Chazz, and Bastion Filler - 14

***

A/N: Short chapter. Feelsbad.

A/N: My basement apartment was flooding due to a possibly pipe issue, specifically the one connected to the washing machine. There's water overflowing from the pipe that connects to the tube which connects the washing machine. Thankfully, it's not sewage or dirty water. This is the second time it's happened this week. I'm not the only one being affected but I do think my neighbors got the sewage or dirty water.

***

Sometime after the defeat of vampire Camula.

The entire team was preoccupied with the thoughts of preparing for the next Shadow Riders and the shadow games, however a distraction soon presented itself. It was…kind of a serious issue.

There was an announcement made to the entire island about a potential change in ownership of Duel Academy Island, and it is after the result of this duel - a duel between Chazz and one of his older brothers.

After hearing the conditions and what was at stake, I was naturally interested in this duel. Chazz gets basically nothing from winning, but if he loses, the ownership of the island goes to Chazz's brother. It really makes you question, what the hell, Kaiba?

Flash Back.

"You heard me right, it's not about the money, it's about the cards. I will only sell you my academy if you prove your worth as a duelist and duel one of my students in battle." That was Seto Fucking Kaiba's response to Slade and Jagger (Chazz's brothers).

~

Naturally, this triggered a series of events. One of them was this.

Gojo POV

A few hours before the announcement happened.

I got a letter about an invitation to some white party? I know I said something about white dragon supremacy but isn't this some actual racism. This shit is recognized as an official club and organization, with a lot of details about being specifically dressed white.

As I read the letters, all I could think was, 'What the fuck am I reading?' You are welcome to join if you follow the teachings of...

'Is this brainwashing magic? What the fuck does light of truth mean?'

The whole thing ended with 'light of truth' and a postscript that said, "If you want to know about the world's impending destruction and how to prevent it, please come join, Gojo!"

As I read the final lines, I rolled my eyes. 'I'm pretty sure I can do a better job than those religious folks.' This shit is already shady because I discovered this letter beneath my door. No one should have known where my room is.

I turned back to look at the cover. 'White society?' The letter details were only short description, vague objectives, and all about white stuff (clothing and behavior expectation), they also gave me some white powder.

This was an instruction to come to this specific destination at a particular time. Naturally, I chose to ignore it. I had no intention of joining a crazy cult promoting alternative racism supremacy and discriminating ranks. That's a complete waste of time, because I am already doing that whenever I want.

Back to the duel.

I didn't think I will be saying this, but Chazz's brothers are both fucking dumb.

Still, I had heard the full details from the chancellor himself about Chazz's older brothers striking an unbelievable deal with Kaiba (Approximately half a billion dollars for duel academy island).

~

Flashback.

Kaiba: "Very well, I accept those conditions. Now leave."

~

It was all on the line in this duel, as Kaiba had made it clear that he would only accept the deal to sell the academy if they won in a duel against one of his students, and he even listened to specific conditions on what Chazz's brother wanted for the duel. And to top it off, the chosen duelist is Chazz. Out of all the people, they had to pick their younger brother. They could have chosen an actual red mob, and then we would've lost this island for sure 💀.

The conditions of the rule states that Chazz isn't allowed to use anything more than 500 attack points monsters. If they win, they get to buy and own the island 💀. What kind of condition is that? No, seriously, how did THEY get Kaiba to open that kind of deal and WASTE his time?

So, when Chazz's brother showed up on the island, they made a big deal about it. To publicly duel their younger brother, and all students are allowed to watch.

Of course, I went to watch this, because I knew what I was getting into by watching this. Seeing how Chazz got the duel spirits rizz on him (It's the low rank ones from the abandoned well). The outcome of this duel was obvious.

Dark Magician Girl was naturally delighted to see the weak duel spirits. She eagerly went out to greet them and offer congratulations for finding a duelist who 'cared' for them. I wasn't so sure if 'care' was the right term. Though it did surprise Chazz because he was seeing Dark Magician Girl duel spirit for the first time, and he was flustered when he saw her.

At the end of the duel, the brothers lost to the fucking Ojamas and some other 0 attack effect monsters 💀. That was fucking wild and hilarious.

Kaiba at his own headquarters.

"Of course, he won, did you really think I would give Duel Academy to those two? They have a lot to learn about world domination, if they don't even know how to duel." Kaiba spoke to one of his employees.

The employee who had informed Kaiba of the result of the duel stepped back after completing his task.

"I've heard Gojo is making quite an appearance and causing a stir, even though he was supposed to be keeping a low profile," A voice chimed in as a figure elegantly walked into the office.

She entered the room with an air of regal elegance, her long, flowing hair cascading down her back, and her attire exuding an aura of mystique. This was Ishizu Ishtar, a woman of grace and wisdom, known for her connection to the ancient Egyptian artifacts and her remarkable insights into destiny and fate.

