Yoviry's Short Stories

In every story, there is life. And in every life, there is a story. I cannot tell you every story out there, but I'll tell you about the stories I know, see, hear, and fantasize. They may be good. They may be bad. Some may be exciting. Some may be mundane. But one thing is for sure. Life is full of stories, it's what life is all about. =+=+=+=+=+=+= What to expect:  *Tragic stories, happy stories, slice of life, romance, and anything basically. The stories I write in this book are my daily daydreams and if something inspires me. You can also suggest a topic and I'll see if I can write a story about it (Your name will be mentioned it I use your idea on a story.) *There may or may not be lore in some of the stories. Author's note: As a beginner writer, and because English is not my mother tongue, I ask you to be understandin if there are any errors with my story, specially the grammar.  Support me: You can support me by giving me Power Stones! 005_Life is Fun (S-4c)

Title: Life is Fun (S-4c)

'Life is fun.'

That's what I discovered with this short life of mine.

'Life is fun, if you make it fun.'

But life… can also be a prison.

A personal hell.

"Damned boy, stop playing around and study properly! If you don't get a proper fucking job after graduating, I'm the one who'll kill you!" Yelled a muscular middle-aged man with a handsome face.

Such a shame, his looks is gold, but his core is rotten. I sighed.

"Yes, father."

Just like that, I halted cleaning my room and went to open the textbooks I have to "study."

This is boring. It's called wasting time, but what else could I do?

Truth be told, I am smart. I am no genius, but I am smart enough to use my smartness to my advantage.

I already know everything they taught at my elementary school thanks to hardwork and effort.

But I also know that what I did was pointless.

In the first place, I learned all of that stupid knowldege to impress my parents and make them happy, but what did they say in the end?

"So what?"

That was what both my mother and father said. I guess birds of a feather flock together, after all.

Since I am smart enough to learn such a boat-loat of knowledge, I am also smart enough to know that I am nothing but a caged bird in this society.

In this society, a child couldn't possibly overrule his parent's authority. That means, until I grow old enough to be an "adult," I will be at my parent's mercy.

To make matters worse, in this country, parents doing the unthinkable to their children weren't unheard of.

In fact, it happened near damn daily.

That's why, I am smart enough too play my cards right.

I'm smart enough to ensure my safety.

I am smart enough to live long enough to see the truth in the statement of…

"Life… no."

"Living is fun."
