No Way, He's My Husband!

"Soon I will make Adrian mine and take your place as his wife," Amber said confidently, whispering in Avians' ear while they were in the bathroom.

Avians who heard this was shocked, her body trembling at the thought of how Amber would take Adrian away from her.

"Who are you anyway? You dare to compete with Adrian who is clearly a class above you. You're nothing more than a dirty rat trying to be a hamster to be loved by him," the woman said again further demeaning Avians position.

Avians was speechless, she knew from the start that she was not suited to the wealthy life that Adrian had. Even so, all she wanted was to be loved by him. The feeling of being loved and cared for made her happy to always be with her husband.

"I am an educated woman, beautiful and charming. Everyone knows me as a smart and successful woman. It's a perfect match with Adrian who is also a good and successful man. Unlike you who is just a woman who can't even do anything,"

"You're right... I really can't do anything. I only graduated from high school, I never went to university to become a student or work anywhere because I don't have the skills for that," Avians told Amber.

Hearing that, Amber felt even better and more amazing than Avians.

"But..." Avians immediately cut Amber off. "Can you make Ian happy with all those things? Can you... Make him feel comfortable when he's around you? Give him what he expects?" she continued to ask.

"Maybe I'm not like you, and I hope I never will be. But one thing's for sure, I won't let you take away what's precious to me, which is Ian."

Amber clenched her teeth at the sight of the Avians daring to stand up to her. She was actually afraid to say all that. But imagining herself losing Adrian, she could not keep silent.

"You may be perfect with everything you want to have, but..." Avians ventured to look into the other's eyes. "I'm the one Ian chose, not you! Therefore, I will not give you my husband!"

Suddenly, a slap landed on Avians' cheek very hard. She held her cheek, which was stinging from the slap.

"You damn woman! A lowly bitch like you doesn't deserve to talk to me like that!" Amber shouted in annoyance.

Instantly Avians was speechless, she probably regretted her words for ending up getting slapped like that. But she wanted to say that she did not want to part with Adrian no matter what.

Meanwhile, Adrian was confused as to why his wife had not returned from the bathroom. He had been waiting since earlier while keeping a worried eye on his watch.

"Why isn't Avi back?" he asked.

"I don't know. Does she have a stomach ache? She's not on her period, is she?" Elena asked Adrian.

Adrian shook his head, he didn't know about that. Seeing that his brother was worried about his wife. Elena decided to go and check in the women's bathroom.

Actually, since a while ago she had been worried because Amber didn't come back too. She was afraid that Amber had done something to the Avians.

Sure enough, in the quiet bathroom, Amber was grabbing Avians' hair with one hand ready to slap the woman again.

The blonde-haired woman was surprised because someone was holding her hand from behind, irritably she turned to someone who grabbed her wrist.

When she looked behind her, it was Elena. Her gray eyes glared at Amber who dared to hurt her sister-in-law. She pulled Amber's hand away from the Avians and slapped her hard on the cheek with the back of her hand.

The large ring Elena was wearing, scraped Amber's cheek as she slapped her. It left a long red mark on her cheek that was very painful.

"How dare you hurt my sister-in-law! Who do you think you are, huh?! How dare you make a scene with the Foster Family!" Elena said in a high, sharp tone.

Elena had always been kind and cheerful, and gentle with everyone. But this time she looked very different.

She had been very annoyed with Amber since she first met her, a woman who was arrogant and said too many demeaning things to others.

"Elena..." called Avians in a frightened voice.

"Avians, are you okay? Ahh... Your cheeks are red like this, it must be stinging," said Elena worriedly looking at Avians' face.

Seeing the opportunity, Amber fled back to their table in the restaurant and complained about what happened to her because of Elena's slap. Especially to the point of making her hurt.

Sarah went berserk when she heard it, and when Elena returned with Avians, she immediately scolded Elena in front of everyone in the restaurant.

"What the hell are you?! Hurt Amber's face with your hand? Have you lost your mind, Elena?! Who told you to do something like that, huh?!" Sarah snapped.

"What the hell did i do, mom say? She already beat up Avians in the bathroom and made Avians cheek a little swollen, you want me to let that shameless woman hurt my sister-in-law?!" replied Elena who had lost her temper.

"What?!" Adrian turned to the Avians whose head was covered by Elena's furry jacket because she was crying and in a messy state. She was embarrassed if others saw her, so Elena covered her up.

"Elena Foster! How dare you talk to your mother like that!"

"Mom, are you trying to embarrass me in front of everyone by continuing to defend someone who isn't even your biological daughter? Heh, I'm starting to wonder why dad could marry you," Elena said.

Adrian's anger could no longer be contained at seeing Avians in such a state. He immediately pulled Avians home and left the restaurant. Refusing to listen to Sarah's call for him to stay there.

Elena also left the restaurant and chose to go home. But before she left, she took her wine glass and poured it on Amber's face.

"What the hell are you doing?"

"Enjoy your dinner," Elena said with a sweet smile and turned to leave.

In the car, Adrian held Avians during the ride. Caressing her cheeks gently so that she could feel calmer and lessen the pain of Amber's slap.

Avians buried her face in Adrian's warm embrace. She did not want to lose the warmth she felt right now.

Therefore, she intended to fight for her marriage with Adrian. Even if she had to feel pain.
