The crackle of thunder and the peal of lightning above him did nothing to slow Alex down, he was dead to the world, so impressed in his connection with the greater part of life, at this moment it was not just his cultivation that was improving, but his understanding of his martials arts, of the world he lived in. He felt such a deep and fundamental connection to the wind, the earth, the trees, the flames, the sea, life as a whole, living or dead, in one form or the other.
All of this was just a foot into the threshold of a power he could neither make heads or tails of, but he could feel it, feel himself standing right at the threshold of such power, so close, get so far. It would take a lot more time, and a lot more strength for him to be able to finally achieve the height of his power, and even then he would only be one foot into this next and expansive world that he just perceived.
