Three Days Aftermath

In a blink of an eye, three days had passed. 

Sitting in a stone bed that I carved using my skill, "Supreme Bite", I am watching the internal beauty of the forest outside the cave. 

For me, who was used to the life of the city, this place is too comfortable. The city is full of pollution and the heat can't be described, however, in this forest, it is hundredfold different. I can only say, 'It isn't bad to be summoned' 

With the feature of the forest; fresh wind which has no pollution; radiation, and dark smoke isn't a thing. I could take deep breaths without feeling horrible, yet can feel the calmness of nature.

Yawn ~

Just sitting makes me feel sleepy in comfort. 

'This is life!' 

I want to shout at the top of my lungs. Unfortunately, I can't do so because it will only attract other beasts' attention.

'I wish I could stay like this forever!' I say.

Eh~ 

But then, I remembered something. I shake my head and think 'Nope, I'll take those words back, I don't think it's a good idea to stay like this forever.' 

'As people say, to be successful, don't stay in your comfort zone. You also have to explore that weakness of yours.'

Just like the saying goes; no pain, no gain.

Nevertheless, this doesn't mean I will have a hard time. I only want to say that I have to stay vigilant about the feeling of relaxation because I don't know when this sensation would turn me into a lazybones. 

'Fortunately, I managed to counter my laziness for the past few days and even made a profit out of it. I don't want to be lazy at this life' 

"System, can you show me my panel? " Speaking of profit, I decided to look at it. And so, I command the system.

Just looking at this status panel where my information is written, I could see the progress I had made.

First of all, I am now at the nine-tier level of cultivation, which, although not that high, but within the area of one kilometer, beasts that could be a potential threat to me are next to none. But of course, I still have to be careful about hoards or packs.

I also made some tasks and obtained tens of skills. Most of them are about building and development; they are collected by me after I cleaned the cave after all. I don't think that much important so I don't want to talk about this too much.

The most powerful ones are; Berserk and Slaughter. These two skills came from hunting two different kinds of beast. From a water type beast, I gained Water Slash. Unfortunately, there is only one type of water beast in the vicinity that I found, which based on the system called; Black Stripe Fish. A yellowish fish with white stripes, just like zebras. They have a body of seven inches and have a sharp bottom. 

And the second skill is the; Body Petrified, which I got from the beast that I killed: a low level or in a juvenile age, Stone Lizard. It was just accidentally killed by my missed shot when I was hunting at the lake for a fish.

These rock lizards have a unique ability; they are not easy to distinguish once they stick to a stone because they could camouflage. That is also the main reason why they got called by their name: Stone Lizard.

Although I can't copy the same skill twice, if I could find an Old Age Stone Lizard or also known as Earth Lizard, the system said I most likely could obtain a new skill or an element. And I am looking forward to my next hunt because of this reason.

I am thankful for the fact that I have a system where I could easily get answers for my doubts and, of course, I also could extract info of others.

This is my greatest advantage compared to all creatures in this forest. That is all I can claim without any doubt. 

Next, what are the supreme bite and the Fire Slash in my skills? Well, they are the skills that I gained after obtaining my form. They only got a new name after it advanced to a new level. 

From the Claw slash, which is a typical offensive level skill, it became a fearsome skill where, after inserting qi, I could produce fire on my claw to attack. 

While the other one, if the former bite skill could break ten inches of wood, Supreme Bite could break ten inches of steel.

These two skills, although the effect turned great, are still evaluated as E Rank Skill for unknown reasons.  

I can't comprehend how the system evaluates skills and I really don't care that much for me to investigate it.

As long as I could use the skill, do I need to think too much about it? 

Nope?

Instead of thinking about evaluation, I shift my eyes and see the shapeshift.

Although this ability was already expected by me since I became a parasite, still, it was just a mere conclusion at that time and I wasn't sure if I really could obtain the ability. Nevertheless, I obtained it in the end. 

The only beast I need to hunt is a bird to complete my new goal. First, I could turn into a Black Striped Fish, for a water fight, then into a Mountain Rat, for a land fight, and so a Bird, for air battle. 

I'm not sure if birds have skills for fighting though but based on my awareness after watching them for three days, I think they are a group of sheep that don't have any ability to fight and only know how to sing, dance, and play. Not to mention, the birds I keep seeing don't have a feature like another beast in this area, but they look just like a normal bird on the earth. 

Even then, I am a bit jealous of them, because, at the very least, they aren't alone like me.

They have each other to play with and enjoy their everyday life, while I am alone in this shady cave, with no one to accompany me. 

I can't believe that I can't find even a shadow of humans in this forest.

Is there not even one soul living in this forest other than beasts? I even asked again. I'm not sure, but because only beasts are what I could see every day lingering around. I subconsciously believed that only beasts reside in this place. Not to mention, I also tried to look around the vicinity to see, but went back empty-handed.

Unfortunately, although I am a beast now, I still can't afford to talk with other beasts... 

I don't think it will be a good idea.

Just thinking about how we are going to roar when talking, I could feel a butterfly in my stomach.

I don't want to do it even in my dream.

Another thing is, as you know, I am a man and I am also in need sometimes. No one expects me to have some lovey-dovey with beasts, right?

Please tell me no one, right?

If not, that's a relief!!

Having lovey-dovey with beasts? Not a chance in this life. Under my dead body.
