Chapter 4: the maze mechanism
Sebastian said "master! Don't give up! We will get out of here alive!" Rosario said to herself "wait, it will be embarrassing if I die in the place that I created. I must overpower this place or else I won't leave this place alive!"
Rosario said "Sebastian! Catch me!!" Sebastian rushed towards Rosario and carried her. Rosario said, "Sebastian, help me secure our way out because the trap is about to close." The floor above them is regenerating at a very fast rate and the pointy rocks are glowing in preparation to attack... The floor has fully regenerated and everyone is trapped inside.
Rosario smashed her fist out of anger and said "god damn it! If only I can return time I will lessen the difficulty of this dungeon before I die!" Rory asked, "master, what should we do now?" Rosario answered "Rory, Janna, and Rengar, I want you to cover me and Sebastian. We will create a hole at this obstacle." They all said, "yes master!"
The pointy rocks start to launch consecutive attacks and the 3 of them keep on protecting Sebastian and Rosario. Rosario said "Sebastian! Use your skill final spark and shoot it!" Sebastian used skill and said "final spark!" Sebastian opens his mouth and a light beam is produced out of his mouth that shoots towards the rocky ceiling. However, It's not powerful enough to create a hole.
Rosario said to Keros and Rose "Rose, Keros, lend me your power for I'm going to summon those 5 dragons." Rose and Keros said, "yes master!" A huge power rushed inside Rosario and Rosario asked Athena "is this how powerful Gods are?... Wait, why does it kind of feel like Keros is much more powerful than Rose?" Athena answered "it's because Keros's magic quality is far more inferior than those. Moreover, Rose is 5th to the strongest god that ever lived. While Keros is the strongest Guardian deity, that is equal to the strongest God." Rosario said "I'll just leave it as that for now. I'll create a large-scale summoning."
Rosario started to cast an incantation saying "may my magic grant me the strength to decipher the laws of nature and grants us the miracle that can rival against the fate bestowed upon us for I'm Rosario Mourning Star the previous king of the demon lords refuses to die here!" A huge magic circle has been created behind Rosario and she shouted, "summon dragon!"
A very loud and terrifying roar can be heard coming from the magic circle. The magic circle transformed into a portal and at that portal 5 Chinese dragons came out of it. The 5 dragons have different colors and those colors symbolize the elemental power that they possess. (earth, lightning, water, fire, and wind). The fire dragon said, "we're ready to take your order, my lord, just tell us what we're going to do."
Rosario gave them an order and said "destroy this ceiling that is blocking my way!" All 5 dragons took a deep breath and exhaled powerful elemental attacks that they possessed. Rosario said to herself "now we have these dragons, it will just take a few seconds for us to break free from this trap."
While they are all busy trying to escape, the pointy rocks below them are gathering large-scale magic. Rory, Janna, and Rengar noticed it and Rory asked "master, what is that gigantic ball of lightning?" Rosario looked at it and said, "don't tell me, it's about to shoot us with its finishing blows?!" Janna asked, "is that thing dangerous and deadly?" Rosario said, "yes, the moment it launches while we are all still here, we're all dead." Rosario said to herself "if I could remember, that finishing blow I named it lightning vortex. At that kind of size, I think its power is almost the same as 60xC6 bombs. Its radius of destruction is nearly 3km." Rosario asked "Athena, I can't remember how to stop this from launching, can you suggest anything on how to deal with this?" Athena said "calculation complete, I suggest destroying those pointy stones below it to slow down its charging mechanism." Rosario did what Athena suggested. Rosario used skill and said "lightning strike!" Rosario pointed her staff towards the pointy stones below them and created a magic circle that spits out consecutive lightning attacks. Rosario destroys the pointy stones below them little by little. Rosario said to herself "damn it! We managed to slow down its charging mechanism but it's still almost finished charging. In a few seconds, it will launch its most powerful attack to kill us all."
Meruem is just watching the place where Rosario is being trapped. Meruem asked "what do you think? Will she be able to escape that trap, demon lord Zestiya?" Zestiya said "I don't expect her to survive there. I've experienced that trap firsthand myself. If it wasn't for my ability to play with the death I won't be alive talking to you, right now. Even if she managed to escape, it would still not be easy. After all, according to what I have experienced in that maze, that trap is the weakest among those I have encountered. Moreover, if the traps are not enough to bring her down, monsters will come right after and hunt her down and every 10mins the monsters multiply into 2 each. Also, every hour the maze summons much stronger monsters right after all the traps are activated."
