Chapter 4

I try to reach for the bathroom door after that hit but I find a girl standing by the door of the stall and another by the door of the bathroom and another just standing there, they blocked the entrance of anyone to the bathroom, my vision starts to get less blurry as I see Sofia standing in front of me, she pressed her feet against my abdomen, I feel like I can barely breath.

"Now we are alone so your pretty friend can't reach us" she giggledd as if what she just said was so funny.

"Black belt and bullshit, you can't be serious" she lets out a breath looking at me with disbelief, why did you get us both in trouble now Luke, you are a nice person and all, but what is about to come isn't nice.

She punches me thrice that I feel like she almost broke my jaw and blood started seeping through my mouth on the floor.

"Poor dirty dog" she whispered as she kicked me twice more in my belly. The pain is continuous and I can feel my head pounding.

"What do you want Sofia ?" I said with the last energy I have got in my body.

"Smart dog though. I want you to stop talking to the black belt boy, you already have enough two friends, people like you shouldn't have any"

"Anyways, as I was saying, cut your relation with that boy and be obedient as you were before and don't you dare tell anyone about what happened here"

"Okay" I say as I try to breath.

"And also my last surprise for you is this" she gets out a peanut candy bar and feeds it to me forcefully, someone told her, or either she saw me yesterday. She spitted on me and kicked my small body one last good kick and so did her sidekicks.

"I know you love peanut snacks, so I had to make sure you get one for being an obedient dog you are" she smiled slyly then she washed her hands and got out, her and her sidekicks.

I stretch my arm to pull my bag as I search for my allergy shot, I can't find it, this bitch, she took my shot, my allergy started acting up so I called Raya as fast as I can.

"Raya.."

"Yes Liz, are you okay? you sound ill?"

"The bathroom, I am in the bathro..." I can't speak, my chest tightened and I can't breath, I need the shot as fast as I can.

"Don't worry Liz, I'm coming to you sweetheart, just hold on okay and calm down, I will be right there.." I can see she is losing her breath too, she sounds like she was running.

My stomach feels worse and i feel nasueas, my skin started to get tinted with red colour as I try to rest my back by the wall but I can't, so I reston the floor waiting for Raya, my mouth is still bleeding a lot.

Raya bursts through the bathroom and not a second after did I lose consciousness and everyhting went dark. I'm glad I know that I'm at least with Raya, I know I will be safe.

I wake up in a hospital room, I find Raya, Mum sitting next to me worried and Bellany sitting at the back of the room laughing at a video on her phone, is she really serious?

"Oh my gosh, you woke up thank God" Raya let out a breath of relief.

"I was worried about you baby, I couldn't believe when they called me and told me you were in the hosptial suffering from bad injuries and allergy, don't you always take your shot with you? and who did that to you?" Mum said, I can't really tell her or tell anyone, my situation can't be helped unless I graduate or drop out or move away from this town entirely. Sofia won't handle it well if I told anyone.

"It's nothing mum and for the shot she--" I stopped before I say anything more that would get me in trouble.

"Who is she?" Mum asked in concern.

"No one, just forget it already and let me rest so I can go to school tomorrow"

"You got one week permission to stay at home as the doctor said, he has signed some papers after diagnosing you"

"Good" I let out a deep breath, not a very good thing, but I'm gonna go with it anyways. Mum went to speak with the doctor as Raya sat closer to me.

"Did Sofia do all that to you?" Raya said in a whisper, till now Bellany didn't even flinch from her phone.

"I would prefer not to say"

"Why Liz? for God's sake have you seen how you look? you are all bruised from head to toe and your allergies acted up and you almost had your ribcage bones broken as well. I know she ir rich and all of that, but you can't keep holding her tantrums like that"

"Raya, Please, If Sofia did know that anyone knows what happened, she is going to hurt me and that person, so please don't get hurt because of me, we have got around seven months to graduate, I will just do as she says and then I'm free"

"Do you think that after those seven months you will be free? she will continue to use you even after because you didn't stand up for yourself and the same will repeat wherever you go if you don't learn to stand strong in front of anyone"

"I won't stand against her, I don't want to get kicked out of school, school is all I have, that's the only thing I have that I can succeed in"

"No, you can enter another school if you get expelled and you can still persue your dreams of being a doctor, but the doctor already reported for abuse for your case"

"What? no, let him cancel it"

"No, Liz, I will always be there for you to help you, trust me in this, plus she almost killed you"

"Trust you? After getting me forced to tell about what Sofia did?"

"I didn't, the doctor did the report, you can't bribe the doctor or convince him otherwise and your mother, who you were always ashamed of and try your hardest not to be like her, told me to help you stand up for yourself and to have some self respect and dignity, because she doesn't want you to becomme like her, without both" She said with an angry tone but not loud enough to make mum hear. How dare she tell me such thing?

"How dare you Raya? I have got nothing to say to you, you may leave you and Bellany and if you can take mum with you it would be for the better now" I say as I try to even my breath so I don't collapse.

"Let's leave Miss Chandler and Bell"

"Bye guys" I say in a whisper as they all come out and leave me to rest.

Less than 10 minutes later, Luke and Jayden came to check on me.

"Hey Lizzie, Ra--"

"You need to leave Luke"

"Why?"

"Because I was told to stay away from you and for the talk, Raya gave it all to me, I'm sorry, but you need to go you and Jayden" I say as I cry, he sits next to me on the hospital bed.

"You really want me to leave? I can't leave you anyways even if you said so, I can't look the other way when I'm seeing someone get hurt, it's the same as if I was the bully hitting you, no difference" He says as he pressed his hand gently across mine. I got nervous, but I don't want to lose his touch, it makes me feel warm.

"I assure you I won't let Sofia have a good time in school anymore after what happened today, for everyone she did hurt or will do, I need to stop her" he says as he smiles geniunly at me.

"Rest well soldier and when you get up the Taekwondo center will be waiting for you" I smiled.

"Please Luke, don't get yourself in trouble because of me, promise me"

"I promise you Liz that I will make sure you don't get bullied in school again" Jayden waves at me during these tense moments.

He leaves and I feel longing for him and his touch, I close the lights of the room and sleep on my side.
