#68 Incredulity

Athyn waited to make sure no one else would interrupt her. When there was nothing but silence, she smiled and walked slowly towards Kier.

"You're…" she made a pause for a few seconds, making sure Kier's stare was still on her as she approached. It was. "You're not with this redhead now, are you, Wolfie? I was hoping we'd continue what we interrupted."

"No, I'm not with her," said Kier. "And could you not ruin the sight with your voice? It's distracting me."

Athyn took in some air to speak and her chest expanded. Kier lifted his hand with his thumb and index finger pressed together and shushed. Athyn let out the air and her chest fell. Kier's lips parted slightly.

"Oh, by Cinael's gray wings," said Ina. "She has eyes, Kier."

"And they are in my peripheral vision," Kier looked away from Athyn's chest to look at Ina in the eyes. "They're just not my focus."

"Wolfie?" said Peppermint. "Seriously?"
