Chapter 65: Love is in the Air~

3rd Pov

Donghai, the Capital of the Republic of Zhongguo, a city that carries with it hundreds of years of glorious history, was the seat of power of several dynasties in the past, before finally the republican coup that broke the Zhongguo Empire that was corrupt to the core, however, with this it brought an Era of Warlordism to this nation, with Donghai and only some parts of Zhongguo still being effectively controlled by the republican government.

At Donghai Airport, we can see our protagonist's plane landing, with him and Tanya getting off, being followed by at least 8 Imperial Guards as escort, with a man waiting for them, with the man having 2 bodyguards.

The man bows to Ferdinand respectfully as he begins to speak.

"Your Imperial Highness Ferdinand von Rotenburg, welcome to the Republic of Zhongguo, I am Shen Gengxin, sent on behalf of the President's government to welcome you," said the man now known as Shen Gengxin while still bowing to Ferdinand before standing up, with him speaking Dacian almost perfectly.

Ferdinand nodded and also bowed in respect to the man before offering a handshake, which Gengxin accepted with pleasure. After an exchange of words between the two, Ferdinand and Tanya went to their car, with the car starting and starting to go along with Gengxin's car towards where President Dong Guanting would be waiting.

"You must have plans for Zhongguo, correct?" Tanya asked seriously while looking out the window, with her hand always near her skirt, where she had secretly kept a pistol, after Edo she became more aware of her surroundings.

"Yes, we can't let this place become powerful...but most importantly, we can't let the Zhongguo Communist Party, which controls a part of this nation as Warlords, take power, that would be bad for the whole world" Ferdinand answers as he drinks a bottle of water, also looking at the other window seriously.

"I see..." Tanya said without looking at Ferdinand, she then moved her hand to grab the bottle of water so she could drink but accidentally held Ferdinand's hand, who turned his head and looked at Tanya with a raised eyebrow.

"..."

"....."

Both of them are silent as they look at each other's faces without knowing what to say, but you can see a mischievous smile appearing on Ferdinand's face while a grimace of anger and disgust appears on Tanya's face, as she already knew what he was going to say.

"Tanya~ I didn't know you had feelings for me~" Ferdinand said teasingly, with Tanya's face already starting to show veins of anger.

"You....Don't....Dare....Continue" Tanya said seriously as she looked at Ferdinand in a way that promised pain and suffering for him if he continued to speak.

Meanwhile, the Imperial Guards who were in the front seats were shocked by what they heard, with the driver looked in the rearview mirror and widened his eyes before focusing back on the road, the two Imperial Guards clearly had something to report in the future.

'The Prince and the little girl are holding hands...are they together?!' Thought the shocked Imperial Guards as one drove down the road, following the other car.

Without knowing it Ferdinand created something that would be a gossip that would spread, first to the other Imperial Guards before reaching the ears of other people.

After a while, Ferdinand's car finally stopped near the Forbidden City, a place that once housed the Emperors, now serving as the seat of their power by the Republican Government and mainly where the Presidents now live.

Stepping out of the car, Ferdinand and Tanya had an entourage waiting for them, with a man wearing well-ornate General's clothes waiting for the duo, the man carried with him an Aura that demanded respect, but his face showed no seriousness, but rather a smile.

This man was Dong Guanting, Supreme General of the Zhongguo National Army and President of the Republic of Zhongguo, personally coming to greet our dear authoritarian protagonist.

"Your Imperial Highness Ferdinand von Rotenburg, welcome to the Republic of Zhongguo" Guanting said respectfully as he bowed to Ferdinand before offering his hand for a shake, which Ferdinand accepted after bowing respectfully to the President.

"The honor is all mine, Mr. President," Ferdinand said respectfully with a smile on his face. Dong Guanting then paid attention to Tanya, already knowing her identity from the newspapers, making him believe that she was both a companion of the Dacian Prince and also his special bodyguard, with him also bowing to the little girl before offering his hand for a shake, which Tanya responded in agreement respectfully.

When they went inside the Forbidden City, more specifically to the Palace where the former deposed Imperial Family lived, Ferdinand couldn't help but marvel at the hundreds of pieces of art he saw as he walked through the corridors, with Tanya also enchanted, but not showing it on her face.

Kingdom of Ildoa

Meanwhile in the Kingdom of Ildoa, more specifically in the North of that nation, a meeting was taking place between several men wearing dark military uniforms, among them was a bald man who was sitting in a chair while reading some papers, with him wearing glasses so he could read properly.

"I didn't think the Dacians would support us now... but this is something interesting and beneficial for us" Said the man as he raised his head and looked at the other men in the room, who nodded.

"Il mio Duce, is it wise to accept Dacian patronage? While it is clearly beneficial, we do not know what they might ask for if their intentions are not 100% true" Said a man as he stood behind the one he called Duce, looking at him with a raised eyebrow.

The man nodded in agreement with what was said, understanding the concerns of his political companion.

"I understand your concern, but right now we need this patronage, since just having the farmers supporting and arming us will not be enough, the Industrialists are still supporting the Democrats, even when the Socialists are knocking on their doors with knives and clubs" Said the Duce as he put a hand to his head, trying to understand what was going on in the heads of the Capitalists who still supported incompetent people who did not even help them with the problems they were facing....it simply did not make sense.

This man was Lorenzo Garibaldi, a descendant of the great Garibaldi who helped in the Ildoan Unification, but who became hated by the Upper Class and especially the Nobility for having attempted a Coup to establish a Republic after disagreements with the Royal Family.

Lorenzo was in the Socialist Party for a long time before being banned for having ideals that were considered more nationalist than Socialist or Communist in fact, so when Lorenzo found out about National-Legionarism and its ideals, he began to learn more about this Ideology, until he reached this moment, with him creating a political movement that is beginning to have a lot of influence in the North.

However, just having the funds from the farmers was not enough, which is why he almost thanked any Deity that could exist when the Dacians offered to sponsor his movement since the Imperium wanted to prevent the continued spread of Socialism in other countries.

While he thought the Imperium wouldn't help him because he had republican ideals, it seems they don't care if you're republican or monarchist, as long as you follow National-Legionarism, which can be seen in the Islamic Republics of the Middle East created by the Imperium Daciae.

"I don't think anyone is against accepting sponsorship from the Dacians, right? Great, then I'll talk to the Dacian contacts and make a deal," Lorenzo said with a smile on his face.

With that, the first of many movements and Parties that followed National-Legionarism would begin to receive investments around the world because of the Imperium.
