Chapter Twelve
Alisha's POV
Sitting here thinking about what I have to face. How has the life of my family changed since I descended? I feel the difference in me since I descended. I feel stronger and more untouchable for some reason. We've been at Olympus for a month and I've improved my skills. To be honest I don't miss Dante yet. My grandfather says it's because we haven't bonded yet.
Trevor and Marco have also obtained god status. It is now possible for Trevor to control the fire element with some skill. This is funny because he keeps setting stuff on fire. Marco can now control the earth element better than his brother.
As they descended, they got taller and gained more muscles. I didn't gain any height which isn't fair. My power has increased and I have developed more advanced healing abilities. My hair has grown since I've been here. Today I'm visiting Dante to see what he has been up to. Mother says I should surprise him.
My mother Ava won her challenge against Xavier's ex-mate. She and my dad are now mated which is good. I can't wait to see my Uncle Derrick and Angela. Derrick says his sons have changed women like their underwear. The fact that my cousin has always been a player doesn't surprise me.
Goodness, I'm getting ready to head home for a few days. I'm very excited to see my family and the pack. Hey Trevor and Marco, are you ready to leave? Sure Sis, let's go and see the members of the family, Trevor. Trevor smiled at his sister excited to show his father their enhanced skills.
He smiles at her as well. It gave them a feeling that they were in Olympus. He is happy that he has accepted the gift of immortality. Although he misses his mother. Marco has always been more of a mamma's boy. His mother lives as a human. After talking to his sister, they decided to remove her memory and place her in the human world. He saw her on TV the other day and saw that she was dating and glowing with happiness.
Dante's POV
I have missed Alisha since she left. I've only talked to her three times. It's really rough on my dog as well, since I won't be able to touch her. Exciting things have happened to the pack through. Since my mate has been gone, Marci and I have become friends. I know many in the pack disagree with the friendship. It's a pain not to have your mate around. Ava has been giving me the evil eye lately. I've explained to her that Marci and I are just friends. Xavier has told me I'm wrong to hang with my ex-girlfriend. I don't see anything wrong with it though. We just go swimming and watch movies together as friends do.
Even my parents are upset about the relationship. We only snuggled for a short while because she was suffering from something. I had to be there as her friend.
Honestly, I miss our relationship. Besides I'm a man and I have needs that my mate isn't fulfilling Tonight I decided to take her on a real date to cheer her up. Lately, she has been sad. So I'm planning a date just like we used to do when we dated.
Toby says I'm not mated, so why not have fun? I'm having fun with Marci. Then when my mate comes home I can be with her. What is the harm in having fun? Besides Marci is down to be my friend with benefits.
Don't get it twisted I love my true mate. But I want Marci at the same time.
Marcie's POV
You didn't think I was giving up, did you? Well, I cast a spell on Dante. First I got him to agree to be my friend. Then I used Colette's black magic knowledge.
So tonight we are going to mate with the spell. Once it is completed, he will forget about his true mate. I don't know how strong the spell is though.
I just know that he has allowed me to be close to him. Now I can get him to take me on a date tonight. His true mate has lived in town for a while assisting me in trying to get my man back.
Can't wait to see my man tonight.
Alpha Carlos POV
There is something wrong with my son lately. He has spent more time with Marcie. I don't understand why before Alisha left he cut ties with Marcie. Now that she is absent, there are magical friends. Something fishy is at play and I need to figure it out quickly. There is too much on the line for the pack.
Currently watching him and Marcie hang out. It's like they've never broken up. Something strange is taking place. I step out of my office. Dante, please come to my office. I need to speak with you.
He steps into my office with a happy look on his face. Son, what is going on with you and Marcie? Dad, I think I want to date her until Alisha is finished training.
I look at my son like he has lost his mind. You can't do that son, you risk losing your mate completely. I can't believe this is happening. He is the heir to the Alpha throne. Why is he acting so weak? Alisha has been absent for a month.
I need to contact my SEER about what is taking place with my son. Well son, please don't do anything stupid. What will you say when she visits you? Dad, if I'm being honest we have not mated yet.
Besides she is only 16 years old. I have time to spread my wings. Until she is old enough to mate with me officially. Son, you will ruin your life if you continue to see Marcie. She will be your downfall.
He walks out of my office still smiling.
I immediately contacted my seer to help with this situation. Every pack has a seer who tells the future. They usually don't tell you what will happen. Normally she warns me if something bad happens. I need to know if his dating Marcie will fail.
If that is the case I will send her to another pack.
When the seer arrives, she immediately informs me that Marcie senses evil. It is clear what the vision says. That I should be on guard to keep my son safe. The only person who will experience trials and tribulations with his new partner is him.
