny card, the crowd's curiosity grew even more intense. Everyone watched with bated breath as the holographic image of his Fusion spell card appeared.

"The what now?" People in the crowd couldn't contain their surprise and confusion. While many were familiar with Jaden's fusion cards, this card was entirely new and unheard of, adding an unexpected twist to the duel.

In the background, I couldn't help but smile, satisfied that Jaden is playing that card against my wife.

"Since I don't have any of the fusion materials in my hand, I can send them to the graveyard from my deck. By sending Destiny HERO - Dasher and Destiny HERO - Denier to the Graveyard, I can Fusion Summon Destiny HERO - Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer!" Jaden declared, as he moved three cards to the graveyard.

The crowd watched in awe as the cards transformed into swirling energy, forming the Fusion Summon of Destiny HERO - Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer, a powerful and impressive monster that now stood before Jaden.

"Wow~" Dark Magician Girl giggled with amusement as she observed the fusion monster's acrobatic movements and stunts.

"Woah, what's that?" Chazz exclaimed; his eyes fixed on the new monster that had appeared on Jaden's field.

"This has to be Jaden's new card that Gojo recommended," Bastion said out loud, his keen observation leading him to this conclusion as he watched Jaden carefully examining the card he had drawn.

Zane nodded in agreement, "Well, let's see what it can do," he added, acknowledging that this new card held great potential if it was Gojo's recommendation.

In my mind, I couldn't help but think, 'Heck, I don't think this card even made an appearance in this anime world before.' That fusion monster could be a real game-changer if used the right way.

Alexis Rhodes, who had been watching the duel closely, couldn't contain her curiosity and excitement. "This must be one of those cards you recommended to him!" she exclaimed; her eyes gleaming with interest.

"Yeah.. Hmmm~ 50/50," I replied to her enthusiasm.

"What?" Alexis asked in surprise.

"Either one of them would win," I casually explained.

"Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer reduces all my opponent's attacks by 200 for each HERO card in my graveyard!" Jaden smiled as he explained the impressive abilities of his card.

"When Destiny HERO - Denier is in the graveyard, and if I have a Destiny HERO monster on the field or in the graveyard, I can special summon him from my graveyard!" Jaden explained excitedly as he specials summon another monster on to the field. 'But I can only use it once,' he thought.

"Hmmm hmmm. Three monsters out on the field in the first turn," Dark Magician Girl smiled, adding with a hint of amusement, 'Just like my cheeky husband over here,' as she observed Jaden's setting up a board.

On Jaden's field, there was one face-down monster, a 1100 ATK monster, and a 2500 ATK Fusion monster, forming a lineup.

"Now, Denier, take down Berry Magician Girl!" Jaden ordered, and his monster charged forward, preparing to enact what is called child abuse.

"Nuh uh~" Dark Magician Girl playfully waved her index finger left and right, suggesting that Jaden's plan might not work as smoothly as he thought.

"Berry Magician's effect activates when she's targeted by an attack or a card effect, I can switch her to Defense Mode and then special summon any Magician Girl from my deck." Dark Magician Girl playfully teased as she swiftly played a card from her deck.

"That doesn't matter because Berry Magician Girl will be destroyed!" Jaden insisted, his words briefly pausing the monster before it continued its charge and successfully destroyed the targeted monster.

As Berry Magician Girl vanished from Dark Magician Girl's field, but a new magician girl showed up to replace her at the last second.

"I special summon the Apple Magician Girl~" Dark Magician Girl announced with a smile, introducing her new magician girl to the duel.

1200 Attack monster -> 1000 attack. (Affected by Phoenix's effect.)

Jaden narrowed his eyes as he focused on this new magician girl and decided to launch an attack with his fusion monster. "Go, Phoenix! Attack the Apple Magician Girl!"

"Nuh uh uh~" Her smile widened as she said that, and in response, Dark Magician Girl revealed a card from her hand. "Here's a little sweet surprise! When my apple magician girl is targeted for an attack, I can special summon Chocolate Magician Girl from my hand!" A new Magician Girl appeared on her field, ready to respond to the incoming attack.

"The attack is then directed to my new magician girl and then lowering your monster's attack by half!" Dark Magician Girl chirped.

Chocolate Magician Girl's 1600 attack -> to 1400 attack vs Destiny HERO Phoenix Destroyer Enforcer 1750 attack.

"That still isn't enough!" Jaden smiled nervously but went along with it, anticipating Dark Magician Girl's move.

"Oh? Shouldn't you know by now? Chocolate Magician Girl's effects activate when it's targeted for an attack." Dark Magician Girl giggled mischievously. "When she is targeted for an attack, I can special summon any spellcaster from the graveyard and then redirect the attack to it, further reducing your monster's attack points by half again!"

"Come on out, Dark Magician Girl~" Dark Magician Girl summoned her iconic card, introducing it to the field and causing the attack to be redirected.

Destiny HERO Phoenix Destroyer Enforcer's attack, which was at 1750 ATK, was reduced to 875 ATK due to the effect of Chocolate Magician Girl. The attack was then directed at Dark Magician Girl.

