Chapter 3 - Rivals And Friends

(This chapter has 3240 words)

As the morning sun peeked through the curtains, Gojo and Sukuna both stirred awake. Sukuna groggily stumbled out of bed, rubbing his eyes as he tried to shake off the remnants of sleep. Meanwhile, Gojo remained in his room, lounging on his bed and enjoying the quiet solitude of the early morning.

Just as Sukuna began to make his way to the bathroom, a knock at the door interrupted his movements. "Fuck," he muttered to himself, his voice still thick with sleep. He shuffled towards the door, his four eyes opening groggily as he rubbed the sleep from them. He kept his lower eyes closed to make himself look less strange than he already did, and because having four eyes overall felt weird.

As he opened the door, he was greeted by the sight of Ororo, the chocolate beauty who had introduced herself the day before. "Hey, good morning," she smiled, her voice warm and friendly.

Sukuna stared at her groggily, still trying to fully wake up. "Hey, good morning," he responded, his voice tired.

Ororo handed him a piece of paper, her smile never wavering. "Here's you and Satoru's schedule for today," she said, her tone cheerful. "I hope you have a good first day."

Sukuna took the paper from her, his movements slow and sluggish. "Thanks," he mumbled, his voice barely audible.

Ororo nodded and walked away, leaving Sukuna to stare at the closed door for a moment before he sighed and placed the schedule on his desk. He shut the door behind him and made his way to the shower, hoping that the hot water would help to wake him up fully.

Meanwhile, Gojo continued to lay in his bed, enjoying the peacefulness of the early morning.

After a moment of tranquility, Satoru heavily sighed as he slowly got up from his bed and stretched his arms above his head, feeling the tension in his muscles ease. He then made his way to the bathroom to brush his teeth and take a shower, hoping that the cool water would help him feel more awake and alert.

Some time passed as both Satoru and Sukuna finished their showers and got ready for the day. Sukuna picked up both schedules from his desk and walked across the hall to Satoru's room. He knocked on the door, and after a moment of contemplation, Satoru finally opened it.

Without a word, Sukuna tossed the paper at Satoru and turned to walk back to his room. Satoru caught the paper and muttered "Dick" under his breath as he closed the door. He looked down at the paper in his hand and realized it was his school schedule. "Fucking hell," he muttered, feeling a sense of dread wash over him as he thought about being in class with multiple people.

Meanwhile, Sukuna lay down on his bed, relaxing and waiting for class to start. He was feeling confident and ready to take on whatever challenges the day might bring.

Satoru, on the other hand, sat on his bed, lost in thought. He had always struggled with social anxiety, and the thought of being in a classroom full of people made him feel nervous and overwhelmed.

As Sukuna left his room, he began to wander around the school. He had found a convenient outfit in his closet that resembled Yuji's fit, consisting of a black long-sleeved shirt, red hoodie, black pants, and red shoes. As he walked through the hallways, he noticed people walking by, but he was only stopped by Logan.

"Hey, bub, it seems you're already out of your room," Logan said, gaining a nod from Sukuna.

"I got bored, and I'm kinda looking for a fight," Sukuna said, grabbing his neck with a smirk.

Before Logan could respond, the teen with the visor seemed to come out of nowhere. "Fight me then," Scott said, a smirk on his lips. He was wearing casual clothes, and there was also a guy standing next to Scott. This guy had the same skin complexion as Scott, with blond hair and blue eyes. Jean was also with them, and another girl who had long brown hair done up in a bun was wearing a casual outfit.

"Alright, bet," Sukuna said, smirking.

"You want to bet on it? Alright, what are you offering?" Scott said, also smirking.

Sukuna stared at him for a moment, confused. "What are you talking about?" he said before shaking his head. "Whatever, let's fight already."

Sighing, Logan shook his head. "Follow me," he said, leading them to a secluded area of the school where they could have their fight without causing too much damage or drawing unwanted attention.

As they walked, Sukuna's smirk never left his face, and he cracked his knuckles in anticipation.

Third Person: Satoru Gojo

Satoru spent some time searching through his closet for clothes, and to his surprise, he found an outfit similar to Gojo's Jujutsu High uniform. He put it on, feeling a sense of familiarity and comfort in the familiar attire. However, after staying in his room for a while, he started to feel hungry and knew he had to venture out to find food.

