Chapter 38:Games

THIRD POV～

Feeling awkward and standing at the door, Shelly shuffles on her feet before entering the hospital room when neither one of them say anything or even look at her.

 ''How are you feeling''shelly asks trying to feign care but the distaste slips pass her lips.

 Serene looks up at her and grins widely her eyes clouded with mischeav and a vold glint flashes before dissapearing.

 ''Enzo''Serene calls out to Lorenzo softly before gazing at the man who is already starring at her his eyes filled with love and admiration for her.

 ''Baby''Lorenzo replies tightening his hold on her hand and she smiles softly at his care.

 Standing close to the door Shelly watches the intaraction a bitter look on her face as she clenches her fist at her side.

 Undiscribable anger full her lungs and she tries very hard not to yank Serene away from her fiancee,shelly cannot help but wonder why Lorenzo doesn't see her or even show interest in her.

 She is a woman too and his fiancee at that, hurt flashes through her eyes and she moves her eyes and looks at the floor in front of her not daring to look at the sight before her.

 Serene notices her expression and a satisfied look crosses her features before she raises her hand to cup Lorenzo's cheek softly.

 ''I want you to get me my phone it's with the head nurse''Serene tells Lorenzo who furrows his brows in confusion.

 ''Why is your phone with her''He asks her his voice deep and husky.

 ''Oh she needed it for something''Serene says dismissively and Lorenzo nods before walking out of the room but not before shooting shelly a warning gaze.

 The moment the door closes and they are the only ones in the room Shelly's expression changes and hostility takes over her features as she looks at serene her eyes filled with unconcealed envy,hatred and taunt.

 ''I was expecting a funeral''Shelly sneers and walks towards Serene as the words slip from her lips taunting serene who just smiles sweetly at her.

 ''Well,you should wait for yours Miss Agosti'' Serene tells her and her eyes immediately darken a scary chuckle escapes her lips.

 Shelly folds her hands across her chest a hauty expression on her face while she tries very hard not to storm towards Serene and end her.

 Unknowst to her that would be a big mistake from her side as Serene was never a pushover.

 ''Why don't you just die huh,you are nothing but a woman who snatches people's men and a whore''Shelky says and her face twists into a snarl her heated gaze focused on Serene.

 Serene studies the woman before her and listens to every stupid word that escapes her lips.

''Now,now miss Agosti if I were to die that would make our dear Enzo sad''Serene says before gently climbing down from the bed a smirk on her face.she walks towards Shelly and limps slightly before standing before her.

 Proud and tall.

 ''Let me warn you Agosti,the next time you try to kill me make sure you get to finish the job else I'll deal with you''Serene says her voice terrifyingly low and filled with a promise.

 ''About being a whore I am not the one who begs a man to fuck me like a desprate little bitch''Serene spits and Shelly's face immediately goes pale in anger,shock and shame.

 She wonders if Serene truly knows of her begging Lorenzo.

 Angered she raises her hand to strike Serene who stands there starring at her with cold eyes.

 Serene hears the sound of footsteps and knows Lorenzo is about to enter the room.

 unaware and covered by rage Shelly is stunned when Serene suddenly drops herself on the ground with a thud.

 ''Ahh miss Agosti''Serene cries out in feigned hurt and Lorenzo who hears her cries immediately rushes inside the hospital room.

 Seeing Serene on the floor the bandage on her hand showing red his heart tightens and he rushes towards her.

 Picking her up Lorenzo places Serene who winces out in fake pain her hand wounded around his body to hold her closer to her.

 Shelly stands there shocked,mouth agape and thinking of how to explain the truth.

 She hadn't touched Serene who made herself fall but before she can say anything Lorenzo turns to glare at her a murderous intent in his eyes.

 Gulping Shelly tries to move back only to remain rooted in her spot in fear.

 Lorenzo's nostrils flare as rage fils his body at the thoughts of someone hurting his Cara, Wrapping his hand around Shellt's neck he immidiately applies pressure his face livid. 

 ''How fucking dare you hurt her''Lorenzo spits out his hold tightening with each sentence, shelly's eyes widen and her mouh opens while she gasps for air.

 She lifts her hand trying to stop Lorenzo, her face turns red instantly with tears streaming down her eyes.

 Her gaze moves to Serene who rests her body on the bed a mocking smirk on her lips her eyes amused.

 Seeing as the girl will soon faint Serene suddenly holds her hand and lets out a cry.

 Lorenzo quickly pushes Shelly away before rushing to Serene worry marrying his features.

 Shelly lands on the ground gasping for air while her hand moves to hold her neck.

 ''Are you ok baby''Lorenzo asks carefully touching her arm and Serene smiles at him a low chuckle escapes her lips and she nods her head.

 ''Get out''Lorenzo growls out at Shelly who instantly scrabbles and runs out of the room her eyes filled with tears.

 She felt hurt that the man she is going to get married to preffered another and this was the first time she has seen Lorenzo act so Caring.

 She bumps into someone at the door and raises her head to look at the person only for her breath to hitch at the person before her.

 Tall,muscular,faceof a greek god,thin lips, sharp jawline and perfectly carved eyebrows, th blonde of hair of the man swept back in perfection the stubbles kissing his jaw, his blue eyes stared directly at her his orbs emotionless and an emotion swirling deep within them.

 ''Mr Ro-Romano''Shelly Stutters starring at him and the man totally ignores her and turns his head to the little bundle of jaw on his arms.

 The girl a splitting image of her father sits on his hips her hand wrapped around her fathers neck.

 ''Get out of my way''Nathaniel spits out and stretches his hand to open the door.

 Astonished by his behaviour Shelly is not given a chance to comprehend anything before they walked in.

 Gritting her teeth she cannot help but think that Serene is such a slut for all the rich powerful men swarm around her.

 Nathaniel Romano one of the richest bachelor in all of Newyork who is a single father is desired by many but the man seems to not have anytime for woman.

 With a scowl at her failed attempt of making friends with a man from the upper upper class, she juts her chin in confidence before struting out a thought in her head.

 'They'll respect me when I become mrs De Angelo' she thinks before walking out.

 Nathaniel opens the door to the hospital room and instantly his daughter springs out of his hand her arms open wide a wide grin on her face.

 ''Mommy''She calls out a happy expression on her face and Serene's face instantly lights up and she opens her arms for the little girl.

 Serene helps her up the bed and Lorenzo's eyebrows crease in confusion his gaze moving to the door.

 'Did the little girl just call his Cara mother' he wonders and growls when the girl hugs serene which makes Little bella turn.

 ''Becareful she is hurt''Lorenzo says fighting the urge to rip the girl off Serene's body.

 Nathan walks into the room and instantly wrap his hand around Serene admiration and love in his eyes.

 Lorenzo stands there puzzled by their interaction and hurt for how close serene is to the others.