Jaden, quick to counter, activated Phoenix's special ability. "I activate Phoenix's special ability; by destroying one card on my side of the field, I can then destroy any one card on the field! I will destroy my own monster, Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer, to destroy Dark Magician Girl!" he declared.

With this move, Destiny HERO Phoenix Destroyer Enforcer sacrificed itself to destroy Dark Magician Girl, removing her from the field.

"I activate a monster card from my hand!" Dark Magician Girl swiftly chained her move. "Palladium Oracle Mana!" She revealed Palladium Oracle Mana from her hand, a new monster emerging in response to the destruction of Dark Magician Girl.

Dark Magician Girl, who had just appeared on the field with her signature outfit, closely mirroring the summoner/duelist herself. Was about to perform some girlish activity, but her animation was cut short as she was destroyed by the surging flames.

The moment Destiny HERO Phoenix Destroyer Enforcer activated its special ability, a torrent of intense flames surrounded Dark Magician Girl and himself, rapidly erasing her form in a fiery spectacle.

In her place, a new and powerful presence emerged. Palladium Oracle Mana, a spellcaster with ornate and regal attire, materialized in Dark Magician Girl's stead. She carried herself with an air of authority and command, her staff radiating with potent magical energy.

"When any of my spellcasters is targeted with a card effect, I can special summon her." Dark Magician Girl explained, revealing the unique ability of one of her new ace cards, a gift from her husband.

"Ha ha! This is going to be a problem," Jaden nervously muttered as he assessed the situation he found himself in. This had taken an unexpected turn, and he was feeling the pressure of the continuous challenges from Dark Magician Girl and her powerful lineup of spellcasters.

The crowd, utterly captivated by the duel, couldn't contain their enthusiasm at the back-to-back-to-back actions. Even Chazz and Syrus, who attempted to provide commentary, found themselves swept up in the excitement and were equally surprised by the intense and unpredictable nature of the duel.

"I play two cards face down and end my turn!" Jaden quickly formulated a strategy for his next turn. He had guessed that Dark Magician Girl is at least one or two levels below Gojo. However, this time he was ready for the unexpected. With Winged Kuriboh out on the field, he had basically secured an extra turn should his defenses be breached.

"Draw~" Dark Magician Girl chirped as she drew her card, her eyes flicking between her cards and the current state of the field.

Immediately after she drew the card, Jaden sprang into action.

"Destiny HERO Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer returns from the graveyard when he is destroyed by a card effect or battle on every turn!" Jaden exclaimed. A swirling vortex of energy emerged in the middle of the field, catching everyone off guard as the fusion monster reappeared on Jaden's side during Dark Magician Girl's turn.

The unexpected move added another layer of complexity to the duel, leaving the crowd and even Dark Magician Girl herself surprised by Jaden's monster.

"It can do that?" Zane was utterly taken aback, realizing that this card essentially had immortality, always returning at the start of every turn if not dealt with properly.

"Is there a weakness to that card?" Alexis asked Gojo next to her, her astonishment evident in her voice. She couldn't fathom how a card like this could exist, with the ability to essentially destroy any one card and the crazy part is that it can destroy itself just so it can bring itself back.

"Banishment, possession, or being returned back to the deck," I casually pointed out. 'Man, fuck that card. I remember going against it the first time.'

"Don't just casually say it as if it's nothing!" Alexis pouted, though she hadn't considered those methods. Still, she was secretly surprised at Gojo's quick answer to how he thought of a counter.

"Hahaha! You're pretty good!" Dark Magician Girl shouted in delight. She was genuinely excited to compete against someone tough, a welcome change from the one-sided beatings (Duel monsters) from her husband.

"Well first I reveal my face down trap card! Gozen Match! Each player can only control 1 Attribute of monsters. So take your pick on which monster you want out on the field~" She added.

"I… will activate Phoenix's ability again to destroy itself to destroy that face up trap card!" Jaden grimaced as he watched his monster self-destruct to destroy his opponent's card.

"Now I activate my second face-down card~ Vanity's Emptiness!" Dark Magician Girl playfully announced, revealing her well-thought-out combo to the crowd. She couldn't help but feel a tad annoyed, knowing that she was using this card due to her husband's persistence in adding powerful disruptors to her deck, even though it was undeniably effective.

"This will stop both of us from special summoning," Dark Magician Girl explained, revealing her plan to hinder Jaden's special summoning strategy. It was clear that her husband's strict demands had influenced her deck's composition, even though she never initially wanted this card in it.

"Impressive counters and resistance from both sides," Zane couldn't help but voice his thoughts. The duel had evolved into a display of strategy and counterplay, leaving most spectators in awe of the between these two duelists' skills.

"Now, Palladium Oracle Mana, destroy his Destiny HERO monster!" Dark Magician Girl commanded her powerful spellcaster.