Taking a deep breath, Satoru peeked outside his door, seeing a few students walking around. He mentally prepared himself before stepping out of his room and closing the door behind him. As he walked down the hallway, he noticed more students, causing him to sigh heavily. He tried to make his way to the stairs to go downstairs, but as he turned the corner, he accidentally bumped into someone.

Mentally cursing himself and his Infinity for not working, Satoru looked up to see the familiar girl from before, the one with cherry red hair and a grayish-white streak in her hair. Rogue was about to apologize when she recognized Satoru. "Oh, hey sugah. Sorry about that, wasn't looking where I was going," she said in her usual southern accent.

"I-it's okay.. I wasn't looking where I was going either," Satoru replied nervously, scratching the back of his head.

Rogue sensed his discomfort and offered him help with her glove-covered hand. Satoru hesitated for a moment but eventually accepted her help, standing up to his feet. As he did, Rogue gave him a soft smile, causing Satoru to blush slightly.

"Where's.. food..?" Satoru quietly asked, his voice barely audible.

Rogue understood his question and replied, "Oh, you're hungry? Then follow me, sugah." She led the way towards the stairs, with Satoru following closely behind her. He couldn't help but feel grateful for her kindness, and his nerves started to settle down as they made their way to the kitchen.

Third Person: Sukuna

As Sukuna and Scott made their way outside, they passed the serene Breakstone Lake, its calm waters reflecting the clear blue sky above. They arrived at a clearing where they had gained the attention of the student masses. The teachers, however, saw this as an opportunity to show the students what a somewhat trained mutant could do, and they were also interested in seeing the new kids' combat capabilities. If anything were to go wrong, they would intervene and stop the fight.

Sukuna, however, paid no mind to the crowd or the teachers. He was solely focused on Scott, who was preparing himself for the upcoming battle. Logan knew that this fight was inevitable from what he had gathered about Sukuna. He was a guy who was clearly battle-hungry and would likely try to provoke someone just to make them fight him. Scott was just as stubborn, and stopping this fight was nearly impossible. It was better to let them get it out of their systems.

"Go," Logan called out, starting the spar. Without hesitation, Sukuna moved in a burst of speed towards Scott. Scott could barely react, but he did, his hand going to the side of his visor. A beam of pure concussive force fired from the visor, straight towards Sukuna, who had gotten close enough to be face to face with Scott. Moving his head down, Sukuna barely dodged it with a smirk on his face.

Sukuna then threw a punch towards Scott's stomach, a punch that Scott barely caught. The force of the punch caused Scott to stumble back, but he quickly regained his footing touching his visor causing the beam to stop, countering Sukuna with a punch of his own. Sukuna easily dodged it and retaliated with a swift kick to Scott's side, causing him to grunt in pain.

As Scott tumbled backward from the force of Sukuna's punch, he quickly caught himself and grunted, "You punch harder than you look." Recovering his footing, Scott watched as Sukuna walked towards him with a smirk on his face.

"What a dangerous beam," Sukuna commented, "and you aren't even using it fully. Impressive, I suppose."

Scott's visor glowed as he used it as a speed boost to rush towards Sukuna. Sukuna blocked Scott's punch, but as he did, he saw the red beam of concussive force fired at him. Flipping over Scott, Sukuna spun in the air and attempted to kick him. However, feeling the wind and force of the kick, Scott lifted his arm on his left side while touching his visor, stopping the beam. He blocked Sukuna's kick, causing him to slide against the ground from the force of the kick.

As Scott recovered, Sukuna was momentarily surprised by his own movements. 'It seems the instincts of the real Sukuna are still here,' Romero/Sukuna thought as he looked at Scott. Without hesitation, he rushed towards Scott in a burst of speed, throwing a punch that Scott blocked. Not allowing Scott to reach for his visor, Sukuna threw a light kick that could have been mistaken for a knee, forcing Scott to block with his own leg. Sukuna continued to throw punches, each one faster and more powerful than the last, as Scott struggled to keep up.

