Chapter 9: Retreat

Dammit, where could Ayaka be? I heard her scream a few miles away from where I was at.

Wait, what's that smoke over there?

No, could it be Ayaka is dead? Shit, I need to hurry up and find her.

"Help!" Ayaka yelps.

Got it, in this direction I should find her. I need to hurry up though.

I still have no idea how I'm flying but, this aura around me must be Ryoko's power.

"Nothing personal, but I have to kill you now. My leader would be mad if I had left a girl behind running to the Capital."

"P-Please I don't want to die!"

"Goodbye."

"Hey! Who the hell do you think you are trying to kill Ayaka!"

"Hm, who could this be?"

"Yeah, I'm talking to you spiky head! Where's your leader."

"Why would a weakling want to know that?"

"Because, I'm going to kill him when I see him." I firmly stated.

"Kill him? Don't joke with me. Your Ren energy is below average. It pars with a beginner beast in the wild. Which is the lowest of the low."

"Wait, do you even have any traits?"

"Not yet, but I'll kill you still somehow!" I shouted.

He's right, how can I kill him. I don't even have any Ren in my body at all.

"Some confidence for a person with no Ren. Fine I'll give you a shot."

"Alright then! Come at me!" I shouted while getting into a stance.

He's running at me. Shit, I didn't even think of a way to beat this guy.

Should I just use hand to hand combat on him? Or just try getting Ayaka to slice him in half with the Kaguya Sword?

Damn it! I don't know what to do!

He's already getting close to me with his fist!

"Water Magic: Atlantic Punch!"

That felt weird, I felt he punched me but, it had no effect at all. And what's this feeling? It feels like my heart beat went from normal to rapid speeds.

I get it. I know what I must do. Everything clicked now.

"It's here! I can feel the Ren Energy forming inside me!"

"What the hell! Why didn't you get impacted by my punch!"

"My bad, but I've just learned how to combine Natural Energy and Will Energy to make Ren!" I shouted with a grin.

"Ayaka! Stand back! I'm going to wipe the floor with this douche bag!"

"I'll get revenge for your mother that is laying over there!"

"Okay, you better not die!" Ayaka shouts while running to a building.

Hey isn't that what I said to her? I need to focus though.

"Nothing personal, I just wanna kill all of your faction members. All of the fires and destruction I saw coming this way was you guys right?

"Yeah, what's it to you!"

"Gives me a more of a reason to send you to hell."

"Die!" the faction member shouts while charging up his water magic.

All of my powers has entered into my mind at this point. I'll use them to kill this guy, and save Ayaka.

"Dark Magic: Shadow Projection Cage!" I shouted while making a hand sign.

What I've learned about my powers, 'Shadow Projection Cage' traps a person inside a cage that is unbreakable and I can control the inside of it as much as I want.

"What the hell?!" the faction member shouts while being caged.

"You're mine." I blurted while being in mid-air.

"Dark Magic: Void Pulse!" I shouted while sending a strong shadow pulse directly at him.

"I'm losing so much blood damn it! How could I lose to a stupid person!"

"I don't know, but you should think about that when you reach the afterlife." I commented while the faction member's life slowly fades away.

What? My Mesu, it feels like it's fading away. I thought once you got them you would have it forever?

"It's your Ren Energy, once you've used it up, you have to wait for it to form again overtime."

"Ryoko!?"

"Huh?" Ryoko confused.

"Oh, you scared the hell out of me!" I shouted while being mad.

"But how long does it take for my Ren Energy to come back?"

"It should take maybe four to two weeks to fully come back. You used your Ren to quickly, usually you have to wait a bit then it's ready to use but you did the impossible and used it right when you gained it."

"I'm gonna be gone for a while till your Ren Energy recovers. I can only be up with that so don't be thinking you can rely on my help." Ryoko adds on.

"Tokuda! Is that you?" Mita shouts from across the carved-road.

"Yeah! I've got Ayaka with me! She's kinda beat up, could you heal her for me!" I shouted while heading to Ayaka.

"Ayaka you there?"

"Hm? Tokuda is that you?"

"Yeah? What's wrong you hurt?"

"Kinda of."

"Mita is on the way, she'll heal you with her healing magic, so don't worry."

"What was that aura surrounding you?" Ayaka asked with confusion.

"I'll explain it later once we get somewhere safe." I mumbled.
