The caring Fu Heng?

Once they got to the restaurant, Lan Bo didn't even have a chance to ask Fu Heng what's going on. He has known Fu Heng for over ten years, and never heard about any girl in his life. This is the first, and Lan Bo got his curiosity up.

Thinking about her injury, Fu Heng didn't allow her to eat anything with seafood or fried things.

Ling Xu didn't say much, but just gave him an unhappy eye stare.

Finally, seeing everything on the menu, Fu Heng ordered chicken congee for her. While both of the guys are having burgers, she's the only one eating congee. What kind of luck does she have?

Ling Xu couldn't keep her eyes off of their burgers while she's just stirring her congee with the spoon.

"Can I have some?" as Ling Xu couldn't hold it anymore.

"No."

Even though Ling Xu knows the answer will be no, she didn't expect it'll be that fast.

"Fu Heng, eating some won't hurt," as Lan Bo said. "Plus I'm a doctor too. You can't even trust me?"

Ling Xu gives a thank you look to Lan Bo, and quickly shifts a waiting glance to Fu Heng.

But another 'NO' came out his mouth.

"Hmff" Ling Xu quietly ate her congee, and didn't even talk to Fu Heng.

Lan Bo looks at both of them, and slowly feels bad for Ling Xu. He knows how stubborn Fu Heng could be.

After eating the congee, Ling Xu felt that it wasn't enough. But she didn't say anything because she knows Fu Heng will not allow her to eat anything. So, she'll wait until she gets home.

Right after she thought of that, it seems like Fu Heng could read her brain.

"Don't even think about ordering take out. If you do then I'll tell Mei Yi." He then went to pay.

Ling Xu sticks out her tongue and gives a face to him. Fu Heng didn't see it, but he knew her and couldn't help but smile.

"How did you know him?" as Lan Bo asks.

"I wish I didn't know him." Ling Xu said that because he made her very mad today.

Lan Bo of course knows she's just saying that. He then gives her a 'wish you good luck' face, before Fu Heng comes back.

"I'm gonna drive her back home first," he saids to Lan Bo.

"I get it. Go," as Lan Bo saids it with some kid attitude.

Ling Xu sat on the passenger seat, and the whole ride back she didn't speak a word with Fu Heng.

Fu Heng would give short glances from time to time , and saw how Ling Xu is giving those childish attitudes.

The car arrives outside of Ling Xu's apartment.

"Why are you not heading in?" as Fu Heng asks.

"What should I say?" as Ling Xu asks him.

Fu Heng knows what she's talking about. As he's about to open his mouth, Ling Xu's phone call stops him.

"Mei Yi."

"Xiao Xu, I won't be home for three days. I have to go back to my hometown to fix something. Will you be okay?" as Mei Yi asks through the phone.

Ling Xu is more than fine because she was worrying how to explain, and now even the sky is helping her.

"I'll be fine. Don't have to worry about me." Ling Xu ended the phone after a few more words.

For some reason Ling Xu felt quite happy. Happy that Mei Yi won't know about her injury, but also happy cuz no one will be there to boss her around on what not to eat.

But at this moment, Fu Heng has been watching her every move and of course knows what she's thinking. He takes out his phone and types a few words before sending it.

Ling Xu turns to Fu Heng.

"I'm gonna go now," Ling Xu said.

As Ling Xu is about to open the door, her phone rings again.

It's Fu Jing Mei.

"Xiao Xu, can you come over for three days?" as she saids it with a quivering voice.

"What's happened?" as Ling Xu paused at her step and took a look at Fu Heng.

"It's hard to talk over the phone, but can you come over now?"

Ling Xu said okay, and then looked over at Fu Heng. She doesn't understand why Fu Jing Mei doesn't call Fu Heng.

"What happened?" as Fu Heng looks at her.

"I don't know too, but Auntie Fu said she wants to see me."

Fu Heng got the car back on again, and Ling Xu can't help but look at him. 'He doesn't know?' as Ling Xu takes a closer look.

They arrive at Fu Jing Mei's house, and Ling Xu walks in with Fu Heng. She saw Fu Jing Mei couldn't sit still on the chair.

"Auntie Fu, what happened?"

Fu Jing Mei told them everything. While listening, Fu Heng almost couldn't hold in his laugh.

An hour ago,

[Mom, find every possible way to make Ling Xu stay at home with you for three days. I'll explain later.]

While both of their plans are working, Ling Xu still doesn't know what's going on.

"But isn't Fu Heng a police officer? Couldn't he protect you?" as Ling Xu doesn't understand.

"He is, but he can't stay home with me 24 hours. Xiao Xu, please?" as Fu Jing Mei looked at her, and held her hand. But then realized the bandages on Ling Xu's hand.

"What happened?" as Fu Jing Mei asks worryingly.

Ling Xu thought that she doesn't have to explain to Mei Yi, and this will be over. But now she forgot about Fu Jing Mei.

"It's nothing. I just fell off from the bike." Ling Xu didn't tell her everything, and only said the last part.

Finally, Ling Xu couldn't help but agree to stay.

As Ling Xu went to use the bathroom, Fu Jing Mei quickly went up to Fu Heng to ask what happened.

Fu Heng briefly said it, and Fu Jing Mei's eyes widened.

"Wow, son. I didn't know you were like this. When did you become so caring?" as she looks at him, and wonders if it's really his son.

"Just make sure she doesn't eat those things," as Fu Heng said before leaving. Ling Xu happenly to hear that, and wished Fu Heng could shut his mouth.