With a graceful and authoritative wave of her staff, Palladium Oracle Mana unleashed a burst of magical energy. The energy formed into a swirling vortex of golden light that swiftly enveloped Destiny HERO - Denier. As the light dissipated, the HERO monster had vanished from the field.

Jaden's life points dwindled from 4000 to 3100, and he couldn't help but sweat as he realized how close he might have come losing if he hadn't prepared that face-down card in advance.

"Now, the rest of my magicians, attack~" Dark Magician Girl chirped confidently.

However, the face-down monster revealed itself to be Winged Kuriboh, much to Jaden's relief. It disappeared shortly after Apple Magician Girl destroyed it, and for this turn only, any battle damage taken by Jaden would be reduced to 0.

"Aw, I will end my turn," Dark Magician Girl declared, concluding her move.

"Whew. I draw!" Jaden happily said with a grin as he drew his card on his turn, ready to continue the exciting duel.

"I normal summon Elemental Hero Wildheart!" He exclaimed and then pressed a button on his duel disk. A warrior monster with 1600 attack monsters appeared and it is unaffected by trap effects.

"Then I activate my trap card, Torrential Tribute! Destroying all monsters on the field except for my Elemental Wildheart," Jaden declared as the powerful trap card triggered, wiping out all the monsters on the field except for his resilient Elemental Hero.

"Huh?" Dark Magician Girl was surprised. Not only did this destroy all monsters on her sides of the field but the trap card also got destroyed because cards were sent to her side of the graveyard therefore destroying vanity's emptiness. This means both duelists can special summon again.

"My monster is unaffected by trap cards. Now you're wide open!" Jaden grinned, taking advantage of his Elemental Hero Wildheart's immunity to trap effects.

Dark Magician Girl who was momentarily surprised let out a giggle and said, "I wouldn't be so sure~." In a surprising turn of events, a new magician emerged. It was Dark Magician Girl once again, this time with an animated expression of her huffing and sticking out her tongue, as if her return were the most natural thing in the world. The crowd went wild as they got to see Dark Magician Girl again, this time for real.

"How the hell did she even get those cards?" "Who cares, it's the Dark Magician Girl!" "WOOOOOOO, my goddess!" The excited voices of the crowd filled the air as fans of Dark Magician Girl cheered for her. She was clearly enjoying the attention, waving back at her adoring supporters.

"Wow, the crowd is definitely rowdy." Jaden blinked a little as he looked around confused but continued.

"Anyways, I'm going to activate my field spell, Skyscraper!" Jaden inserted the card into the designated slot on his duel disk, causing a transformation in the holographic environment around them.

"This field spell gives my Elemental Hero monster 1000 attack points if it is attacking a monster with higher attack points than my monster," Jaden explained, revealing the unique effect of his field spell.

"No way, then that means!" Dark Magician Girl exclaimed, surprised by the change in his monsters' ATK values.

Jaden's monster now had a higher ATK at 2500 compared to Dark Magician Girl's 2000 during damage calculation.

"Wildheart, how about a little slice and dice!" Jaden exclaimed excitedly as he directed his monster to launch an attack, hoping to seize the advantage in the duel. However, unbeknownst to Jaden, Dark Magician Girl had a plan in place, one that could potentially end the game in her favor.

With a mischievous smile, Dark Magician Girl responded, "Not so fast, Jaden. It looks like you underestimated me and my Dark Magician Girl. But it was a good try~" She revealed her two monster cards in her hand.

As the attack animation continued, depicting Wildheart about to strike the Dark Magician Girl on the field, Dark Magician Girl (Duelist) activated her card effects in her hand by temporarily placing it in the duel disk. Two beautiful magician girls with brown skin and purple robes materialized, making a grand entrance before being sent to the graveyard. This spectacle empowered Dark Magician Girl, causing her attack points to rise to 6000.

"By sending Apprentice Illusion Magician to the graveyard, I can add 2000 attack/defense points to my Dark Magician Girl when she's in a battle, and I'm sending two, so~" Dark Magician Girl explained with a sly grin.

"Dark Magician Girl has 6000… attack points?" Jaden was utterly shocked by the sudden power surge. Hell, this attack will end the duel with him losing. No, not yet, he still had that crazy card on his field, which had the potential to turn the tables around.

"I ACTIVATE MY TRAP CARD, TRANSMISSION GEAR!" Jaden exclaimed. The attack animation on wild heart halted and both Dark Magician Girl looked confused.

"The fuck did he just say? What kind of card is that?" I turned my head to look at the duel now. I have never heard of that card.

"I don't know, Gojo. It's my first-time hearing about that card too," Alexis said as she patted my head on her lap. Alexis was very considerate enough to suggest I rest my head on her lap instead of the grass and dirt, which was dirty.  Of course, I gladly accepted the offer. It was much more relaxing, and I was trying to watch her booba jiggle instead of the duel.

"By the way, Alexis, did you know you can't cross your elbows on top of your chest?" I cheekily said trying to catch some views.

Alexis responded with a knowing cold smile. "Oh, I see what you're getting at," she tried elbowing me on my chest as revenge after hearing that.