The crowd of students watched in awe as the two mutants fought, their movements a blur of speed and power. The teachers watched closely, analyzing their every move and taking note of their strengths and weaknesses. They knew that this was a valuable learning experience for the students, a chance to see firsthand what it meant to be a mutant and to use their powers responsibly.

Third Person: Satoru Gojo

As Satoru and Rogue entered the bustling kitchen, the aroma of freshly cooked food filled their nostrils. Rogue turned to Satoru and asked, "What would you like?" Satoru looked up at her, his blindfold hiding his striking blue eyes, and replied, "Is there any chips?"

Rogue walked over to a nearby cabinet and opened it, revealing a large selection of chips. Satoru's eyes widened at the sight, and he hesitated for a moment before picking a bag of Lays chips. "Thank you.. Rogue," he said, his voice quiet but grateful.

Rogue smiled at him and replied, "You can just call me Annie." Satoru nodded, looking relieved as he said, "Thank you, Annie."

Annie turned to walk away, but Satoru's voice stopped her. "W-wait," he said, his voice shaking slightly. "D-do you have a place where I can.. uhh. Get glasses that can limit my vision..?" he asked, unsure of how to phrase his question.

Annie paused for a moment, thinking about his request. "If you're looking for special glasses, then you're going to need to speak with Hank," she said, her southern accent coming through strong.

Satoru tilted his head in confusion. "Hank?" he asked.

"Hank McCoy, Beast? He's our scientist teacher and the one who typically creates the gadgets around here," Annie explained.

Satoru nodded his head in understanding. "I see.." he said, his voice trailing off.

"Want me to take you to him?" Annie asked, her voice kind.

Satoru hesitated for a moment before nodding his head. Annie turned and began to walk with him towards Hank's lab, her heels clicking against the tile floor as they went. Satoru followed closely behind, his hand gripping the bag of chips tightly as he tried to ignore the nervous fluttering in his stomach.

Third Person: Sukuna

As the fight between Sukuna and Scott continued, the two combatants exchanged blows with increasing intensity. Sukuna smirked as he sent Scott gliding back with a powerful punch, causing the latter to murmur in frustration. It seemed like Scott would have to go all out to beat Sukuna.

Using his visor, Scott rushed towards Sukuna once again. However, Sukuna had already anticipated his move and threw a punch which Scott blocked. In a quick follow-up, Scott grabbed Sukuna's arm, his visor lighting up with energy. Without hesitation, Sukuna raised his other arm just as the beam fired from Scott's visor.

To Scott's surprise, the beam seemed to do absolutely nothing to Sukuna. Unfazed, Sukuna disappeared from Scott's sight, causing him to stop the beam and turn around. To his shock, Sukuna was standing behind him, his arm clearly burnt from the beam. The adults around them quickly moved to stop the fight, while the students cringed in disgust at the sight of Sukuna's wound.

However, after a moment, Sukuna's wound instantly healed, causing the teachers to stop in surprise. Sukuna chuckled in a mix of pain and amusement, "That fucking hurt," he sighed, causing the onlookers to marvel at his healing ability.

Sukuna stood across from Scott, his chest heaving as he caught his breath. "Well, I had fun but," he said with a sigh, a smirk playing on his lips. He flicked his finger lightly, and the ground beneath them split open, causing an indentation to form and a cut to appear on Scott's chest. The force of the attack caused Scott to cough up blood and crumble to his knees.

"Call the match," Sukuna said, his voice cold and impassive. Logan nodded, his expression unreadable. "Sukuna wins," he declared, and the crowd erupted in surprise and shock.

Ignoring the gasps and murmurs of the onlookers, Sukuna walked over to Scott, who was still on his knees, clutching his chest. Before anyone could stop him, Sukuna bent down slightly and placed his hand on Scott's chest. The cut disappeared, and the bleeding stopped instantly. "That was fun," Sukuna said, his tone casual, before disappearing in a burst of speed.

The crowd was left in stunned silence, still trying to process what had just happened. The teachers exchanged worried glances, knowing that they would have to keep a close eye on Sukuna. He was a wildcard, unpredictable and dangerous.

