'Well then time to pick my weapon, Status page' Leo thought excitedly.

'There it is, the new addition. Hahahah I'm getting too excited this is so cool, okay calm down Leo let's just do this already'

'Just picture the weapon that you would like to have in your mind and the system will unlock the subsequent weapon dao and when you are finished a basic copy of the weapon will be outside in your hands for you to practice with,

'Okay okay then which one should I choose, I could go for a spear it would give me enough space to be safe but it would allow me a long enough range to be able to pierce my opponents easily, I could also go with a typical sword but I would only do it to look cool, another one anoth-' as Leo was pondering his choices his eyes fell on a blade which brought out a moment from his past.

~Flashback~

"Swing!"

"Ha!"

"Why grandpa, why do I have to keep swinging? It's not like I'm gonna be needing this in the real world, there are guns that can beat this in a heartbeat!" a young Leo questioned a fierce old man ahead of him

"'Sigh' Leo listen to me, there might one day be a day where you might need to use a blade to protect yourself even if it isn't this one, any experience with a blade can help you and to respond to your last point, some of the greatest swordsmen had reaction speeds so fast that they could even cut bullets in half if they lived in this time"

"WHAT!?" Leo shouted back "You're not lying to me are you, grandpa?" Leo questioned in an adorable voice with sparkling eyes.

"Hahaha, have I ever lied to you kid, one day that could be you, now again!" The old man responded with a hearty laugh and a reassuring smile on his wrinkled face.

"Okay!" Leo shouted back in excitement.

'Grandpa... I guess you were right, looks like I will need it' Leo thought in his head.

"System I choose the Sword Dao: Katana!" Leo shouted to the system with full confidence.

'Ding,

'Player Leo has chosen the Sword Dao: Katana, are you sure?,

"Yes"

'Player Leo shall now be granted a basic level Katana to use and practice with along with the unlocking of the Sword Dao: Katana,

Leo opens his eyes and realizes that he's back on the field with a Katana strapped to his side and upon further inspection, he gets a rundown of the blade.

'Hmm, I guess that's to be expected, after all, I'm still in the tutorial area, there's no way that it would give me a super rare weapon right from the bat, anyway let's check this rarity thing' Leo thought

Upon thinking about the rarity, Leo was given a brief introduction by the system.

'The rarity of the weapons that all players would receive for unlocking their Weapon Dao would be basic and the rarity of weapons is as follows:

Basic-Uncommon-Rare-Ultra-Epic-Legendary-Mythical

Although there are higher levels of rarity, the player isn't at a high enough level to be able to access that information,

'What do you mean by level' Leo questioned

'Your strength and combat power,

'Ohhh, okay then'

Snapping back to his real body Leo took a look around and soon noticed two others who were chatting while constantly gesturing to each others weapon

'Hmm, seems like they're the only two that are out apart from me' Leo observed while walking towards the pair, who upon hearing the footsteps saw Leo and began to walk towards him as well with faces full of smiles.

"Well well it seems like someone's happy today" Leo observed while gesturing towards the two walking to him.

"Hahaha, who wouldn't be happy after getting a free weapon and a way to get stronger for free?" Lewis heartily asked.

"Indeed" stated Hayley, showing a satisfied smile.

On Lewis' hip, there was a sword inside its sheath and Hayley was walking with a spear in hand.

"So Lewis, what's your Weapon Dao officially called?"

"I'm glad you asked, I got the basic one, it read Sword Dao: Basic European Sword. Although, I've already taken a few practice swings and it feels pretty well balanced and I could feel like I was feeling something like a connection trying to establish itself between me and my weapon. It felt weird but at the same time comfortable but no matter how much I tried I couldn't establish the link, I couldn't even try it would feel like I had started to connect but then it would drop off."

"The same thing happened with me plus on my Status Page it says Level Zero on my Weapon Dao section"

"Huh" Leo blurted out

"Did you not check your Status Page after getting your Weapon Dao?" Lewis asked

"S*** no! I always forget to, hold up a second." Leo said and instantly went to check his Status Page.

'Damn, then it looks like to get to level 1 we need to successfully create this connection and I think that the fact that the Skills section now says None instead of Locked means that we can learn skills related to our weapons. That should be pretty good, anyway, let me go speak to Lewis and Hayley about this.' Leo thought about this and soon left his thoughts and opened his eyes.