"It's his choice," Kaiba replied, his tone serious. "As much as I'd love to know how he managed to get his hands on and play Obelisk, we still have a lot more work to do here." He turned to face his wife, wearing a determined expression.

"Indeed, the excavation of the Millennium Items and that project. I'll help make your ambition a reality, my dear." She affirmed with a nod of agreement. She absentmindedly caressed her belly, which was now nurturing new life with a warm smile.

Gojo's POV

It has been almost a week man. It's awfully quiet. No shadow rid—

That was when I glanced at a certain direction and sensed something unusual. It's not magic or anything. Just pure construction was taking place at a distant area of the island, far away from the academy. Initially, I thought it might be some sort of field trip or special event.

'Well, this is a strange sight, right?' I thought to myself as I teleported over to the sky to investigate what was being made.

Slifer, Ra, and Obelisk students all together working and constructing this… battle arena? This is definitely not normal. Seeing students and… is that Crowler? Working on building the coliseum.

[This has to be the work of a shadow rider.] Dark Magician Girl's telepathic voice echoed in my mind.

[Do you think this time it's going to be melee combat instead of card games?] I telepathically asked.

[No! Why would you think that?]

[Isn't that coliseum for?]

[It's for a duel!]

"Yeah, back in my world, it was called for a glorious battle, for honor, a duel to the death," I muttered out loud and sighed.

"I wouldn't have minded fighting that woman in hand-to-hand combat." As I noticed a muscular tanned woman who seemed physically strong in this world.

"But seeing how she is wearing a duel disk, it is not worth my time." I made that comment after observing the students accept envelopes from a ripped, tanned woman. I nodded.

'There seem to be cards within those envelopes,' I noted, my six eyes scanning the contents. 'They're not cursed cards or anything; they appear to be somewhat rare. A Card of Destruction here, Swords of Revealing Light there, and even a Card of Sanctity.' I watched as the students checked their own envelopes with curiosity.

'Wait!? Are they being paid!? Is that really a shadow rider???' My jaw dropped at the sight and thoughts of these people actually getting paid for their labor.

[Are…you going to leave her be?] Dark Magician Girl asked in shock as she picked up on my thoughts about how people in my world were often exploited in their jobs.

[Yeah. She doesn't look like a shadow rider. I seriously doubt this one is capable of shadow games or magic. She is built differently.]

[And besides, Jaden and the others are already making their way to investigate.] I added, casting a glance in the direction of a large group of newcomers.

[Hmmmm.] Dark Magician Girl watched the tanned woman while maintaining her skepticism. After a moment, she nodded, seemingly convinced that given the woman's appearance, she was not capable of such dark magic. But some doubts lingered.

[Are we good to go now, honey? Or do you want to stay and watch? I'll stay with you if you're staying.] I asked as I observed the tiger chasing after Jaden's group as they climbed onto the tower for safety.

[Mmhmm. I'm fine. But I still don't like this plan of yours.] The Dark Magician Girl voiced her worries.

[I've given it some thought, although we are currently focusing on the shadow riders, they are just expendables or even useless. Just like this one. I have a hunch the ones we are after will show up after the sacred beasts are released.] I said as I watched Bastion approach the arena, where he seemed to be impressing the Amazon warrior woman by displaying his decks, and he may have been stripping a little in the process.

[The team losing the keys is just a part of the plan. The only thing we have to do is make sure they don't die.] I also added.

[Using the sacred beast cards as bait. Isn't that still risky?] Dark Magician Girl asked worriedly.

[It's a low-risk, high-reward strategy. All we have to do is assassinate them without being seen. While ensuring they won't have a chance to activate a Duel Disk and initiate a shadow game. And, well you know how fast I can kill people easily.] I reassured the Dark Magician Girl, trying to ease her doubts.

[Is this really considered saving the world? I don't know...] Dark Magician Girl began to question our methods.

[I'll be blunt. It's the most efficient method we have, and it keeps our side from taking any damage. Well, except for maybe Alexis's brother,] I replied.

There were various definitions of saving the world. For instance, preventing tragedy, stopping an ongoing disaster, or eliminating the forces threatening humanity, and more.

[The old man said to save it, and I'm doing just that. In order to save the world, I have to know the cause first. He never explicitly said the three sacred beasts were the ones destroying the world. That's why it's okay to let them out.] I clarified.

After making sure there was no shadow game taking place and hearing that Tania the shadow rider had no intentions of using shadow games for human souls, but instead was seeking a male mate. No, as soon as I heard that, I teleported away expeditiously.

'Good luck, Bastion. Death by snu snu.' (Aggressively fucking)

[What's snu snu?] Dark Magician Girl asked, her curiosity piqued.

[What you've been trying to do to me in my sleep. On top of that, secretly casting a bunch of spells on me. I never bothered stopping you because you seemed to be having a fun time.] I deadpanned at her.

[Ah… Whoops?] Dark Magician Girl blushed, caught red-handed, and she tried to play it off.