Third Person: Satoru Gojo

Satoru and Rogue exited Hank's office, and Satoru was now wearing some teashades that had the same effect as Gojo's glasses, reducing the vision of his six eyes. Rogue turned to Satoru and looked at his eyes. "I gotta say, sugah, you have beautiful eyes," she said with a soft smile. Satoru paused at the compliment, not used to it, and he felt unsure of how to respond. "Uhh.. thanks," he said, glancing around the room nervously.

"No problem, hon," Rogue said, still smiling at him. Satoru felt his heart racing, and he suddenly felt the need to leave. "I-I think Sukuna's calling for m-me. I gotta go," he said, without waiting for a response. He quickly turned and ran back the way they had come, hoping to find Sukuna on his way back to the dorms.

As he rounded a corner, Satoru bumped into someone. "Watch out," the person said, and as Satoru looked up, he saw that it was Sukuna. "You blind ass dachi, you got new shades," Sukuna said casually, noticing the teashades on Satoru's face. "Oh thank god I found you so quick.." Satoru replied, taking a sigh of relief, still feeling a little flustered from his encounter with Rogue. He was still getting used to navigating the school, and he was grateful that he had found Sukuna so quickly.

Sukuna stared at Satoru with a confused expression, unsure of why he was looking for him. "Why were you looking for me?" Sukuna asked, his tone laced with curiosity.

Satoru hesitated before responding, "I met a woman and she complimented me."

Sukuna's confusion deepened, and he raised an eyebrow. "And?" he asked, not understanding the significance of the compliment.

"And I'm not used to it," Satoru replied, his voice soft and unsure. He looked at Sukuna, his eyes pleading for understanding.

Sukuna stared back at him for a moment before shaking his head. "Alright, bruh," he said, his tone dismissive. "Well, I need to find some curses for the 10 shadows, and I got this weird feeling while I was fighting Scott. I think it's a curse."

Satoru's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly regained his composure. "I'm not surprised," he said, referring to Sukuna's fight with Scott. "Want me to go with you?" he asked, his tone hopeful.

Sukuna's nonchalant shrug and casual response of "I don't care" left Gojo feeling a bit disappointed. He had hoped that Sukuna would be more understanding of his discomfort with compliments, but it seemed that the other man just didn't care. However, Gojo quickly pushed aside his feelings and nodded, getting an idea.

"Wanna try teleporting?" Gojo asked, his voice hopeful.

Logan's POV:

As Logan entered the spacious office of Professor Xavier, he couldn't help but feel a sense of familiarity wash over him. The room was adorned with bookshelves filled with an array of literature, and a large mahogany desk sat in the center of the room. Xavier was seated behind the desk, his fingers steepled together as he looked up at Logan with a warm smile.

"Ah, Logan, please have a seat," Xavier said, gesturing to the chair across from him.

Logan obliged, taking a seat in the plush chair as he let out a sigh. "So, how are the new students?" Xavier asked, his tone laced with curiosity.

Logan rubbed his temples, feeling the beginnings of a headache forming. "Well, one of them seems like a battle-hungry maniac, and the other seems to be afraid of social interaction," he replied, his voice laced with exhaustion.

Xavier nodded, his expression thoughtful. "I see. And their powers?" he asked, leaning forward slightly.

"Sukuna seems to be an incredible fighter with great speeds and some kind of slashing ability," Logan replied, his brow furrowing as he tried to recall the details of their earlier sparring match.

"I see, and the other?" Xavier asked, his tone gentle.

Logan let out a frustrated sigh. "I don't know, either he hasn't unlocked it or he can't use it," he replied, shaking his head.

Xavier nodded, his expression thoughtful. "Well, then can you keep an eye on them?" he asked, his tone hopeful.

Logan just shrugged, his expression impassive. "Yup, I can do that," he replied, his voice gruff.

"Thank you, Logan," Xavier said, his tone grateful.

Logan stood up, his chair scraping against the floor as he nodded. "No problem," he replied, his voice gruff. He turned and walked towards the door, his footsteps heavy as he exited the room.

As he walked down the hallway, Logan couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. There was something about those two new students that he couldn't quite put his finger on, something that made him uneasy. He shook his head, pushing the thoughts aside as he continued down the hallway, his mind focused on his next task.