They were caught by surprise when suddenly the trap that Rosario is in blows up like an erupting volcano. Moreover, they saw 5 Chinese dragon flies out of it and they saw Rosario riding in the water, Rengar riding the earth dragon, Janna riding the lightning dragon, Rory riding the fire dragon, and lastly Sebastian riding the wind dragon. Rosario said, "I order you to take us away from this place as far as you can!" The dragons fly within the maze as far as they can.
Rory noticed a gigantic ball of lightning floating in the hole that they created. Rory looked at it and said, "look master that ball is 10x bigger than before." Rosario said "idiot! Don't look at it and close your ears!" It's not just Rory who did what Rosario asked, all of her aid summon did it.
Meruem was amazed by the looks of the gigantic ball of lightning and said "wow, look at it Zestiya. It's amazing, it can store thousands of energy." Zestiya said "idiot! Reinforced the strength of the maze because it will cause mass destruction!" Meruem said "alright! I'll do it!" Meruem did what Zestiya asked her to do. Meruem said "I wonder, why you're so afraid of-" before he could finish what he was about to say, the gigantic ball of lightning burst into an explosion on a large scale.
The 5 dragons fly much faster but they've reached a dead end. Rosario said, "I guess this is my end, I'm going to die." The water dragon said "no! The 5 of you will not die here!" The earth dragon said, "don't lose hope, you have to stay alive and keep on fighting no matter what." Rosario asked "what are you-" before she could finish speaking, the dragons used their bodies to create a shield for them. Rengar said "wait? You guys are trying to sacrifice yourselves to protect us?" Janna said, "from the looks of it, that's what they are going to do." The lightning dragon said, "Keros ordered us to protect Lord Rosario and her aids at all cost." The wind dragon added, "besides, Lord Rosario is the reincarnation of our late Lord Lucifer." The fire dragon said, "our Lucifer disappeared on us and we won't let our lord disappear again no matter what." The explosion is about to get them and the dragons have fully covered the 5 of them. Rosario's tears fall from her eyes and the water dragon wiped out her tears and said: "don't cry my lord, we will return-ugh please wait for us master." They are enduring the intense pain that they are experiencing, not until the explosion stops. The dragons turned into ashes and all of them got dizzy and cannot hear clearly due to the intense explosion. The explosion created a crater in the maze that has a diameter of 59.8km. Judging by the looks of it, they are just near the center of the explosion. They weren't able to get away further because they met a dead end.
Rosario asked, "are those 5 dragons still alive?" Athena answered, "yes master, as long as Keros is still alive, they won't die." Rosario said, "that's a relief, I'll be thanking them for helping me escape my death the next time we meet each other." Rory said "yehey! We survived!" Rengar and Sebastian laugh out loud. However, their laughter didn't last long when they heard a voice saying "wow, you really are a lucky bastard but that luck won't last long because the real struggle for surviving in this maze begins now!"
The maze regenerates itself including the crater. A lot of lights flash like an explosion around the maze and as that happens they hear a lot of roaring monsters throughout the maze. Rory asked, "what is going on master." The voice that they heard said "I would like to see you struggle more, Rosario Mourning Star. I will make you pay for disrespecting my lord's servants." Rosario asked "wait, this voice is familiar. Isn't, she one of the demon lords, right Athena?" Athena answered, "yes master and her name is Demon lord Zestiya." Rosario said "She's an expert when it comes to managing dungeons. After all, I asked Vanitas when I'm not around. I want Zestiya to manage my dungeon. She might be inside of this dungeon."
While Rosario is thinking, the ground where they are standing starts to rumble like there's a gigantic thing that is approaching. The gigantic thing appeared right in front of them. It has a dinosaur head with a bit of a humanoid body. The monster roared at them loudly and Rosario said to herself "this is the 2nd problem. Once we pass the hour of staying at this maze. The difficulty of conquering this maze will slowly become life-threatening."
